  • In this thesis, remote conveyor control and monitoring system is designed and Implemented for shoes production process based on Lego prototyping mechanism by using the I/O interface control board for the ISA Interface control board. A conveyor server for real time profess control is implemented based on RTLinux(Real-Time Linux) so that users deride priority of work. And device driver is implemented bated on the RTLinux. Through this system, real-time Client/server monitoring environments Is implemented and tested. And the JMF(Java Media Framework) based monitoring system was implemented and the total processing status war monitored.

  • This paper describes limitations and solutions of the existing processor-monitoring concept for a military supersonics aircraft Flight Control Computer (FLCC) equipped with modern architecture processor to perform the system integration test. Safecritical FLCC integration test, which requires automatic test for thousands of test cases and real-time input/output test condition generation, depends on the processor-monitoring device called Processor Interface (PI). The PI, which relies upon on the FLCC processor's external address and data-bus data, has some limitations due to multi-fetching capability of the modern sophisticated military processors, like C6000's VLIW (Very-Long Instruction Word) architecture and PowerPC's Superscalar architecture. Several techniques for limitations were developed and proper monitoring approach was presented for modem processor-adopted FLCC system integration test.

  • The exchange of information with legacy systems is a main issue in the era of SMARTGRID. Because WAMAC(Wide Area Monitoring and Control) system has monitoring function, as well as control function, it is very necessary for WAMAC to exchange data and information with SCADA(Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) / EMS(Energy Management System). IEC 61970 CIM(Common Information Model) is an abstract model that represents all the major objects in an electric utility enterprise typically involved in utility operations. In this paper, a proposal that adopting CIM to WAMAC model be submitted so that the integration of various legacy system and application for itself be able to be flexible.

  • There are many problems to be satisfied the various commercial demand in the present VRML node, and the VRML-based system by the contact with other technology is burdened with the direct participation of developer related with it. In this study, remote control and monitoring system using EAI(External Authoring Interface) is reposed to overcome the limit of VRML. In other words, This study is about mechanism of interaction between control and monitoring subject in real world and object in virtual world mapped with it. Object oriented method by one to one mapping of the Java class which have VRML virtual world and the object control is proposed. Introduction method of video monitoring through method of image synthesis and the integrated development environment is described. Finally automobile-gate control system based on the development method of Internet virtual reality-based system which is proposed in this study is described.

  • In this article, the current technological state of OPC (Openness, Productivity, and Collaboration; formerly "OLE for Process Control") standards and the problem statement of these OPC standards are discussed. The development of an OPC clientserver framework for monitoring and control systems is introduced by using the new OPC Unified Architecture (UA) specifications, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), web services, XML, etc. The developed framework in turn minimizes the efforts of developers in learning new techniques and allows system architects and designers to perform dependency analysis on the development of monitoring and control applications. The potential areas of the proposed framework and the redundancy strategies to increase the efficiency and reliability of the system are also represented according to the initial results from the system that was developed by the Visual Studio 2008 and OPC UA SDK.

  • In this paper, we implemented the monitoring and control of geothermal heating and cooling system using mobile devices. The main idea of this system is to provide the convenience if the system can be controled in remote place with monitoring using the mobile devices like PDA. Basically, the system consists of the Server-Client structure divided into two parts, one is PDA and PC, the other is PC and PLC(Programmable Logic Controller). The PDA, which is equipped with Windows CE as as, monitors the status of the devices (motors and sensors, etc) attached to PLC and controls them. This does the system to be controled by the commands, which we assume to control, with wireless transmission between PC and PLC. The PDA parts are responsible for monitoring and control the devices connected to the PLC, and the PC part which equipped with the application is to provide the relation between PDA and PLC.   • Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS), which is an element of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM), is a widely used material handling equipment with conveyors and Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs). Until now the evaluation of operational policies of AS/RS and control algorithms is done theoretically or by computer simulations. In this study, a real-time control and monitoring software of an AS/RS is also developed by making actually moving AS/RS miniature. A PC-based real-time monitoring program can control the AS/RS directly through the communication port. The monitoring program has additional functions such as storage/retrieval management, inventory management, and statistics management. The program can not only collect the necessary statistics but monitor the current action of the AS/RS concurrently.

  • The lane departure avoidance systems have been considered promising to assist human drivers in AVCS (Advanced Vehicle Control System). In this paper, a lane departure monitoring and control system is developed and evaluated in the hardware-in-the-loop simulations. This system consists of lane sensing, lane departure monitoring and active steering control subsystems. The road image is obtained based on a vision sensor and the lane parameters are estimated using image processing and Kalman Filter technique. The active steering controller for avoiding the lane departure is designed based on the lane departure metric. The proposed lane departure avoidance system is realized in a steering HILS (hardware-in-the-loop simulation) tool and its performance is evaluated with a driver in the loop.

Especially we define domain-specific interfaces and categories to acquire compatibility between products, and implement architecture for lightweight event service.
