사출성형 제품의 지식형 설계시스템 연구 (Knowledge-based synthesis system for injection molding)

  • The design and manufacture of injection molded polymeic parts with desired mechanical properties is a costly process dominated by empiricism, including the modification of actual tooling. This paper presents an interactive computer-based design system for injection molded plastic parts. This knowledge-based synthesis system provides a rational design strategy for injection molding and molded parts. It synergistically combines a rule-based expert system for hurestic knowledge with analytical process simulation programs. The theremomechanical properties of a molded part such as the effect of molecular orientation and weldline strength are predicted by the analysis programs; while the expert system interprets the analytical results from the process simulation, evaluates the design, and generates recommendations for optimal design alternatives. The heuristic knowledge of injection molding is formalized as production rules of the expert consultation system.

  • 본 연구는 중소기업의 정보화를 추진함에 있어, 정보화 중에서도 중단기적인 도입 성과를 낼 수 있는 생산설비정보화 구축을 위하여, 성형제조업 분야의 생산실적 수집에 대한 표준 모델을 연구 개발한다. 성형제조업 생산설비정보화 표준화를 위한 개발방법론은 기 연구 개발된 생산설비정보화 개발 방법론(PSDM)을 적용하며, 표준화 모델은 생산관리 프로세스 중 메인 프로세스인 원자재수급 관리와 생산량 집계 2개의 프로세스를 표준화 시키고 표준 모듈을 개발한다. 본 연구로 생산설비정보화를 구축하고자 하는 성형제조업 중소기업 및 관련 전문 IT업체 들이 표준화된 모듈을 적용하여 시스템을 보다 효과적으로 구축 할 수 있으며, 시스템에 대한 구축 용이성과 신뢰성을 제공한다. 본 연구 결과를 적용함으로써 생산공정의 불합리한 요소제거, 생산제품 품질 향상, 생산비용절감이 가능하다.

토글식 사출성형기의 타이바 연신율 평가 (Tie-bar Elongation Evaluation of Toggle Type Injection Molding Machine)

  • This paper studies the relation between the deformation of platen caused by clamping force, the bending stress and elongation at the tie-bar in injection molding machine of toggle type. These data are analyzed through analytical molding and numerical approach by tensile tester. The effect of bending stress on the stress concentration of teeth and nut system is also analyzed by 2 dimensional numerical approach. The bending stress of tie-bar caused by platen deformation becomes less than 20% of average tensile stress. And the effect of bending stress on stress concentration at teeth and nut system of tie-bar is found to be small.

사출성형 문제해결을 위한 퍼지 신경망 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of Fuzzy Neural Network for Troubleshooting of Injection Molding Problems)

  • In order to predict the moldability of a injection molded part, a simulation of filling is needed. Short shot is one of the most frequent troubles encountered during injection molding process. The adjustment of process conditions is the most economic way to troubleshoot the problematic short shot in cost and time since the mold doesn't need to be modified at all. But it is difficult to adjust the process conditions appropriately in no times since it requires an empirical knowledge of injection molding. In this paper, the intelligent CAE system synergistically combines fuzzy-neural network (FNN) for heuristic knowledge with CAE programs for analytical knowledge. To evaluate the intelligent algorithms, a cellular phone flip has been chosen as a finite element model and filling analyses have been performed with a commercial CAE software. As the results, the intelligent CAE system drastically reduces the troubleshooting time of short shot in comparison with the experts' conventional methodology which is similar to the golden section search algorithm.

  • Magnesium alloys are very attractive materials for appling to the development of autemobile parts or electric goods where light weight and higher stiffness. Due to higher ratio of strength vs. weight and stillness vs. weight, various magnesium alloys are well applied in much weight saving design applications though extrusion or die-casting process. However for the requisites of higher strength and weight savings, some new fabrication processes has been and it can be realized though the aid of injection modeling technology. To obtain the parametric data base for the injection molding process, various experiments were executed for AZ91D magnesium alloy. This paper propose the optimum condition of injection temperature, first and second pressure. the process was lined-up successfully often changing the injection unit. fluid pressure system from the conventional plastic injection molding process.

  • This paper describes the effect of molding pressure, specimen geometries for Mixed Mode I/II interlaminar fracture toughness of carbon fiber reinforced plastic composites by using asymmetrical double cantilever beam(ADCB) specimen. The value of $G_{I/IIC}$ as a function of various molding pressure is almost same at 307, 431, 585 kPa. However it shows the highest value under 307 kPa molding pressure. The effect of $G_{I/IIC}$ due to the change of initial crack length of ADCB specimen was almost negligible in this study. It turns out that the condition for mix mode quasi-static crack growth in ADCB specimen is the ratio of the crack length to that of the specimen, i.e., ${\alpha}/L<0.4$.

HIPS 성형품에서 성형조건이 표면 광택에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Molding Conditions on the Surface Gloss of HIPS Molding)

  • The surface gloss of the injection molded part is one of the most significant point for evaluation the quality of products appearance. The effects of molding condition on the gloss of HIPS(High Impact Poly Styrene) molded part were investigated in this work. The measurements of gloss on the surface of molded part were carried out with different melt temperature, mold temperature, injection pressure and holding pressure. We observed the result of HIPS gloss compared with our's previous ABS study. The more melt and mold temperature increased, the brighter the gloss increase. Holding and injection pressure had little effect on the gloss. The gloss was effected in order of melt temperature, mold temperature, injection pressure, holding pressure.

  • In this study, design and manufacturing of plastic injection mold with cavity pressure/temperature sensors were performed fur tensile test specimen. International standard system for plastic tensile specimen was applied to design an injection molding system. Cavity pressure and temperature sensors were placed on the side of fixed platen of the injection mold to prevent them from external impact damage. Injection molding experiments with variations of injection speed and melt temperature were performed and then tensile test of the manufactured polycarbonate specimens was also performed. It was shown that injection molding processing parameters can have effect on the mechanical properties of the plastic injection molded part.

사출성형기 유압시스템 분석용 시뮬레이션 모델 개발 (1) (Developement of Simulation Model for Analysis of Hydraulic Systems in Injection Molding Machine (1))

  • Hydraulic systems of injection molding machine are modelled and simulated with AMESim which is a commercial program. Detail models of hydraulic components are simulated and simulation results are evaluated with maker's test results in catalog. Sub system models which is divided according to functional operation are made and its analysis results shows how design parameters work on operational characteristics like cylinder speed, cylinder displacement, pressure, flow rates at each node and so on. Total circuit model is also made and analyzed. The prediction made by simulation will be used design of hydraulic systems of injection molding machine.

  • This study aimed at identifying and optimizing the heating-condition parameters that cause surface defects during the compression molding of chalcogenide glass (GeSbSe) lenses through thermal analysis. We derived the optimal heating conditions for molding chalcogenide glass lenses through thermal analysis and analyzed the surface defects. As a result, we observed a significant reduction in surface defects, which verified the analysis process.
