Purpose: This study compared and analyzed the effect of the proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) arm extension pattern and leg flexion pattern on the contralateral lower extremity muscles when the patterns were applied to the same subject. Methods: In the study, 35 healthy men and women who understood the PNF patterns were selected as participants. The participants completed the PNF arm extension-abduction-internal rotation pattern and leg flexion-adduction-external rotation with knee flexion pattern in the supine position. While the patients' completed each pattern, the contralateral leg muscle activity was measured to examine the irradiation effect. The maximum isometric contraction time of the muscles to be measured was kept for 5 seconds, and the mean value was obtained by repeating the pattern three times. Results: When the leg flexion-adduction-external rotation with knee flexion pattern was completed, the muscle activity in the vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, biceps femoris, tibialis anterior, and gastrocnemius of the contralateral lower extremity was significantly greater than that found in the PNF arm extension-abduction-internal rotation pattern. Conclusion: The PNF leg flexion pattern showed greater muscle activity on the contralateral lower extremity than the arm extension pattern. Thus, the PNF leg extension pattern is more effective in the activation of the muscles associated with weight-bearing activity.

This study searched the philosophical and medical thought of mutual understanding and human body. Mutual understanding is a fundamental problem in all branches of oriental studies. In other words, mutual understanding becomes the existential foundation of heaven-earth-human(三才). So human beings, heaven and the earth can't exist if there is no mutual understanding. It comes out the problem of self-consciousness in philosophy, and qi movement pattern like upward, downward, inward and outward movement in traditional korean medicine. Human beings have mutual understandings with heaven and the earth from a macroscopic standpoint, on the other side the human body from a microscopic standpoint. Qi movement is the mutual understanding and response of qi in human body, so with which the physiological functions and pathologic changes of viscera and bowels comes out. Therefore we want to present how to complete qi movement between viscera-bowels and organs to examine mutual understandings in human body closely. The results was summarized as follows; First, upbearing the clear yang and down bearing the turbid yin of spleen-stomach is main pivot of upward and downward of qi movement, and it is true form of mutual understandings between viscera and bowels, so upward, downward, inward and outward movement of whole viscera and bowels can be controlled by spleen-stomach. Second, by restraining relationships between downward heart fire and upward kidney water, heart fire and kidney water have close communications physiologically and pathologically as upper-lower, yin-yang and water-fire. Third, by restraining relationships between upbearing and effusion of liver and purification and down-sending of lung, liver and lung are outer circles of upward and downward movement, so they have antagonistic functions. Firth, by the relationships between upbearing the clear and down bearing the turbid of spleen-stomach and free coursing of liver, free coursing of liver-gallbladder is the essential requirement that it certify transportation and transformation of spleen-earth, so the disease of liver-gallbladder induce spleen-stomach disease pattern to affect its function of transportation and transformation. Fifth, by spleen and kidney, spleen yang is based on kidney yang, so the weakness of kidney yang can affect the function of transportation and transformation of spleen-stomach as it can't warm spleen earth. Sixth, by homogeny of liver-kidney, essence and blood of liver-kidney and ministerial fire of liver-kidney have mutal generation and limitation physiologically and they mutually are affected in pathologically.

This paper presents an EMG pattern classification method to identify motion commands for the control of the artificial arm by SOM-TVC(self organizing map - tracking Voronoi cell) based on neural network with a feature parameter. The eigenvalue is extracted as a feature parameter from the EMG signals and Voronoi cells is used to define each pattern boundary in the pattern recognition space. And a TVC algorithm is designed to track the movement of the Voronoi cell varying as the condition of additive noise. Results are presented to support the efficiency of the proposed SOM-TVC algorithm for EMG pattern recognition and compared with the conventional EDM and BPNN methods.

The author has studied mandibular opening and closing movement patterns using mandibular kinesiograph in order to make basic data that is necessary to diagnose the mandibular movement function. The 83 normal subjects, who were students of the school of dentistry. Kyunpook National University and Daegu Junior Health College, were selected according to sampling criteria. The results were as follow : In the sagittal plan, crossover pattern had the highest incidence in male (72.7%) and female(76.8%). There was no significant defference of distribution of habitual closing movement patterns between male and female.(p>0.05). There were difference between each patterns.(p<0.01) In the frontal plane, there was no difference of distribution of male's opening and closing movement patterns between habitual and maximum velocity (p<0.05),but difference between each subjects. (p<0.05) In the frontal plane, there was no difference of distribution of habitual opening and closing movement patterns between male and female.(p<0.05) In the frontal plane, the average number of habitual opening and closing pathways cross the midline was greater than that of maximum velocity.(p<0.05) The average of the maximum mandibular movemet velocity of male was greater than female in opening and contact(p<0.01) and there was no difference between male and female in closing.(p>0.05)

