복합대중교통망의 링크표지갱신 다목적 경로탐색 (A Link-Based Label Correcting Multi-Objective Shortest Paths Algorithm in Multi-Modal Transit Networks)

  • 교통망에서 출발지와 도착지를 연결하는 최적경로탐색(Optimum Shortest Path)의 기준은 통행시간, 통행비용, 통행요금, 통행거리 등 복수의 기준에서 단일기준(Single Attribute Objective)을 선정하여 선정된 기준에 대하여 최소화되는 경로를 탐색하는 것을 의미하며 최적경로 탐색기법으로 탐색이 가능하다. 다목적 경로탐색(Multi-Objective Shortest Paths)에서는 이들 복수의 기준 (Multi-Objective)을 고려하여 경로를 탐색한다. 최근까지 다목적경로탐색에 대한 연구는 대부분 단일의 교통수단만으로 구성된 교통망에 대한 가정을 기반으로 이루어졌으며, 다수의 교통수단이 혼재된 교통망(Multi-Modal Transportation Network)에서 다목적경로탐색에 대한 연구는 환승에 대한 문제를 최적해법 차원에서 고려하지 않았으며, 교통정보 분야에서 일반적으로 적용되는 동적계획법(Dynamic Programming)에 기반한 알고리즘에 대한 연구는 다수단교통망에서 다목적경로탐색 문제에서 검토되지 않았다. 본 연구는 다수단교통망에서 다목적경로탐색 문제에서 최적 해를 도출하기 위한 동적계획법 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 Skriver & Andersen (2000)이 제시한 2기준 노드표지갱신 알고리즘을 기반으로 네트워크의 확장없이 수단 간의 환승이 반영되도록 2기준 이상의 다기준 링크표지갱신 알고리즘으로 개발하는 방안으로 확대한다. 본 연구는 다기준 링크표지가 다수단 교통망에 적용했다는 점 이외에, 출발지에서 모든 링크까지 비지배경로를 탐색하는 과정이 효율적으로 이루어지도록 출발지에서 개별 링크까지의 비지배경로/트리(Path/Tree) 집합을 표지처럼 활용하였다. 다수단교통망에서 다목적경로탐색문제에 적합한 도시부의 대중교통망에 한정하여 경로탐색속성을 환승과 링크주행속성으로 구분하였다. 본 연구에서 제안된 알고리즘의 계산과정을 소규모 복합대중교통망을 통해 검증하였다.

Multipoint variable generalized displacement methods: Novel nonlinear solution schemes in structural mechanics

  • The generalized displacement method is a nonlinear solution scheme that follows the equilibrium path of the structure based on the development of the generalized displacement. This method traces the path uniformly with a constant amount of generalized displacement. In this article, we first develop higher-order generalized displacement methods based on multi-point techniques. According to the concept of generalized stiffness, a relation is proposed to adjust the generalized displacement during the path-following. This formulation provides the possibility to change the amount of generalized displacement along the path due to changes in generalized stiffness. We, then, introduce higher-order algorithms of variable generalized displacement method using multi-point methods. Finally, we demonstrate with numerical examples that the presented algorithms, including multi-point generalized displacement methods and multi-point variable generalized displacement methods, are capable of following the equilibrium path. A comparison with the arc length method, generalized displacement method, and multi-point arc-length methods illustrates that the adjustment of generalized displacement significantly reduces the number of steps during the path-following. We also demonstrate that the application of multi-point methods reduces the number of iterations.

CAMR: Congestion-Aware Multi-Path Routing Protocol for Wireless Mesh Networks

  • The Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) is a multi-hop wireless network consisting of mesh routers and clients, where the mesh routers have minimal mobility and form the backbone. The WMN is primarily designed to access outer network to mesh clients through backhaul gateways. As traffic converges on the gateways, traffic hotspots are likely to form in the neighborhood of the gateways. In this paper, we propose Congestion Aware Multi-path Routing (CAMR) protocol to tackle this problem. Upon congestion, CAMR divides the clients under a mesh STA into two groups and returns a different path for each group. The CAMR protocol triggers multi-path routing in such a manner that the packet reordering problem is avoided. Through simulations, we show that CAMR improves the performance of the WMN in terms of throughput, delay and packet drop ratio.

  • Recently, according to the various taste of consumers, the design of a product is changed variously and complicatedly. The complicated product is not usually constructed with one path but multi-path. By the way, in machining, higher precision and the reduction of leading and machining time is required. But, for the multi-patch sculptured surface, the amount of machining data becomes large. This means the increase of leading and machining time. In this study, the tool path generation method with reparameterization is proposed for multi-patch sculptured surface and variable step size using NURBS is used to satisfy the precision and to reduce leading and machining time.

한국 표준으로 제안된 GCR에 의한 임펄스 응답특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the impulse response characteristics by using the GCR proposed for korean standard)

  • This paper presents an impulse response of the multi-path channel using KS-GCR(Korean Standard Ghost Cancel Reference) signal. Using the property of the KS-GCRsignal, we can get the impulse response of the multi-path channel from circular cross correlation of the received DS-GCR signal and the orginal KS-GCR ternary sequence. Therefore impulse response of the multi-path channel can be used to design the the ghost cancellation filter if it is designed to have inverse characteristics of multi-path channel. This paper shows that the ghost occurred from the multi-path channel can be cancelled by using the impulse response and preceding ghost cancellation algorithm.

