Recently, many cosmetic researchers have been focused on the development of high functional cosmetics including anti-wrinkle and whitening. In these studies, they couldn't afford to pay a deep attention to stable encapsulations for unstable materials and efficient drug deliveries for them. Particularly, in order to show a degree of instant effects as cosmetics, they can't also ignore moisturizing effect enough to satisfy customers just after applying and its maintenance by improving the function of skin barrier as well as above two effects. Therefore, skin analogue systems have attracted considerable attention in the view of structural and compositional similarity to intercellular membrane in stratum corneum. And, some models for skin analogue composition were developed to improve the function of skin barrier, stably encapsulate unstable materials such as retinol, vitamin B, C, E, etc., and control their skin penetration in order to show good effects as cosmetics. In this study, we suggest the new skin analogue model having the compositional similarity as well as conventional structural ones. Our skin analogue membrane(SAM) is mainly composed of ceramide/ cholesterol/phosphatidylcholin/fatty acids and its structural defects are compensated by including cholesterol amphiphile and controlling the ratio of ceramide/cholesterol. It was possible to confirm the formation of skin analogue membrane having highly-densed multilamella structure and compare them according to the change of each ratio with a polarized microscope, X-ray diffraction. More detaily, we observed their structures with a electron microscope(TEM). Finally, we dispersed them in excess of continuous water phase, observed the formation of maltese-cross liquid crystalline and measured the efficiency of drug deliveries and moisturizing effects.

The nano capsulation of the ceramide was a technique that capsulated ceramide III and tocopheryl linoleate at the mono-vesicle, so as to act the horny layer in skin. It was used 0.5-5.0 wt% of hydrogenated lecithin and 0.01~2.00 wt% of lysolecithin as the membrane-strengthen agents of the mono-vesicle, 5.0~10 wt% of propylene glycol and 5.0~10.0 wt% of ethyl alcohol made by high-pressure Microfluidizer. To enhance the moisturizing efficacy and treat an atopy skin, used ceramide III and tocopheryl linoleate as the active ingredients, and it was made the nano-capsule that synthetic emulsifiers were free. The optimal condition of capsulation of nano ceramide was as follows. The conditions were 3 times at 1,000bar and 60-7$0^{\circ}C$. The particle size showed 63.1$\pm$7.34 nm such as the transparence water as the results for measuring by the laser light scattering. A zeta potential value was -55.1$\pm$0.84 ㎷. The result of the clinical test, the moisturizing effect (in-vivo, n=8, p-value<0.05) was improved 21.15% compared to control, as well as it was improved 36.31 % before the treatment. Moreover, the effectiveness of atopy skin indicated positive reaction that patients were 10 volunteers.

크림은 피부의 보습효과를 비롯하여 유연기능 등 다양한 목적으로 사용된다. 최근에는 천연향 성분의 크림제품이 출시되면서 그 기능에 관심이 모아지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 곽향, 유향, 백단향, 무향 그리고 새로 개발된 조합향(S6) 5개의 천연향을 대상으로 심리생리적 인체 영향을 평가하였다. 첫 번째로 대전지역에 거주하는 20~30대 여성 100명을 대상으로 감성 형용사를 이용한 주관적 평가를 수행하였다. 그 결과, 조합향을 가장 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 두 번째로 주관적 평가에 참가한 응답자 중 20명을 대상으로 EEG와 ECG, GSR을 측정하였다. EEG 분석 결과, 각 조건에서 알파파의 비율이 높게 나타나는 것을 확인하였다. 통계적 분석 결과, 조합향에서 유의하게 나타나 긴장완화 효과가 가장 큰 것을 알 수 있었다($p$ < 0.05). 이런 결과는 심전도와 피부전기저항 측정값에서도 동일한 경향으로 나타났다. 세 번째로 조합향 제품을 사용하였을 때 피부상태를 측정하였다. 그 결과 피부 온도와 습도, 피부 움직임 속도가 증가하였다. 보습효과와 탄력 효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

세라마이드는 일반적으로 화장품 산업에서 피부의 보습 및 피부장벽강화에 도움을 주는 성분으로 많은 연구와 개발이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 이번 연구에서는 일반적인 합성 세라마이드가 아닌 달맞이꽃오일에서 얻은 천연 세라마이드를 함유한 보습크림이 피부의 보습 및 경피수분손실량의 변화에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 확인하였다. 세라마이드를 함유한 보습크림이 세라마이드들 함유하지 않은 보습크림과 비교하여 피부보습력과 경피수분손실량에서 우수한 결과 값을 나타내었음을 확인하였다.

Objectives : This study was designed to investigate the effects of alcoholic fermentation extract from ovary and rind of pear on human skin. Methods : We investigated the effects of samples on human skin in terms of clinical trial. 32 of healthy volunteers, who lived in mokpo participated in clinical trial. Effects of sample on hygroscopicity and water-holding capacity were investigated. Sebum, moisture, scabrousness and desquamation were also investigated. Facial massages were conducted 8 times in each volunteers. Results : Single treatment group showed elevated levels of hygroscopicity (Normal : 106.4$\pm$2.1%, vs Pear : 114.1$\pm$6.2) and water-holding capacity (Normal : 87.1$\pm$4.4%, vs Pear : 96.2$\pm$1.3) on forearm of 16 volunteers respectively. In addition, massage group using sample showed elevated moisture (Control : 3.8$\pm$5.8%, vs Sample : 15.2$\pm$4.7%) and lowered scabrousness levels (Control : -12.3$\pm$4.4%, vs Sample : -22.0$\pm$5.2%) significantly. However, the levels of sebum did not affected by sample. Conclusions : These result suggest that alcoholic fermentation extract from ovary and rind of pear has moisturizing effect on human skin.

