  • In this paper, we propose a method of restoring blurred images by an edge-sensitive adaptive filter. The direction of the edge is estimated using the properties of 2-D block FFT. Reduction of blurring due to the added noise during image transfer and the focus of lens caused by shooting a fast moving object is very important. To remove this phenomenon effectively, we can use the edge information obtained by processing the blurred images. The proposed algorithm estimates both the existence and the direction of the edge. On the basis of the acquired edge direction information, we choose the appropriate edge-sensitive adaptive filter, which enables us to get better images than images obtained by methods not considering the direction of the edge. The performance of the proposed algorithm is shown in the simulation result.

  • In this paper, we applied FFT to PCB Images, cutting unnecessary singals and noise, moving the starting point to center of image and used rotaion transform. from the detected edge Hough Transform identify the length, but not the angle, so we matched PCB images with using rotation transform to identify length and angle. After rotation transform we employ Least Squared Method to exact stereo matching.

Investigation of passive flow control on the bluff body with moving-belt experiment

  • The passive control methods such as horizontal and vertical fences on the lower surface of the bluff body were applied to suppress the vortex shedding and enhance the aerodynamic stability of flow. For investigating the effects of the passive control methods, wind tunnel experiments on the unsteady flow field around a bluff body near a moving ground were performed. The boundary layer and velocity profiles were measured by the Hot Wire Anemometer (HWA) system and the vortex shedding patterns and flow structures in a wake region were visualized via the Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) system. Also, it is a measuring on moving ground condition that the experimental values of the critical gap distances, Strouhal numbers and aerodynamic force FFT analyses. Through the experiments, we found that the momentum supply due to moving ground caused the vortex shedding at the lower critical gap distance rather than that of fixed ground. The horizontal and vertical fences increase the critical gap distance and it can suppress the vortex shedding. Consequently, the stability characteristics of the bluff body near a moving ground could be effectively enhanced by the simple passive control such as the vertical fences.

주파수 해상도 증가를 위해 Zoom FFT 기법을 사용한 ADCP 음향신호처리 (Acoustic Signal Processing for ADCP using Zoom FFT Method to increase Frequency Resolution)

  • 본 논문에서는 수심이 낮은 곳에서도 ADCP(Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler)를 사용할 수 있도록 주파수 해상도를 높이는 음향신호처리 기법을 제안하였다. ADCP는 유속을 측정하는 장치이다. 일반적으로 바다에서 사용하는 ADCP는 수심의 제약이 없어서 300K Hz 이하의 중심주파수를 사용할 수 있으나 하천의 경우는 가뭄이 길어지면 수심이 30cm 이하도 나타나기 때문에 사용하기 힘들다. 따라서 기존의 신호처리 방법으로는 수심이 낮은 하천에서 유속을 측정하기 매우 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 낮은 하천의 수심을 고려하여 Zoom FFT 방법을 이용하여 유속을 추정하는 연구를 시뮬레이션해본 결과 이론적으로는 약 ${\pm}62\;cm/s$ 정도의 오차를 줄일 수 있었고, 실험적으로는 약 ${\pm}93\;cm/s$ 정도의 오차가 줄어들었다. 실험에서도 기존의 알고리즘으로 추정이 안 되었던 것이, 유속 20 cm/s 이상에서는 유속 추정이 가능하였다.

전차 탑재 L-밴드 펄수 도플러 레이더 설계 및 제작 (L-band Pulsed Doppler Radar Development for Main Battle Tank)

  • 전차 탑재 레이더는 기상에 관계없이 전천후로 대전차 미사일을 탐지하는 능동 방호 장치의 필수적인 센서이다. 본 논문에서는 전차 탑재 레이더의 설계, 제작 및 시험 결과를 제시한다. 레이더 시스템은 안테나부, 송수신부, 신호처리부의 3개의 LRU로 구성되며, 개발 기술은 패치 안테나, SSPA 송신기, coherent I/Q detector, DSP기반 도플러 FFT 필터, 적응 CFAR, TWS 추적기 및 위협 판단을 포함한다. 개발된 레이더 시스템의 설계 성능은 고정 및 기동 시험을 통하여 확인한다.

  • 주파수 변조 방식의 연속 파형을 사용하는 레이다 시스템에서는 이동 목표물 등의 원격탐지를 위하여 각 거리에 따른 변이 주파수 및 추가적인 도플러 스펙트럼의 추정이 필요하다. 그러나 이러한 기저대역 또는 중간주파수 대역의 스펙트럼 추정은 주로 FFT 기법에 의하여 이루어지며 목표물에 대한 수신신호 시간이 비교적 짧은 경우 클러터 등의 강력한 간섭신호의 부엽이 인접 도플러 필터에 누설되어 탐지하고자 하는 신호가 가려지는 문제가 나타나게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 약간의 처리손실을 감수하더라도 부엽의 절대적인 크기를 낮출 수 있는 효과적인 데이터 윈도잉 기법 및 그 결과들을 고찰하고 분석하였다.

디젤기관의 속도제어를 위한 최적회전수 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimun Speed Measurement for the Speed Control of a Diesel Engine)

  • A diesel Engine rotates vibratively because of alternative explosion strokes. Traditional measurement of a diesel engine speed is carried out by measuring output voltage of FV convertor from input signals of MPU(magnetic pickup unit) or of DC tachometer. Because these measurement include also vibrative rotation of a diesel engine, an analog filter is often used to eliminate high frequency noises due to periodic explosion stroke. But by this method these high frequency noises do not eliminated effectively because noise frequencies are changed according to diesel engine speed. In this paper, author proposes a new measurement method of a diesel engine revolution which read digital signal directly from MPU and prove the utility of proposed method through the real experiment.

  • Monopulse active homing radar requires velocity and angle information of target to track fast moving target. Target velocity can be estimated by measuring the frequency shift between transmitted and received frequencies. Angle information is obtained by measuring boresight error. Measurement of doppler frequency component in received signal is done through FFT analysis and interpolation algorithm for fine tuning.   • This study simulates the flow characteristics of the turbo-fan which was applied to the industrial scale. Numerical analysis has been carried out to investigate a pulsation behavior of exhaust air that flow out the turbo fan, considering a constant rotating rate of impeller. Moving mesh technique provides time-accurate solutions for the flow inside an impeller. From the numerical results, FFT analysis has been made for pressure pulsations inside turbo-fan casing. The numerical simulation shows the pulsation of model-2 has higher than model. Additionally, BPF value is almost same as the numerical results.

타이드 아치교와 KTX열차의 동적상호작용을 고려한 공진현상 분석 (Investigation of Resonance Occurrence Conditions by Dynamic Interaction Analysis between Arch bridge and KTX Trains)

  • Resonance occurrence conditions are explored by performing dynamic interaction analysis of arch bridge and KTX trains. The target bridge is a 3D tied-arch bridge having span length of 120m. KTX trains consist of two power carriages, two power and passenger carriages and sixteen passenger carriages. When KTX trains run on the target bridge with the uniform speed of 100 to 500km/h, the dynamic responses of the bridge induced by moving trains are obtained from railway arch bridge-train interaction analysis. Two resonance conditions are presented and whether the resonance phenomena occur or not at the suspicious resonance velocities is rigorously investigated through bridge deflections and accelerations and their FFT analysis.
