Microprocessor의 출현은 전자계산기 구조에 일대혁명을 일으볐으며 최근 몇년간 microcomputer가 세게적인 화제의 초점을 이루고 있고 그 응용은 극히 강력한 기대와 관심을 불러 일으키고 있다. Microcomputer의 가장 큰 특징은 micrs computer 자체가 한 system의 component로 사용될 수 있다는 점이며 application software의 개발여하에 따라 무한한 가능성을 약속해 주고 있다. 본 논문에서는 M6800 application software를 개발하기 위하여 M6800 crossassembler를 작성하였다. M6800은 Motorola에서 개발한 micrs computer로 전세계적으로 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 것 중의 하나이다. 본 논문의 2장의 첫 부분에서는 M6800 assembly language가 소개되고 두번째 부분에서는 cross-assembler의 기본적인 특성이 기술되고 있다.

This paper presents a fault-tolerant duplex architecture to build a high-reliability microcontroller using commercial VLSI processors. The architecture supports fail-silence under all single-failure situations and facilitates recovery from transient failures. The paper implements the duplex architecture using two Motorola MC68360 processors and evaluates its fault tolerance in a real application environment.

This thesis aims at developing of a digita governor system for the steam turbine generator on the Buk-Cheju Thermal Power Plant of KEPCO. The steam turbine generator of the Buk-Cheju Thermal Power Plant is modelled. As a hardware platform, a triple modular system which is fitted 32-bit microprocessor of Motorola company to perform the digital governor system is used. The parameters of the PID controller algorithm in the speed control block is tuned on the basis of the estimated model.

We propose a real time kernel chimera implemented under AT&T UNIX motorola versoin, Carnegie Mellon Univ. in U.S first developed chimera using SUN Worstation with Berkley UNIX based on VMEbus. The major differences between Canegie Mellon's and ours are downloading program and communication method between host and target. Original chimera used device driver but we used UNIX system call corresponding to shared memory when user downloads program and communicates. We modified kernel itself because the two different UNIX have different link editor.

This paper presents contactless power transfer system for an electric railway system which makes use of electromagnetic induction among the coils. A full bridge type series resonant inverter is used as a power conversion system. and MC14046 PLL of Motorola is used as a control device. Finally, presented system is verified by simulation.

In this study LLC and MAC program, which is the base of the communication software, is implemented. This program is tested in the MAP board for IBM PC. The LLC is of class 3, which provides the services of type 1 and 3. The MAC uses the Token Passing Bus Access Method of IEEE 802.4 standard. The LLC is implemented in C language, and MAC in C language and 80186 assembly language. MAC program takes advantage of MC 68824 which is the token bus controller produced by Motorola.

Due to the rapidly growing complexity of VLSI circuits, test methodologies based on delay testing become popular. However, most approaches cannot handle custom logic blocks which are described by logic functions rather than by circuit primitive elements. To overcome this problem, a new path delay test generation algorithm is developed for custom designs. The results using benchmark circuits and real designs prove the efficiency of the new algorithm. The new test generation algorithm can be applied to designs employing intellectual property (IP) circuits whose implementation details are either unknown or unavailable.

The concept of six sigma was introduced at and popularized by Motorola in its quest to reduce defects of manufactured electronics products. When used as a metric, six sigma technically means having no more than 3.4 defects per million opportunities in any process, product, or service. More important than the technical definition is the concept of six sigma as a disciplined, quantitative approach for improvement of defined metrics in manufacturing, service, or financial processes. This approach derives the overall process of selecting the right projects based on their potential to improve performance metrics and selecting and training the right people to get the business results.

The methodology of six sigma originated at Motorola in the early 1980s is now days proved to be an effective way in improving the quality. Many companies are paying their attentions to 6 sigma quality technique, proved to be successful by many examples of advanced firms. However most companies where Six sigma is implemented confront many difficulties in service industry. In paper we research successful Six Sigma in the service industry.
