  • This paper deals with the position control of an AC servo motor using linear hall-effect sensors. The price of these is very low, but it is possible to make position control of motor similar to a control using an encoder. This paper introduces the design of motor using linear hall-effect sensors and shows the results of control.

  • This paper predicts the material properties of spatially reinforced composites (SRC) and analyzes the thermo-elastic behavior of a kick motor nozzle manufactured from that material. To find the appropriate SRC structure for the nozzle throat that satisfies given design conditions, the equivalent material properties of the SRC are predicted using the superposition method for those of rod and matrix. Studied are the elastic behavior, temperature distribution, and thermo-elastic behavior of a kick motor nozzle composed of carbon/carbon SRC as a throat part. The elastic deformation of the nozzle composed of 3D carbon/carbon SRC shows asymmetry in a circumferential direction. However, 4D carbon/carbon SRC nozzle shows uniform deformation in the circumferential direction. Stress concentration in connecting parts of the kick motor nozzle is ultimately high due to the high temperature gradient in each connecting part. The thermo-elastic deformations of both the 3D and the 4D SRC nozzles are uniform in the circumferential direction due to the isotropy of CTE of each SRC. The deformation of the 3D SRC nozzle is a slightly smaller than that of the 4D SRC nozzle in the nozzle throat, which is favorably effective on rocket thrust. The circumferential stress is the most critical component of the kick motor nozzle. The 4D SRC nozzle having 1,1,1,1.7 diameters in each direction has the smallest circumferential stress among several SRC nozzles.

  • A study on control of BLDC Is studying In progress, because of radical increase of survo motor at industrial machine and home machine. Nowaday, we study on control of BLDC, because of radical increase of survo motor at Industry and home. Although control ratio and output of the unit volume are good than the others , BLDC motor demands high cost. Therefor, the study on low cost BLDC have square wave back-emf is studing in progress. Therefor, BLDC Motor was studied to reduce high cost that have square wave back-emf at recently. This paper shows that BLDC Motor, developed highly responsility by using Genetic Algorithm(GA) that the advantages of learning ability, Also, this paper shows experiment and simulation at 200W BLDC that have squarewave back-emf by using Genetic Algorithm. At the result of this methods, the study prove experiment's right.

  • In order to develop the hydrostatic guideways driven by a core less linear motor for ultra precision machine tools, a prototype of guideway is designed and tested. A coreless linear DC motor with a continuous force of 156 N and a laser scale with a resolution of 0.01 ㎛ are used in the system. Experimental analysis on the static stiffness, motion errors, positioning error and its repeatability, micro step response and velocity variation of the guideway are performed. The guideway shows infinite stiffness within 50 N applied load in the feed direction, and by the motion error compensation method using the Active Controlled Capillary, 0.08 ㎛ linear motion error and 0.1 arcsec angular motion error are acquired. The guideway also reveals 0.21 ㎛ positioning error and 0.09 ㎛ repeatability, and it shows stable responses following a 0.01 ㎛ resolution step command. The velocity variation of feeding system is less than 0.6 %. From these results, it is estimated that the hydrostatic guideway driven by a coreless linear motor is very useful for the ultra precision machine tools.

  • The heat and vibration effect is known to cause a serious deformation in linear motor system. The paper presents a heat and vibration characteristics that compare a advanced linear motor with developed linear motor through experiment and analyses. The heat in linear motor system is identified for experimental data and analytic data using the Finite Volume Method (FVM). Also, it shows that the optimum standard analyzed the acceleration patterns of the moving part cause the vibration source in linear motor. It presents the analyzed dynamics of linear motor in compliance with a deformation of the non-linear factor.

  • The feasibility of hybrid motor as a first stage of the air launch vehicle is investigated, and the result shows the hybrid motor can replace the solid motor. Optimal design study has been performed for the hybrid motor as a first stage of nanosat air launch vehicle. The first stage hybrid motor of the nanosat air launch vehicle, which uses the F-4E Phantom as a mother plane is designed for given mission requirements. Selected design variables are the number of ports, the initial oxidizer flux, the combustion chamber pressure, and the nozzle expansion ratio. The design results show that a hybrid motor can be successfully applicable to very small air launch vehicles which have severe physical constraints of length and diameter imposed by the mother plane.

  • Motor aphasia is an affection frequently caused by insult of the left middle cerebral artery and usually accompanied by a large lesion involving the Broca's area and the adjacent motor and premotor areas. Therefore, a patient with motor aphasia commonly shows articulatory disturbances due to failure of the motor programing of speech sound. Objective assessment and treatment of phonologic programing is one of the important aspects of speech therapy in aphasic patients. We analyzed the speech disorders acompanied with motor aphasia in a 45-year-old man using a computerized sound spectrograph, Visi-$Pitch{\circledR}$, and Multi-Dimensional Voice $Program{\circledR}$. We concluded that a computerized speech analysis system is a useful tool to visualize and quantitatively analyse the severity and progression of dysarthria, and the effect of speech therapy.

  • This paper presents design of induction motor in very low temperature for LNG main cargo pump and comparison of two motors. One is the motor for using in room temperature and another is the motor for using very low temperature. This paper designs with Equivalent circuit Method and uses Finite Element Method to analysis. The motor for very low temperature considers variation of coil resistivity due to temperature change and compare torque characteristic with the motor for room temperature. Design element of motor for very low temperature considers resistivity variation following temperature change on going through this paper. The result shows that two types of motors are almost same torque curve characteristic even though they are not the same environment.

  • To monitor the torque of an induction motor using current, rotating speed has been measured and used to calculate the slip angular velocity. Additional sensor, however, can cause extra expense and trouble. In this paper, a new algorithm is proposed to monitor the torque of vector controlled induction motor without any speed measuring sensor. Only stator current is measured to estimate the magnetizing current which is used to calculate flux linkage, rotor velocity and motor torque. Graphical programming is used to implement the suggested algorithm and to monitor the torque of an induction motor in real time. To solve the fluctuation problem of estimated torque caused from instantly varying rotating speed of an induction motor, the rotating speed is reconstructed based on the measured current signals. From several experiments, the proposed method shows a good estimation of the motor torque under the normal rotational speed.