A Bandwidth Adaptive Path Selection Scheme in IEEE 802.16 Relay Networks

  • The IEEE 802.16 mobile multi-hop relay (MMR) task group 'j' (TGj) has introduced the multi-hop relaying concept in the IEEE 802.16 Wireless MAN, wherein a relay station (RS) is employed to improve network coverage and capacity. Several RSs can be deployed between a base station and mobile stations, and configured to form a tree-like multi-hop topology. In such architecture, we consider the problem of a path selection through which the mobile station in and outside the coverage can communicate with the base station. In this paper, we propose a new path selection algorithm that ensures more efficient distribution of resources such as bandwidth among the relaying nodes for improving the overall performance of the network. Performance of our proposed scheme is compared with the path selection algorithms based on loss rate and the shortest path algorithm. Based on the simulation results using ns-2, we show our proposal significantly improves the performance on throughput, latency and bandwidth consumption.

가중계수에 의한 다회선 초음파유량계의 유량적분오차 (Flowrate Integration Errors of Multi-path Ultrasonic Flowmeter using Weighting Factors)

  • Multi-path ultrasonic flowrate measuring technology is being received much attentions from a variety of industrial fields to exactly measure the flowrate. Multi-path ultrasonic flowmeter has much advantage since it has no moving parts and little pressure loss. It offers good accuracy, repeatability, linearity and turn-down ratio can be over 1:50. The present study investigates flowrate integration errors using weighting factors. A theoretical flow model uses power law to describe a fully developed velocity profiles and wall roughness is changed. Gaussian, Chebyshev, and Tailor methods are used to integrate line-average velocities. The obtained results show that Chebyshev method in 2, 4-path arrangement and Gaussian method in 3, 5-path arrangement are not affected for wall roughness changes.

멀티 모바일 로봇 시스템의 충돌회피 경로 계획 : 퍼지 및 포텐셜 필드 방법 적용 (Collision Avoidance Path Planning for Multi-Mobile Robot System : Fuzzy and Potential Field Method Employed)

  • In multi-mobile robot environment, path planning and collision avoidance are important issue to perform a given task collaboratively and cooperatively. The proposed approach is based on a potential field method and fuzzy logic system. For a global path planner, potential field method is employed to select proper path of a corresponding robot and fuzzy logic system is utilized to avoid collisions with static or dynamic obstacles around the robot. This process is continued until the corresponding target of each robot is reached. To test this method, several simulation-based experimental results are given. The results show that the path planning and collision avoidance strategies are effective and useful for multi-mobile robot systems.

다차원 경로격자지도를 이용한 주차 경로계획 알고리즘 (Path Planning for Parking using Multi-dimensional Path Grid Map)

  • Recent studies on automatic parking have actively adopted the technology developed for mobile robots. Among them, the path planning scheme plans a route for a vehicle to reach a target parking position while satisfying the kinematic constraints of the vehicle. However, previous methods require a large amount of computation and/or cannot be easily applied to different environmental conditions. Therefore, there is a need for a path planning scheme that is fast, efficient, and versatile. In this study, we use a multi-dimensional path grid map to solve the above problem. This multi-dimensional path grid map contains a route which has taken a vehicle's kinematic constraints into account; it can be used with the $A^*$ algorithm to plan an efficient path. The proposed method was verified using Prescan which is a simulation program based on MATLAB. It is shown that the proposed scheme can successfully be applied to both parallel and vertical parking in an efficient manner.

  • 최근 무선 센서 네트워크를 통해 멀티미디어 데이터를 전송하고자 하는 노력이 늘고 있다. 무선 센서 네트워크는 저 전력 소형 노드를 이용하며, 낮은 전송 속도를 갖는 네트워크이다. 하지만 멀티미디어 데이터는 비교적 큰 용량을 가지며, 전송 시 지연에 민감한 특성을 갖는다. 그러므로 무선 센서 네트워크를 이용하여 멀티미디어 데이터를 전송하는 것은 어려운 일이 아닐 수 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 무선 센서 네트워크 환경에서 멀티미디어 데이터 전송을 위해 경로의 겹침이 없는 노드 독립적인 (Node-Disjoint) Multi-path Routing방법을 제안한다. 대용량의 데이터 전송 시 기존의 Single-path Routing 방법은 하나의 경로만을 사용하기 때문에 특정 노드에 부하를 가중시켜 데이터 손실이나 지연을 야기 시킬 수 있지만, 본 논문에서 제안하는 TinyONDMR(Tiny Optimized Node-Disjoint Multi-path Routing)방법은 서로 분리된 다른 경로에 데이터를 분산시켜 전송함으로써, 네트워크의 성능을 향상시킨다. 또한 Multi-path를 찾기 위한 라우팅 과정에서 발생하는 라우팅 오버헤드를 줄여 네트워크 부하를 감소시킨다.
