In this paper, the characteristics of single-phase line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor driven by constant voltage are analyzed on d-q axis vector diagram and compared with that of current controlled motor. The coupled method of symmetrical coordinates and d-q axis voltage equation are applied to the analysis method like the analysis of single-phase induction motor. From the result of the analysis, it is seen that motors driven by constant voltage source have effects on not only the amplitude of current and torque but also current and current phase angle, so overall characteristics such as power factor and load angle are affected by circuit parameters. For precise analysis and design of single-phase line-start synchronous motor, its characteristics should be analyzed on d-q axis vector plan in consideration of the variation of circuit parameters.

Induction motor is the most widely used to obtain the driving force in the industrial site. Induction motor generates a high current at startup. Most of starting currents are often more than five times of rated current. This high starting current can cause problems such as the voltage drop in the system. In order to solve these problems, if the motor capacity is large, generally we use reactor starting method rather than direct on line starting method. When a high startup current passes through reactor, reactor can serve as a nonlinear elements. In this study, we analyzed that the current, torque and power of the induction motor are different from the change of linear and nonlinear components of the reactor magnetic field.

This paper presents an electric scooter development using blushless DC motor. In recent scooters was to develop for sport leisure and short transportation. Most of scooter are used petroleum gas. This gas scooter has disadvantage to pollute the air. Some of scooters have developed by DC motor which require a brush. However brushless motors have higher maximum speed and greater capacity, save maintenance labour and produce less noise. There is also greater freedom in planing the usage of brushless motors. In this paper we develop an electric scooter driving BLDC motor for design smart system and control speed of scooter with current reference signal to apply voltage to motor by means of three phase inverter. Using accelerator device we generate current reference to control speed and send the current to a MICOM by A/D converter. This MICOM produces the voltage signal and hall sensors signal and PWM controller drive three phase inverter to minimize error between the reference and an actual current.

This paper presents a numerical optimization technique to reduce input current and torque ripple of the low voltage BLDC motor using core, coil and switching angle optimization. The optimization technique is employed using the generalized response surface method(RSM) and sampling minimization technique with FEM. A 50W 24V BLDC motor is used to verify the proposed algorithm. As optimizing results, the input current is reduced from 2.46 to 2.11[A], and the input power is reduced from 59 [W] to 51 [W] at the speed of 1000 [rpm]. Also, applied the same optimization algorithm, the torque ripple is reduced about 7.4 %. It is confirmed that the proposed technique is a reasonably useful tool to reduce the consuming current and torque ripple of the low voltage BLDC motor for a compact and efficient design.
This paper presents a new method on controller design of brushless dc motors. In such drives the current ripples are generated by motor inductance in stator windings and the back EMF. To suppress the current ripples the current controller is generally used. To minimize the size and the cost of the drives it is desirable to control motors without the current controller and the current sensing circuits. To estimate the motor current it is modeled by a neural network that is configured as an output-error dynamic system. The identified model is essentially a one step ahead prediction structure in which fast inputs and outputs are used to calculate the current output. Using the model, effective estimator to compensate the effects of disturbance has been designed. The effectiveness of the proposed current estimator is verified through experiments.
In this paper, we present a full digital control scheme which controls currents and speed of the permanent magnet AC servo motor with large range of bandwidth and high performance. The current equations of the permanent magnet AC servo motor are linearized by feedback linearization technique. Both acceleration feedforward terms and IP controllers, whose gains are functions of motor speed, are used in order to control motor currents. In addition the phase delays in current control loops are compensated by placing phase lead-lag compensators after current commands, which make it possible to avoid high gains in the current controllers. Unity power factor can be achieved by the proposed current controller. Pulsewidth modulation is performed by way of the well-known comparison with a triangular carrier signals. The velocity controller is designed on the basis of the linearized model of the permanent magnet AC servo motor by the proposed current controller. The performance of the entire control system is analyzed in the presence of uncertainty in the motor parameters. The proposed control scheme is implemented using the digital signal processor-based controller composed of an Analog Device ADSP 2111 and a NEC78310. The pulsewidth modulation (PWM) signals are generated through a custom IC, SAMSUNG-PWM1, which has the outputs of current controllers as input. The experimental results show that the permanent magnet AC servo motor can be always driven with high dynamic performance by the proposed full digital control scheme of motor speed and motor current.

Recently, according to the development of semiconductor industry, needed to high-integration and high-functionality. These changes are required for silicon wafer of large scale diameter and precision of TTV (Total Thickness variation). So, in this research, suggest that the method of monitoring system is using motor current. This method is needed for observation of silicon wafer grinding process. Motor current sensor is consisted of hall sensor. Hall sensor is known to catching of change of current. Received original signal is converted to the diginal, then, it is calculated RMS values, and then, it is analysed in computer. Generally, the change of force is relative to the change of current, So this reason, in this research tried to monitoring of motor current change, and then, it will be applied to analysis for silicon wafer grinding process. using motor current sensor.
This study describes a system that monitors the tool and cutting state of automatic beveling operation in real time. As a signal for cutting state monitoring, a motor current detected from the spindle drive system of the automatic beveling machine is used to monitor abnormal state. Because automatic beveling is processed using a face milling cutter, the cutting force mechanism is the same as the milling process. The predicted cutting torque is obtained using a cutting force model based on specific cutting resistance. Then, the predicted cutting torque is converted into the spindle motor current value, and cutting state stability is diagnosed by comparing it with the motor current value detected during beveling operation. The experimental results show that the spindle motor current can detect abnormal cutting state such as overload and tool wear during beveling operation, and can diagnose the cutting stability using the proposed equip-current line diagram.

This paper is described BLDC motor in the submarine propulsion system which is asked high power per unit area. This study analyzes the independent 6-phase BLDC motor a specific extended by existing the independent 3-phase BLDC motor and propose forward development direction. Independent 6-phase motor has a characteristics that phases of stator are independent electrically with each other and two's independence 3-phase BLDC motor are linked with each difference of 60 degree. Six-phase BLDC motor is simulated with Matlab-simulink, the simulation result has a high current and low torque pulsation than existent independence 3-phase BLDC motor.
The influence of magnetic saturation on electromagnetic field distribution in both a permanent-magnet direct-current (PMDC) motor and a field-winding (wound-field) direct-current (FWDC) motor, with the same output mechanical power, has been studied. In this paper, an approximate analytical method and time-stepping Finite Element Method (FEM) are used for prediction of Back-EMF and electromagnetic torque. No-load and rotor-lucked conditions, according to experimental measurements, and the FEM and analytical method studies of the motors have been considered. A sensitivity analysis has also been successfully accomplished on the major design parameters that affect motor performance. At last, these two DC motors are compared, in spite of their differences, on the basis of measured output characteristics.
