Nanoimprint lithography (NIL) is a new lithographic method that offers a sub-10nm feature size, high throughput, and low cost. One of the most serious problems of NIL is the stiction between mold and resist. The antistiction layer coating is very effective to prevent this stiction and ensure the successful NIL results. In this paper, an antistiction layer was deposited by VSAM (vapor self assembly monolayer) method on silicon samples with FOTS (perfluoroctyltrichlorosilane) as a precursor for making an antistiction layer. A specially designed LPCVD (low pressure chemical vapor deposition) was used for this experiment. All experiments were achieved after removing the humidity. First, the evaporation test of FOTS was performed for checking the evaporation temperature at low pressure. FOTS was evaporated at 5 Tow and $110^{\circ}C$. In order to evaluate the temperature effect on antistiction layer, chamber temperature was changed from 50 to $170^{\circ}C$ with 0.1ml of FOTS for 1 minute. Good hydrophobicity of all samples was shown at about $110^{\circ}$ of contact angle and under $20^{\circ}$ of hysteresis. The surface energies of all samples calculated by Lewis acid/base theory was shown to be about 15mN/m. The deposited thicknesses of all samples measured by ellipsometry were almost 1nm that was similar value of the calculated molecular length. The surface roughness of all samples was not changed after deposition but the friction force showed relatively high values and deviations deposited at under $110^{\circ}$. Also the white circles were founded in LFM images under $110^{\circ}$. High friction forces were guessed based on this irregular deposition. The optimized VSAM process for FOTS was achieved at $170^{\circ}C$, 5 Torr for 1 hour. The hot embossing process with 4 inch Si mold was successfully achieved after VSAM deposition.

This study reports on the development and performance verification of cell simulation boards of simulator and the embedded program for board control of the battery management system (BMS) of electric vehicle (EV) cars, which manages the next-generation automotive lithium-ion battery pack. Here, we have improved the speed of the simulator by using operational (OP) amplifier and transistors that were connected in series. In addition, using a digital analog converter (DAC) in each channel, we have improved the performance by channel-to-channel isolation (isolation) as compared to the traditional methods. Furthermore, by constructing a current-limiting protection circuit, one can be protected from disturbance and, by utilizing a precision shunt resistor for the current sensor, we have increased the precision of the current control. In order to verify the performance of the developed simulator, we have performed the experiment 10 times, with values ranging from 0.5 V to 5 V, and a voltage drop step of 0.5 V. Significance analysis of experimental data, and repeatability tests were performed, showing an average standard deviation of 0.001~0.004 V, indicating high repeatability and high statistical significance of the current method and system.
In this study, the variation of the shrinkage in the thickness direction of the molded parts according to the gate size of the polymer core fabricated through the 3D printer using the SLS method was studied. The polymer cores are laser sintered and the powder material is nylon base PA2200. The polymer cores have lower heat transfer rate and rigidity than the metal core due to the characteristics of the material. Therefore, the injection molding test conditions are set to minimize the deformation of the core during the injection process. The resin used in the injection molding test is a PP material. The packing condition was set to 80, 90 and 100% of the maximum injection pressure for each gate size. The runner diameter used was ∅3mm, and the gates were fabricated in semicircle shapes with cross sections 1, 2, and 3 ㎟, respectively. Thickness measurement was performed for 10 points at 2.5 mm intervals from the point 2.5 mm away from the gate, and the shrinkage to thickness was measured for each point. The shrinkage rate according to the gate size tends to decrease as the cross-sectional area decreases as the maximum injection pressure increases. The average thickness shrinkage rate was close to 0% when the packing pressure was 90% for the gate area of 1mm2. When the holding pressure was set to 100%, the shrinkage was found to decrease by 3% from the standard dimension due to the over-packing phenomenon. Therefore, the smaller the gate, the more closely the molded dimensions can be molded due to the high pressure generation. It was confirmed that precise packing process control is necessary because over-packing phenomenon may occur.

OBJECTIVES : In this study, microstructural components of crumb rubber modified asphalt (CRMA) binder were investigated using environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM). To clearly understand the elemental composition of the CRMA binder, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) was employed on the ESEM samples. METHODS : CRMA binders were produced using open blade mixers at $177^{\circ}C$ for 30 min. The binders were artificially aged through a series of accelerated aging processes. Sample preparation was done by making a mold shape on the glass slide. Thereafter, the morphology of the CRMA binder was observed using the ESEM coupled with the EDX. RESULTS : The images captured from the ESEM indicate that the unaged CRMA binder appears to have a single-phase continuous nonuniform structure after the addition of crumb rubber particles, whereas the artificially aged CRMA binder was observed to have two different phases. ESEM coupled with EDX shows detailed internal structure of the modified binders compared to other technologies (i.e., optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and conventional scanning electron microscope). CONCLUSIONS : The captured images resemble the internal structures such as the viscous properties of the unaged CRMA binder and the interaction between the rubber particles and the base binder at aged condition. ESEM is a powerful instrument and with the introduction of EDX, it provided more details of the network microstructure of the asphalt binder. ESEM coupled with EDX is recommended for use in future investigation of microstructure of asphalt binders.

