  • In this paper, the effect of open crack on the dynamic behavior of simply supported Timoshenko beam with a moving mass was studied. The influences of the depth and the position of the crack on the beam were studied on the dynamic behavior of the simply supported beam system by numerical methods. The equation of motion is derived by using Lagrange's equation. The crack section is represented by a local flexibility matrix connecting two undamaged beam segments. The crack is modeled as a rotational spring. This flexibility matrix defines the relationship between the displacements and forces on the crack section and is derived by applying fundamental fracture mechanics theory. As the depth of the crack increases, the mid-span deflection of the Timoshenko beam with a moving mass is increased.

  • To determine the effect of transverse open crack on the dynamic behavior of simply-supported Euler-Bernoulli beam with the moving masses, an iterative modal analysis approach is developed. The influence of depth and position of the crack in the beam, on the dynamic behavior of the simply supported beam system, have been studied by numerical method. The cracked section is represented by a local flexibility matrix, connecting two undamaged beam segments that is, the crack is modeled as a rotational spring. This flexibility matrix defines the relationship between the displacements and forces across the crack section, and is derived by applying a fundamental fracture mechanics theory. As the depth of the crack is increased, the mid-span deflection of the simply-supported beam, with the moving mass, is increased. The crack is positioned in the middle point of the pipe, and the mid-span defection of the simply-supported pipe represents maximum deflection.

  • An iterative modal analysis approach is developed to determine the effect of transverse open cracks on the dynamic behavior of simply supported Euler-Bernoulli beams with the moving masses. The influences of the velocities of moving masses, the distance between the moving masses and a crack have been studied on the dynamic behavior of a simply supported beam system by numerical method. The Presence of crack results In large deflection of beam. The crack section is represented by a local flexibility matrix connecting two undamaged beam segments i.e. the crack is modelled as a rotational spring. This flexibility matrix defines the relationship between the displacements and forces across the crack section and is derived by applying fundamental fracture mechanics theory. Totally, as the velocity of the moving masses and the distance between the moving masses are increased, the mid-span deflection of simply supported beam with the crack is decreased.

  • In this paper, we studied about the effects of the rotating cantilever pipe conveying fluid with a moving mass. The influences of a rotating angular velocity, the velocity of fluid flow and moving mass on the dynamic behavior of a cantilever pipe have been studied by the numerical method. The equation of motion is derived by using the Lagrange's equation. The cantilever pipe is modeled by the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory. When the velocity of a moving mass is constant, the lateral tip-displacement of a cantilever pipe is proportional to the moving mass and the angular velocity. In the steady state, the lateral tip-displacement of a cantilever pipe is more sensitive to the velocity of fluid than the angular velocity, and the axial deflection of a cantilever pipe is more sensitive to the effect of a angular velocity. Totally, as the moving mass is increased, the frequency of a cantilever pipe is decreased in steady state.

  • A conveying fluid cantilever pipe subjected to a uniformly distributed tangential follower force and three moving masses upon it constitute this vibrational system. The influences of the velocities of moving masses, the distance between two moving masses, and the uniformly distributed tangential follower force have been studied on the dynamic behavior of a cantilever pipe system by numerical method. The uniformly distributed tangential follower force is considered within its critical value of a cantilever pipe without moving masses, and three constant velocities and three constant distances between two moving masses are also chosen. When the moving masses exist on pipe, as the velocity of the moving mass and the distributed tangential follower force Increases. the deflection of cantilever pipe conveying fluid is decreased, respectively Increasing of the velocity of fluid flow makes the amplitude of a cantilever pipe conveying fluid decrease. After the moving mass passed upon the pipe, the tip- displacement of a pipe is influenced by the coupling effect between interval and velocity of moving mass and the potential energy change of a cantilever pipe. Increasing of the moving mass make the frequency of the cantilever pipe conveying fluid decrease.

  • The pre-examination closely beforehand relation between the articles on exhibition and visitors, the visitors and exhibition space, the exhibition space and the articles on exhibition, and the acceptance of various requirements are the matters you should consider in the initial stage when planning the establishment of a museum. Especially, the clear guideline for the layout of exhibition to meet the intention of spectators considered based on the seeing behavior in the exhibition hall (i.e. they see the articles on exhibition in order passively under instructions of the museum or select them by themselves positively etc.), and the moving line of appreciation and the exhibition type seems to be not yet prepared sufficiently. This study can be defined as the study of fundamental background for the architectural guideline for the characteristics of visitor's behavior, the selected moving line in the exhibition hall, the layout against the forced moving line and the type of exhibition space. As a part of this study, we carried out the research and the study for how the movement of visitors and the characteristics of seeing behaviors according to the type of the moving line are shown, based on the type of moving line for seeing suggested by David Dean.

Their coupling effects on the transverse vibration of the simply supported beam are inspected too. In this study the simply supported beam is deflected with small vibration proportional to natural frequency of the moving spring-mass systems. According to the increasing of initial displacement of the moving spring-mass systems the amplitude of the small vibration of the simply supported beam is increased due to the spring force. The velocity of the moving spring-mass system more affect on the transverse deflection of simply supported beam than other factors of the system and the effect is dominant at high velocity of the moving spring-mass systems.
