Many failures in high voltage equipment are preceded by partial discharge activity. In this paper deals with the application of the high frequency partial discharge measurement technique in motorette. HFPD measurement is very effective method to detect the PD occurred in motorette which is the called name of test specimen for accelerating test of stator winding[1] In this study, CT type HFPD sensor is used to detect the partial discharges and a measured HFPD pattern is analyzed by fractal mathematics. The neural network algorithm is used to pattern recognition and ageing diagnosis. As a result of this study, the fractal dimensions are increased along to applied voltage and HFPD pattern recognition using neural network shown excellent recognition rate. Also, the ageing diagnosis of motorette has been Possible.
As the digital environment gets ubiquitous, domestic and international research and development on smart clothing is being conducted actively these days. However, most research is being carried out with its center on upper garment. So research on lower garment is insufficient even though it affects wearer's activity and comfort to a great extent when digital devices are attached or wearers moves their body. Therefore, the type of clothes this research proposes is men's formal pants which have an electrically-vibrating wearable device. These are smart pants which are helpful in easing muscle pain with their massaging effect in daily life. For this purpose, this research intends to develop patterns considering the body shapes and movements of wearers and suggest a tentative structure plan for smart pants where a vibration device is attached, which is mainly composed of vibrating motor, controller, and switch, and considered their bulks, numbers, attaching places.
The effects of Sanjoinine-A, an alkaloid isolated from Zizyphus spinosus semens, on central nervous system and general pharmacology were studied. In summary, Sanjoinine-A depress the spontaneous locomotor activity without motor incoordination and it has slight analgesic effect. Those effects are qualitatively similar to that of diazepam but its potency is much lower than diazepam(20 times). Sanjoinine-A does not depress the electric or pentylenetetrazole induced convulsion. Those effects are dissimilar with that of diazepam. Sanjoinine-A slightly depress the spontaneous or acethylchollne induced motility of smooth muscles but degree of depressant effect was variable to tissues. Sanjoinine-A does not show any effects on digestive system, blood, kidney fuction and neural ganglion.
Nanomotors are gaining popularity as novel drug delivery methods since they can move rapidly, penetrate deeply into tissues, and be regulated. The ability of manufactured nanomotors to swiftly transport therapeutic payloads to their intended location constitutes a revolutionary nanomedicine strategy. The nanomotors for the drug delivery purpose are released in the blood flow under the different physical conditions, so the stability investigation of these devices is essential before the production, especially in the sport and physical exercise conditions that the blood flow enhances. As a result, using dynamic analysis, this article investigates the stability of the nanomotor released in the blood flow when sport and physical activity circumstances increase blood flow. The considered nanodevice is made of a central motor, and nanotubes are used for the nanomotor blade, which is the drug capsule. Finally, the stability examination of nanomotor as the drug delivery equipment is discussed in detail, and the proposed results can present beneficial results in designing and producing small-scale intelligent devices.

Measurable electrophysiological changes in the scalp are frequently linked to brain activities. These progressions are called related evoked potentials (ERP), which are transient electrical responses recorded by electroencephalography (EEG) in light of tactile, mental, or motor enhancements. This painless strategy is gradually being used as a conclusion and clinical help. In this article, we will talk about the main ways to monitor brain activities in people with neurological diseases like Alzheimer's disease by analyzing EEG signals using ERP. We will also talk about how this method helps to detect the disease at an early stage.
Appressorial formation of Pyricularia oryzae on leaves showed no marked difference between highly resistant Tongil and susceptible Norm No. 6. Race N-2 of the blast fungus penetrated directly into motor cells of susceptible cultivar Norm No. 6, later extensively spreading hyphae were developed, while in the cultivar Tongil, after penetration, no further hyphal extension resulted. In discoloration of infected tissues, the highly resistant cultivar Tongil not only discolored rapidly, but also the percentage of discolored cells was higher than the susceptible cultivars, Jinheung and Norm No. 6. The respiratory rate, was generally higher in infected tissue than in healthy tissue. No significant difference in the respiration rate of resistant Suwon No. 180 was not found between the infected and healthy leaf tissue, whereas, in susceptible Jinheung, a marked increase in respiratory rate was caused by blast infection. The respiratory rate increased at the appearance of the first visible symptom in all cultivars resistant or susceptible. Higher peroxidase activity was found in infected tissues as compared with healthy tissue. Peroxidase activity increased in resistant and susceptible reactions. Particularly, in resistant reaction, the increase of the activity was more pronounced. In highly resistant reaction, there was no difference in peroxidase activity between healthy and infected tissues. Ascorbic acid oxidase, hydroquinone oxidase and catechol oxidase had the same trend as the peroxidase. In contrast, activity of catalase rather decreased in leaf tissues infected with compatible races of the fungus.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify sexual activities of males with spinal cord injury (SCI) and influential factors of sexual adjustment. Methods: A correlational survey was conducted among a total of 135 males with SCI. Results: After SCI, patients maintained low levels of sexual adjustment, and a main obstacle of sexual rehabilitation was decreased erectile function (65.2%). Sexual desires recovered in 84.4%, with 62.4% patients reporting more than once intercourse experiences. The erectile function of participants with normal, decreased or no erectile function were 13.0%, 62.6% and 24.4%, respectively. 8.1% of the participants reported no problem with ejaculation. Patients with incomplete SCI had better preserved erectile function than those with complete SCI (t=-4.627, p<.001). Patients with upper motor neuron injury had better preserved erectile function than those with lower motor neuron injury (t=2.446, p =.016). Sexual adjustment was relevant to age, job, degree of injury, post-injury period, sexual desire, intercourse experience, erection therapy, erectile function, and sexual health. Sexual adjustment was a factor of sexual health with a power of 24.2%. Conclusion: The main obstacle of sexual rehabilitation for males with SCI decreased erectile function. Erection and ejaculation are dependent on the severity and level of SCI. The major influence on sexual adjustment is sexual health.