본 연구는 아시아신공업화의 구조적 특징 하에서 한국자본주의 문제점이 전형적으로 나타나는 자동차산업을 대상으로 하여 한국 빅 쓰리체제의 확립 및 재편성에 대해 분석하는 것이다. 특히 선행연구에서 비교 분석을 통해, 아시아신공업화는 수출뿐만 아니라 대일부품수입으로 대변되는 부품공급도 포함하고 있음을 강조하였다. 또한 아시아신공업화 하에서 한국자본주의사에서 구축된 자동차산업의 발전패턴, 기술집적 등의 요점, 즉 한국 신공업화의 구조적 특질에 대해 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해, 자동차산업은 아시아신공업화의 Frame-work의 특징을 가지고 있다는 점을 명백히 한다.

Brain Computer Interface (BCI) is a communication pathway between devices (computers) and human brain. It treats brain signals in real-time basis and discriminates some information of what human brain is doing. In this work, we develop a EEG BCI system using a feature extraction such as common spatial pattern (CSP) and a classifier using Fisher linear discriminant analysis (FLDA). Two-class EEG motor imagery movement datasets with both cued and uncued are tested to verify its feasibility.

The spasmogenic activities and acute toxicity study of Yumijangquebo (YMJQB), a Korean herbal laxative formulation, were subjected to pharmacological evaluation. When tested in the contractile extent of guinea pig ileum, YMJQB displayed a spasmogenic effects in a concentration up to 0.05mg/ml and then decreased contractility of ileum; exhibiting the similar pattern with acetylcholine, a physiological regulator for peristaltic movement of the gut.(omitted)

A movement of visitor is a practical means that provides a spatial arrangement of exhibits and validity to that principle. Thus, an exhibition of a museum cannot be completed by an intrinsic value of exhibition itself. Thereby the purpose of this thesis is finding out the relationship between the visitors' pattern and spatial configuration in museum. As a result, as for the visitors' movement, it was grasped that diversified patterns of movements could appear in case the selections of courses are diversified within the environment in that the general understanding about the spaces was easy. That is, the exhibition environment in that general understanding about the spaces is easy because of the low depth of the exhibition space recognized from the entrance of the exhibition space and composition of exhibition space with diversified selections of courses may induce diversity of viewing patterns. That is, it may mean that in such composition of space, visitors may establish viewing courses based on their own purposes of viewing and preference thus they form individual spatial experiences themselves.

In a coastal area, all of the vessels are always exposed to the potential risk, taking into the maritime accident statistics account over the last decades. To manage vessels underway safety, the characteristics of ship movements in a fairway should be recognized by VTS system or VTS operators. The IMO has already mandated the shipboard carriage of AIS since 2004, as stated in SOLAS Chapter V Regulation 19. As a result, the static and dynamic information of AIS data has been collected for vessel traffic management in the coastal areas and used for VTS. This research proposes a simple algorithm of recognizing potentially risky ships by observing their trajectories on the fairway. The static and dynamic information of AIS data are collected and the curvature for the ship trajectory is surveyed. The proposed algorithm finds out the irregularity of ship movement. The algorithm effectively monitors the change of navigation pattern from the curvature analysis of ship trajectory. Our method improves VTS functions in an intelligent way by analyzing the navigation pattern of vessels underway.

The Optical Art is based on the principle of visual perception of the illusionary effects which induce psychological responses. It has influenced greatly on the Texile Design in that unique iJlusionary creativity of pattern simulates the visual sense of special movement; the dynamic psylosophy of vitalism. The Optical pattern has become a highly valued item due to its innovative effect in aesthetic direction. According to Vitor Vasarely the pioneer in this area, the integration and the inseparability of form and color which he calls 'Plastic Unity' provides the basis for the composition of infinite variety. The composition of infinite variety. The composition reveals the complex interaction between the space and form relating to order, repetition, combination and permutation. It is not simple to create optical patterns due to the extreme complexity composed by the multi-dimension and the infusion of form and color giving immensely varied movement. The purposes of this study are as follows; 1) to classify the complex processes of optical pattern on the basis of formative method. 2) to develop creative ideas for progressive contemporary textile design In this study, the analysis of applied methods is concentrated, which is based 1) on the gradual modification and on the transformation of the basic plastic elements which depend on thle direction of visual points involVing contradictory perspectives 2) on the composition varied special situations by repeating, overlapping and converging a series of idetUical units or by means of irrdiation, radiation and etc.
