The most important things in the KSLV-I Kick Motor nozzle is a development of flexible seal that is utilized to drive a movable nozzle. Especially, a manufacturing technology of flexible seal is one of the key element in the Kick Motor nozzle development. The method used to produce flexible seal in the Kick Motor is injection method. Mold design technology, rubber injection technic and molding process through flexible seal manufacture has been established. After manufacturing, X-Ray inspection have been carried out to confirm a adhesive and internal array of flexible seal.

This paper describes the design, simulation, development, and experiment of a six degree-of-freedom micropositioning parallel manipulator. A movable stage was supported with six links, each of which extends with a dc-servo micropositioning actuator. In case of parallel manipulator, while the solution of the inverse kinematics is easily found by the vectors of the links which are composed of the joint coordinates in base and platform, but forward kinematic is not easily solved because of the nonlinearity and complexity of the parallel manipulator's kinematic output equation with the multi-solutions. The movable range of the prototype was ${\pm}25mm$ in the x- and y-directions and ${\pm}12.5mm$ in the z-direction. The minimum incremental motion of the prototype was $1{\mu}m$ in the x- and y-directions and $0.5{\mu}m$ in the z-direction. The repeatability of the prototype was ${\pm}2{\mu}m$ in the x- and y-directions and ${\pm}1{\mu}m$ in the z-direction. The motion performance was also evaluated by not only the computer simulation of CAD model but also the experiment using a capacitive sensor system.

In this paper, new micromachined tunble bandpass filters for multi-band millimeter-wave telecommunication systems are proposed. Two types of mm-wave tunable filters are fabricated using micromachning technology and the responses of the filters are measured. One is two-pole lumped elements filter and the other two-pole resonators filter. Frequency tunability of the filter is achieved by changing the gap between a common CPW ground plate and the movable cantilever beam connected to the transmission line with the controllable renge of 2.5${\mu}m$. The deflection of cantilever beam is measured with the applied DC voltage. With the applied bias voltage from 0 to 50 V, the fabricated filters show 0.6 GHz(2.3%) at 26.6 GHz, and 0.8 GHz(2.5%) at 32 GHz center frequency shift for the lumped elements and resonators filter, respectively. The life time of the fabricated gold cantilever structure are tested.

Though the recent years, large scale structures have been built on offshore for utilization of coastal ocean space as offshore airport and marine terminals. Sometimes, those big scale structures, however, happened to act as significant barriers against waves and severe beach erosion would take place on the coast. The present study deals nearshore topography changes affected by construction of an offshore structure with different distance from the shore. The series of three dimensional movable bed experiments have been examined in detail. Moreover, in order to make clear the relation of nearshore currents and local erosions behind offshore structure, the nearshore currents are calculated by Boussinesq equation model and compared with the same scale condition of the physical model experiments.

High swell has been known for the one of the main causes of beach erosion in the east coast of Korea. In this study, coastal topography changes due to high swells are simulated to find its effect on the backshore by using movable bed experiments and numerical experiments. Sea bottom topographical changes due to various incident waves were investigated using CSHORE model in the numerical experiments. Furthermore, the mechanism and the phenomena of beach erosion due to waves and high swells on the foreshore and backshore were analyzed and compared with movable bed hydraulic experiments.

This study evaluated the wear comfort properties of water-vapor-permeable (WVP) garments using a movable sweating thermal manikin. Manikin tests were performed in a climatic chamber (temperature T=20, $35{\pm}0.5^{\circ}C$ and relative humidity $H=50{\pm}10%$) using seven sportswear outfits (a long sleeve shirts and a long pants) made with seven different WVP fabrics. Physiological responses of wear trials could be correlated with measurement parameters of the thermal manikin experiment; subsequently, a regression model that represented a final comfort sensation could be obtained. The regression model developed in this work is based on thermal manikin measurements; consequently, it provides an independent comfort sensation level in a relatively short time at a low cost while maintaining the reproducibility of results. It translates into more actual choices for sportswear manufacturers and sportswear consumers.

This study determined the optimal positions of the movable steering wheel and pedal systems of industrial vehicle by various body dimensions. The position of objects and starting driving posture were measured by Martin-type anthropometer and goniometer. The X, Y and Z axis of movable steering wheel and pedal systems were measured horizon distance from right side to left side, horizon distance from front side to rear side and vertical distance from floor to ceiling. During the experiment in order to exclude learning effectiveness with forklift driving, 27 subjects who had male not experiences in driving a forklift used in the experiment. The relationship between the position of steering wheel and driver's posture with body dimensions was analyzed by using correlation relation and paired comparison t-test based on the measured data. The pedal location in X and Z axises was not related with various body dimensions. Also, the steering wheel was different among the angles of the right elbow and shoulder depending on the various body dimensions.

In recent practices, a half circular prismatic bar protruding beyond the concave surface of the horn facing the gap has been formed along the centerplane of a rudder to lessen the gap flow between the horn and the movable portion of the rudder system. If a flow through the gap of a rudder is reduced considerably through this approach, previous numerical studies indicate that not only the gap flow but also the rudder cavitation can be noticeably diminished. In the present study, numerical simulations on two-dimensional rudder sections were performed to show that the blocking ability of the single centre bar can be improved by the proper choice of sectional shape. Moreover, a pair of blocking bars attached symmetric to the centerplane on the opposite convex surface of the movable portion is suggested in the study as well, to circumvent the difficulties arising from the practical application of the single centre bars. The bars are placed near the outer edges of the gap easily accessible at the maximum rudder angle to allow simple installation of the device during a maintenance period of a ship. It is found that the pair of blocking bars further improves the blocking effects and application to a practical three-dimensional rudder also backs up the fact.
We developed an improved 3-PM liquid scintillation counting (3-PM LSC) method in which three detectors can be displaced to back and forth directions, and a data acquisition system being able to provide the values for all parameters required for the method. The detectors are entirely located in a 20-mm lead chamber of an inner diameter of 500 mm. A saw-toothed gear ties up all detectors so as to move them uniformly, up to 50 mm with unit of 1 mm. The data acquisition system was designed in an integrated circuit to perform the necessary works such as fast amplification, discrimination, coincidence and logic analysis. It generates values of nine parameters among twelve's generated in the 3-PH LSC method. The dead time of each counting channel is of extending type, valving from 10 to 100 $mutextrm{s}$. We measured the TDCR values with an unquenched liquid scintillation source 1"C by displacing the detectors with a step of 2.5 mm away from counting vial. Their values were derived on the range from 0.9 to 0.6. The extent is three times wider than those regions observed by applying the defocalization technique.ique.

Most of the variable shading devices are installed outdoors, so they are greatly affected by structural safety due to external climate change, wind, rain, and snow. Especially, due to strong wind such as typhoons, safety problems may occur due to the dropout of the device. Therefore, it is necessary to secure the structural safety against the wind. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the structural behavior of the windshield to evaluate the structural safety of the variable sunshade device. In this study, we analyze the wind pressure applied to the shading material according to the change of the length of the variable shading device, and apply it to the calculation of the wind load for the structural design of the variable shading device. The CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) analysis of the structure of the sample was used to analyze wind pressure magnitude and distribution. In order to estimate the wind pressure, the maximum wind loads of the static and negative pressures acting on the structure were analyzed from numerical simulation results.