The objective of this study was to compare the differences on the activity and power of the wrist flexors and extensors in subjects before the use of a wrist extension splint, after nighttime wearing of the splint, and after daytime wearing of the splint. Ten healthy male and ten healthy female students (mean: $22.4{\pm}1.2$ years old) volunteered to wear custom-made wrist splints either during the night or during the day, The hand force of the wrist flexor and extensor, and grip force were measured by PowerTrack II and Dynatron, respectively. At the same time, the activities of the wrist flexor and extensor were recorded by' surface electromyography. The maximal hand force and motor unit recruitment of the flexor carpi ulnatis (FCU) increased significantly (p<.05) when tile subjects wore the wrist splints during the daytime, but the maximal hand power of the FCU decreased with nighttime use of the splints. The maximal hand power and motor unit recruitment of the extensor carpi radialis (ECR) and the ECR/FCU ratio decreased both during nighttime and daytime use. The decrement of the ECR/FCU ratio was significant (p<.05). Wearing a wrist extension splint during nighttime led to the maintenance of a lengthened position of the wrist flexor, resulting in the wrist flexor becoming weak. Wearing a wrist extension splint during the day induced the wrist flexors to be greater. In healthy people, the imbalance between the wrist flexors and extensors may be caused by the use of a wrist extension splint. This study indicates that therapists have to consider whether a splint will be effective, as well as the wearing time, when prescribing splints to people with problems of the musculoskeletal system.
Objective : The aim of this study was to investigate voluntary wheel running behavior in the unilateral 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) rat model. Methods : Male Sprague-Dawley rats were assigned to 2 groups : 6-OHDA group (n=17) and control group (n=8). The unilateral 6-OHDA rat model was induced by injection of 6-OHDA into unilateral medial forebrain bundle using a stereotaxic instrument. Voluntary wheel running activity was assessed per day in successfully lesioned rats (n=10) and control rats. Each behavioral test lasted an hour. The following parameters were investigated during behavioral tests : the number of running bouts, the distance moved in the wheel, average peak speed in running bouts and average duration from the running start to the peak speed. Results : The number of running bouts and the distance moved in the wheel were significantly decreased in successfully lesioned rats compared with control rats. In addition, average peak speed in running bouts was decreased, and average duration from the running start to the peak speed was increased in lesioned animals, which might indicate motor deficits in these rats. These behavioral changes were still observed 42 days after lesion. Conclusion : Voluntary wheel running behavior is impaired in the unilateral 6-OHDA rat model and may represent a useful tool to quantify motor deficits in this model.
Purpose: Minimal change esophagitis (MCE) is a reflux disease without mucosal breaks, known to be partially associated with abnormal gastric motor function. Electrogastrography (EGG) is commonly applied to assess gastric motor function in a noninvasive fashion. We aimed to determine the relationship between MCE and gastric myoelectrical activity (GME) recorded on EGG in children. Methods: We retrospectively assessed the records of 157 children without underlying disease who underwent both EGG and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy at Gachon University Gil Medical Center between January 2010 and June 2015. The children were stratified according to the appearance of the esophagus (normal vs. MCE). Between-group differences in EGG parameters and their correlation with each MCE finding were statistically analyzed. Results: Only the power ratio, one of the EGG parameters analyzed, differed significantly between the two groups (MCE, $1.68{\pm}3.37$ vs. normal, $0.76{\pm}1.06$; p<0.05), whereas the other parameters, such as dominant frequency, dominant power, and the ratio of abnormal rhythm, showed no differences. Among children with MCE, significant correlations were noted between erythema and power ratio (p<0.05), friability and postprandial dominant frequency (p<0.05), and edema and/or accentuation of mucosal folds and pre-prandial frequency (p<0.05). Helicobacter pylori infection correlated with postprandial arrhythmia (MCE, $33.59{\pm}15.52$ vs. normal, $28.10{\pm}17.23$; p<0.05). EGG parameters did not differ between children with normal esophagus and those with biopsy-proven chronic esophagitis. Conclusion: In children with MCE, gastric dysmotility may affect the development of MCE, manifesting as EGG abnormalities. H. pylori infection may also affect GME. However, larger prospective investigations are needed to confirm these findings.