Ferroelectric $Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ films were deposited on $SrTiO_3(100)$ and Si(100) substrate by using conductive $SrRuO_3$ films as underlayer, and their ferroelectric and electrical properties were investigated depending on crystal structure and orientation. C-axis oriented $Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ films were grown on well lattice-matched pseudo-cubic $SrRuO_3$ films deposited on $SrTiO_3(100)$ substrate, while random-oriented polycrystalline $Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ films were grown on $SrRuO_3$ films deposited on Si(100) substrate. The random-oriented polycrystalline film showed a good ferroelectric hysteresis property with remanent polarization ($P_r$) of $9.4{\mu}C/cm^2$ and coercive field ($E_c$) of 84.9 kV/cm, while the c-axis oriented film showed $P_r=0.64{\mu}C/cm^2$ and $E_c=47kV/cm$ in polarizaion vs electric field curve. The c-axis oriented $Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ film showed a dielectric constant of about 150 and lower thickness dependence in dielectric constant compared to the random-oriented film. Furthermore, the c-axis oriented $Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ film showed leakage current lower than that of the polycrystalline film. The difference of ferroelectric properties in two films was explained from the viewpoint of depolarization effect due to orientation of spontaneous polarization and layered crystal structure of bismuth-base ferroelectric oxide.

The purpose of this study was to examine an effect of fluoride recharging on fluoride release and surface change of fluoride-releasing restorative materials. Six commercially available fluoride releasing restorative materials (Fuji II LC Improved: FL, Compoglass F: CF, Dyract AP: DA, F2000: FT, Gradia Direct: GD, and Tetric Ceram: TC) were selected as experimental materials. Disk specimens were fabricated with split teflon mold to the final dimensions of 15 mm in diameter and 1 mm in thickness. Ten samples of each material were fabricated and stored in deionized water at $37^{\circ}C{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ for 3 months. Before fluoride recharging, all specimens were polished sequentially from #800 to #2000 emery papers. Fluoride recharging was done at 5-day interval using 2.0% NaF gel. The release of fluoride into the storage water was monitored using a fluoride ion electrode. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and Tukey's multiple range test. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. Fluoride recharge capability were FL > CF > DA and TC group after 12 times exposure to 2.0% NaF gel (P<0.05). 2. All the experimental materials, except for FT group, showed the increase of fluoride release and surface roughness. 3. Fluoride-releasing rates returned to base line within 3 days.

Pyramid shape of micro pattern is applied to the light guide panel (LGP) to enhance the uniformity of the brightness of the LCD. The micro pyramids are molded in intaglio on the surface of the LGP. The size of each pyramid is 5$\mu$m $\times$ 5$\mu$m on bottom and the height is about 3.5$\mu$m. The pyramids are distributed on the LGP surface randomly to be sparser where the light comes in and denser at the opposite side as a result of a simulation using lightools$^{TM}$ Based on this design, a silicon pattern master and a nickel stamper are fabricated by MEMS process and electro plating process. Intaglio micro pyramids are fabricated on the 6' of silicon wafer from the anisotropic etching using KOH and the process time, temperature of the KOH solution, etc are optimized to obtain precise shape of the pattern. A Wi stamper is fabricated from this pattern master by electro plating process and the embossed pyramid patterns turns out to be well defined on the stamper. Adopting this stamper to the mold base with two cavities, 1.8' and 3.6' LGPs are injection molded.
PURPOSE. The aim of this in vitro study was to examine the curing efficiency of various resin-based materials polymerized through ceramic restorations with 3 different thicknesses. Curing efficiency was evaluated by determining the surface microhardness (VHN) of the resin specimens. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Four kinds of resin materials were used. Z350 (3M ESPE $Filtek^{TM}$ Z350: A2 Shade), Z250 (3M ESPE $Filtek^{TM}$ Z250: A2 Shade) and $Variolink^{(R)}$ II (VL: Ivoclar vivadent, base: transparent) either with or without a self-curing catalyst (VLC: Ivoclar vivadent, catalyst: low viscosity/transparent) were filled into the silicone mold (10 mm diameter, 1 mm thick). They were cured through ceramic discs (IPS e.max Press MO-0 ingot ivoclar vivadent, 10 mm diameter, 0.5, 1 and 2 mm thicknesses) by LED light-curing units for 20 and 40 seconds. Vicker's microhardness numbers (VHNs) were measured on the bottom surfaces by a microhardness tester. Data were analyzed using a 3-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) at a significance level of 0.05. RESULTS. The thickness of ceramic disc increased, the VHNs of all four resin types were decreased (P<.05). The mean VHN values of the resins light cured for 40 seconds were significantly higher than that of LED for 20 seconds in all four resin materials (P<.05). VLC showed significantly higher VHN values than VL regardless of other conditions (P<.05). Z350 and Z250 showed higher values than VL or VLC (P<.01). CONCLUSION. Thinner ceramic disc with increased curing time resulted higher VHN values of all resin materials. The use of a catalyst produced a greater hardness with all polymerization methods. Restorative resin materials (Z350, Z250) showed higher VHN values than resin cement materials (VL, VLC).

Generally, the machinability of materials that have a good mechanical properties is poor. For materials having a high strength, high toughness, high strength in high temperature and wear resistance, it is difficult to remove a chip from work materials. These properties are well shown in a Nickel, so this metal is used in machine materials, semi-conductor industry, metal mold and optical fields etc. But it is limitted in use because of high cost and poor machinability. In this study, the cutting of pure Nickel was conducted to examine wear of CBN, poly crystal diamond (PCD) and single crystal diamond (SCD) tools. From the result, the CBN tool is superior to poly crystal diamond tools or single crystal diamond tools in terms of tool wear and tool wear is predictable from experimental data base.
