외륜 고정형 에피 사이클로이드 감속기의 작용력 해석법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Contact Force Analysis of Fixed Outer-Ring Type Epicycloid Plate Gear for Cycloidal Speed Reducer with Friction Effect)

  • All teeth on the cycloidal plate gear exist in the contact motion with rollers and the forces are interacted between roller gears with cycloidal plate gears. So, the contact forces and friction forces must be required to improve the accuracy in design procedures of cycloidal speed reducers. This paper presents a force analysis considered the friction effect approach derived by static force equilibrium condition, geometrical adaptation, instant velocity center method and relative velocity method. Finally, the paper develops CAD-program for the construction of the design automation using the proposed method.

  • This paper proposes a compliance control strategy for the robot manipulators accidentally interact-ing with an unknown environment. In this proposed method each in the diagonal stiffness matrix corre-sponding to the task coordinate in a Cartesian space is adaptively adjusted during contact along the corresponding axis based on the contact force with its environment. This method can be used for both unconstrained and constrained motions without any switching mechanism which often causes undesirable instability and/or vibrational motion of the end-effector. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method by employing a two link direct drive manipulator interacting with an unknown environment.

  • A cycloidal speed reducer is a type of the speed reducers of machinery. The cycloidal speed reducer consists of two cycloidal plate gears, housing roller gear, input shaft, output pin and shaft, and eccentric bearings. Especially the cycloidal plate gear has the peculiar parts of the teeth, because of gearing with the housing roller gear that has the several rollers on the circular line. And then all teeth on the cycloidal plate gear can be designed to contact with the rollers on the housing roller gear at the same time. Therefore the cycloidal plate gear has always contact motion with rollers and the force is interacted between roller gear with cycloidal plate gear. Because the contact force and friction force must be required to improve the accuracy in design procedures of cycloidal speed reducers, this paper presents a force analysis considered friction effect approach derived by static force equilibrium condition, geometrical adaptation, instant velocity center method and relative velocity method.

틸팅을 이용한 4족 보행 로봇의 정적 보행 알고리즘 (Static Walking Algorithm for a Quadruped Robot using Tilting)

  • This paper presents walking algorithm for a quadruped robot that does not have an upper body. Tilting motion is added to the planned walking trajectory instead of using an extra body segment that is independent on walking trajectory. Area and tracking algorithms are proposed as tilting method and compared with that of off-line tilting and that of no tilting. Computer simulation shows that stability of tilted walking is more improved than that of the usual walking algorithm for general walking paths. It also shows that the tracking method guarantees stability and best mobility.

  • The swimming abilities of aquatic-animals are of vital importance to their ecology. The relationship between outer shapes and the swimming ability has been focused just a few centuries ago by engineering community. Present paper surveys the recent studies of the aquatic-animals' swimming performance in the morphological point of view. Also an experimental study is performed in order to investigate the effect of the tail fin's shape on the propulsive performance. The result showed that the morphological study provided valuable data for exploring the secrets of the aquatic-animals' swimming performance.

  • This paper presents a new approach to the design of adaptive control system using DSPs(TMS320C50) for robotic manipulators to achieve trajectory tracking angles. Digital signal processors are used in implementing real time adaptive control algorithms to provide motion for robotic manipulators. In the proposed scheme, adaptation laws are derived from the improved second stability analysis based on the indirect adaptive control theory. The proposed control scheme is simple in structure, fast in computation, an suitable for implementation of real-time control. Moreover, this scheme does not require an accurate dynamic modeling, nor values of manipulator parameters and payload. Performance of the adaptive controller is illustrated by experimental results for a SCARA robot.

  • This paper describes a robust model-based roll state estimator for application to the detection of impending vehicle rollover. The roll state estimator is based on a 2-D bicycle model and a roll model to estimate the maneuver-induced vehicle roll motion. The measurement signals are lateral acceleration, yaw rate, steering angle, and vehicle speed. Vehicle mass is adapted to obtain robust performance of the estimator. Computer simulation is conducted to evaluate the proposed roll state estimator by using a validated vehicle simulator. It is shown that the roll state estimator shows robust performance without exact vehicle mass information.

  • The most important requirement for the controller of a prosthetic arm is that it has a high fidelity discriminator where the motion control may be performed open loop using EMG signals as a control source. Therefore, it is very effective method to reduce the influence of misclassification of classifier for the total system performance. This paper presents the new function discrimination method which combines MLP classifier and frizzy filter by stages for the requirement. The major advantage of MLP is a consistent learning capability for the easy adaptation to environments. The fuzzy filter uses all informations of MLP outputs and prior EMG activity informations which increase as the experience increases. That property is superior to one which uses maximum output of MLP in view of information amounts and quality. Simulation result shows that proposed method is superior to the probabilistic model, MLP model and the combined model of both in the respect of discrimination quaity.

  • Throughout CGL(Continuous Galvanizing Line) in steel works, zinc-coated steel sheets are produced which are used where long-running corrosion resistivity is required. During the galvanizing process, top dross is created and floated on the zinc pot. Because the dross leaves ill patterns on the coated sheets, it is removed manually with shovel-like tools in about twenty minutes. Because, however, the working environment is very noisy, hot and harmful to human workers, a robot system is developed and implemented on a real plant to automatically remove the top dross. It consists of a robot and its carriage system, a pot level sensor, a system controller, and special tools to collect, pick up, and put the top dross into a dross waste basket. A system software is developed to monitor the system status. A series of tests were performed to verify the robot motion and adaptation to working conditions, and proved successful work.

  • This paper presents a new approachtothe design of adaptive control system using DSPs(TMS320C30) for robotic manipulators to achieve trajectory tracking by the joint angles. Digital signal processors are used in implementing real time adaptive control algorithms to provide an enhanced motion control for robotic manipulators. In the proposed control scheme, adaptation laws are derived from the improved Lyapunov second stability analysis method based on the adaptive model reference control theory. The adaptive controller consists of an adaaptive feedforward controller, feedback controller, and PID type time-varying auxillary control elements. The prpposed adaptive control scheme is simple in structure, fast in computation, and suitable for implementation of real-time control. Moreover, this scheme does not require an accurate dynamic modeling, nor values of manipulator parameters and payload. Performance of the adaptive controller is illustrated by simulation and experimental results for a SCARA robot.
