선박의 대형화, 고속화 및 선종의 다양화는 운송수단 중 해양 운송수단의 비중을 크게 증가시켰으나, 동시에 선박사고의 발생도 같이 증가되었다. 여객선의 경우 인명의 피해가 크게 발생하기 때문에 선박사고를 예방하기 위한 방법들이 논의되어 지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 여객선의 횡경사 각도를 바탕으로 전복의 위험까지 가게 되는 시간을 예측하여 위험시간에 도달하기 전에 인명을 대피할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 특정 시나리오를 설정하여, MOSES를 이용한 시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며 선형방정식을 이용하여 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하였다.

지금까지 많은 항균성 펩타이드가 포유류 (1), 양서류 (2), 곤충 (3) 및 식물 (4)로 부터 단리ㆍ정제되었고, 구조-활성간의 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있지만, 이러한 연구는 육상생물에 제한적으로 수행되어 겼으며 해양생물을 대상으로 한 연구는 극히 제한되어 있는 상태이다. 해양생물로부터 정제된 항균성 펩타이드로서는 Flounder skin 분비물에서 pleurocidin (5), Moses sole fish에서 pardaxins (6), Horseshoe crab에서 Tachyplesin I(7), Tunicates hemocytes에서 Clavanins (8), Mollusc에서 Mytilins (9) 등이 보고되고 있지만 불가사리를 이용한 항균성물질의 연구는 희박한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 오픈소스를 기반으로 하드웨어 개발을 위해 널리 사용되는 아두이노(Arduio)와 안드로이드 스마트폰으로 두더지 게임기를 설계하고 주요기능을 구현하였다. 스마트폰과 아두이노는 블루투스로 통신하며 데이터를 보내거나 제어하도록 하였으며, 게임 결과는 스마트폰에 출력되도록 하였다.

The main purpose of this essay is to suggest that Faulkner's "pro"-lynching letter published in Commercial-Appeal in 1931 does not contradict his antilynching works such as "Dry September," Light in August, Go Down, Moses, and Intruder in the Dust. In the letter, Faulkner writes, "they [lynching mobs] have a way of being right." The remark has been interpreted as the expression of Faulkner's sympathetic attitude toward lynching mobs; however, it can be also seen as Faulkner's observation and criticism of the southern white people's structures of feeling in his time that stubbornly justified lynching as a way to do justice to black people who did "not" deserve to be a legal subject. This essay argues that Faulkner understood that the legislation of anti-lynching law alone could not save black people from the violence of lynching as far as white people believed that black people were not their equals and that lynching was a right means to fulfill social justice. Faulkner's fictions such as Light in August and Go Down, Moses provide moments in which white male characters feel as if they were social others, and their experiences work as an ethical urge for them to stand up for social others. This essay illuminates how Faulkner depicts the process of white male characters' identity formation as a violent break from his strong tie with black friends, how they reverse the process to blur the border again through the experiences of becoming-other, and how the experience of becoming-other has a potentiality to play the role of an ethical agency in stopping the custom of lynching in the South.

This study performed a numerical simulation to predict the development of ship waves and their propagation in the shallow water region of Gunzang New Port and to examine the stability of taut line mooring at the sea wall using the design criteria. In order to predict the propagation of ship waves based on the speeds of various ships under complicated and shallow water depths, a computer model was constructed based on the Boussinesque equation with a fixed coordinate system. Additionally, an investigation if the stability was made by applying MOSES under the environmental loadings estimated by OCIMF.

Transforming growth factor-$\beta$ is a pleiotropic growth factor that has enthralled many investigators for approximately two decades. In addition to many reports that have clarified the basic mechanism of transforming growth factor-$\beta$ signal transduction, numerous laboratories have published on the clinical implication/application of transforming growth factor-$\beta$. To name a few, dysregulation of transforming growth factor-$\beta$ signaling plays a role in carcinogenesis, autoimmunity, angiogenesis, and wound healing. In this report, we will review these clinical implications of transforming growth factor-$\beta$.

The Tabernacle was Personally designed by God and was ordered from God to Moses to build it as the first Piece of church architecture that accurately showed God's love and will of salvation towards humankind. Tabernacles, through the architecture of tabernacles teaches the Lord being among us. His Holiness and man's sins, and also reflects the path of eternity as well as the good news and salvation through Jesus Christ. And the Tabernacle is talking of the Glory of New Jerusalem that is provided Kingdom of Heaven for us at the same time being a completion of a final and ultimate church constructed long predicted through the Bible being already designed by God. The external expression of modern architecture may follow the uniqueness of that age but the special quality of the interior and exterior symbolism of church architecture will have to consist the standards of God for He is the first, sincere designer.

본 연구는 1980년 Moses-Anas에 의해 제안된 $\ulcorner혼성로-짓모형\lrcorner$의 유효성을 서울 시의 출근통행실태 자료를 이용하여 검증하기 위한 것으로, $\ulcorner혼성로-짓모형\lrcorner$에 의한 추정 결과와 $\ulcorner전통적로-짓모형\lrcorner$에 의한 추정결과를 통계적 시점에서 상호 비교하였다. 이용된 자료는 1981년6월10일부터 6월16일까지 일주일간의 출근통행실태자료이며 조사표본수는 약 2000여 표본이었다. $\ulcorner혼성로-짓모형\lrcorner$에 의한 추정결과는 $\ulcorner전통적로-짓모형\lrcorner$ 에 의한 경 우보다 통계적으로 우월한 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 통행시간 및 통행비용에 대한 선택확률 의 탄력성은 $\ulcorner혼성모형\lrcorner$에 의해 추정된 결과가 더욱 합리적인 것으로 판명되었다.