Flying fish Cypselurus agoo roe is a popular food ingredient due to its abundant nutrition, unique texture, and flavor. It contains high levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids, protein, and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and vitamins (A, B₁, B₂, B₆, and niacin), making it a highly utilized food ingredient. Additionally, it is widely used as a raw material for food and cooking in several countries. After harvesting, flying fish roe is dried and transported to processing plants, where it performed a re-moisturizing process. However, the conventional re-moisturizing process is time-consuming and results in some loss of quality. Thus, this study investigates the conditions required for the re-moisturization of flying fish roe including the composition of the immersion solution, immersion time, and conditions that could minimize damage to the roe. The results suggest a reasonable composition of immersion solution to minimize damage to flying fish roe and the most appropriate immersion time for re-moisturization. These results may provide valuable insights for the industry to enhance the quality of re-moisturized flying fish roe, leading to an increase in its market value and demand.

Cosmetic mask is one of the traditional cosmetic product and is used to keep skin healthy and beautiful through moisturizing effect, cleansing effect and acceleration effect on microcirculation. There are several types of cosmetic mask such as peel-off type, tissue-off type, wash-off type and cotton sheet type immersed in cosmetic water. It is important for cosmetic formulators to develop an adequate type of cosmetic mask that meets the needs of the target consumers because each type of cosmetic mask has benefits and problems in its usage and efficacy. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is widely used as an active ingredient of peel-off type cosmetic mask and the physical property of the PVA film changes with the usage of other ingredients. We studied the change of physical properties of the film containing PVA by formulating peel-off type cosmetic mask with the variation of humectants. Methylguceth-20 and glycereth-26 reduce the interaction between skin surface and PVA film without serious weakening of tensile strength and they can alleviate irritation. Glycerin, urea and betaine help PVA film soften and they also have excellent efficacy as humectants.

본 연구에서는 다마스크 장미 내 고분자 당단백을 bioconversion 기술을 이용하여 저분자화한 다마스크 장미추출물(Rosa damascena extract containing low molecular glycoprotein, RELG)의 항노화 효능을 측정하였다. DPPH 라디칼 소거능을 이용한 RELG의 항산화능 평가($IC_{50}$)는 $22.6{\mu}g/mL$으로 양성대조군인 ascorbic acid $21.1{\mu}g/mL$와 비교하여 비슷한 수준의 항산화능을 나타내었고 피부세포실험에서는 $15{\mu}g/mL$에서 자외선과 $H_2O_2$에 의한 활성산소 생성을 28% 억제하였다. 또한 같은 농도에서 자외선에 의한 콜라겐 분해효소(MMP-1)의 생성을 48% 억제하고 $10{\mu}g/mL$에서 대조군 대비 보습인자인 aquaporin 3 (AQP3)의 발현을 44%, 중성지질 생합성을 10% 촉진하여 항주름 효능과 더불어 보습효능까지 나타냈다. 추가적으로 두피 모유두세포에서는 스트레스로 인한 세포사멸을 $15{\mu}g/mL$에서 10% 억제하고 활성산소의 생성을 90% 감소시켰다. 본 연구 결과, RELG는 효과적인 항노화 화장품 소재임을 확인하였다.

본 연구는 순채 점액질 다당체의 인체 피부와 in vitro에서의 피부 보습효과를 확인하고 화장품 원료로서의 가능성을 평가하기 위한 것이다. 다양한 환경적 스트레스와 노화로부터 피부를 보호하기 위해서는 피부의 수분 보유량을 증가시키고 수분의 손실을 예방해야 한다. 본 연구진은 순채의 점액질로부터 추출한 다당체를 인체 피부에 도포했을 때, 특이적인 윤활성으로 피부에서의 거칠기(roughness)를 개선시켰다는 것을 확인했다. In vitro에서 각질형성세포에 순채 점액질 다당체를 처리했을 때, 피부장벽의 가교 역할을 하는 transglutaminase 1 (TGM1) 유전자의 발현이 증가하였다. 또한 물과 글리세롤의 이동을 조절하는 막관통 단백질 aquaporin 3 (AQP3)와 수분 보유 기질 히알루론산을 합성하는 효소인 hyaluronan synthase 3 (HAS3) 유전자의 발현 또한 증가함을 확인했다. 추가적으로 화장품 원료로서의 가능성을 평가하기 위한 실험에서, 항염증과 콜라겐 합성 촉진 효능을 보였다. 결과적으로 순채의 점액질 다당체는 기존에 없는 새로운 천연 원료로서, 피부에 보습 효과와 항염증, 콜라겐 합성 촉진 효능이 있음을 밝혔다.
