  • 최근 저탄소 녹색성장을 필두로 그린에너지의 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 이중 에너지 효율이 가장 우수한 발전원인 열병합발전의 가장 현실적인 대안이다. 이러한 열병합발전의 경제성을 더욱 확보하고 동시에 신뢰성 있는 운전을 위해서는 열 연계운전이 매우 중요하다 인식되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 현재의 열병합발전의 다양한 운전모드를 고려하여 열 연계운전을 최적으로 운용할 수 있는 알고리즘을 개발하여 집단에너지 사업자의 개별운전대비 집단에너지사업자간의 양자 간 최적 열 거래를 통하여 운전한 경우의 경제적 이득을 정량적으로 평가할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한, 본 실제 계통에 적용하여 본 연구에서 제안하는 알고리즘의 유용성을 검증하였다.

H.264/AVC 복호기를 위한 고성능 연산처리 인트라 예측기 설계 (A Design of High Performance Operation Intra Predictor for H.264/AVC Decoder)

  • 본 논문에서는 H.264/AVC 복호기를 위한 고성능 연산처리 인트라 예측기를 제안한다. 기존의 인트라 예측기는 $4{\times}4$블록에 적용되는 17개의 예측모드를 효율적으로 연산하기 위해 공통 연산기를 사용하였다. 하지만 기존의 공통 연산기는 한 픽셀에 적용되는 연산 수식을 분석하여 설계되었기 때문에, 16개 픽셀의 $4{\times}4$ 블록을 연산하기 위해 4개의 공통 연산기를 사용하며 4 사이클을 소요한다. 본 논문에서는 병렬 연산을 위한 T3(Three Type Transform) 연산기를 제안한다. 제안하는 T3 연산기는 17개의 인트라 예측 모드를 3가지 형태로 나누어, $4{\times}4$ 블록의 16개 픽셀에 적용되는 연산 수식을 한 사이클에 처리한다. 제안하는 인트라 예측기와 기존의 인트라 예측기의 예측 수행 사이클을 각 모드 별로 비교한 결과, 제안하는 인트라 예측기가 평균 58.95%의 향상된 결과를 얻었다.

Selection of Coupling Factor for Minimum Inductor Current Ripple in Multi-winding Coupled Inductor Used in Bidirectional DC-DC Converters

  • A bidirectional dc-dc converter is used in battery energy storage systems owing to the growing requirements of a charging and discharging mode of battery. The magnetic coupling of output or input inductors in parallel-connected multi modules of a bidirectional dc-dc converter is often utilized to reduce the peak-to-peak ripple size of the inductor current. This study proposes a novel design guideline to achieve minimal ripple size of the inductor current under bidirectional power flow. The newly proposed design guideline of optimized coupling factor is applicable to the buck and boost operation modes of a bidirectional dc-dc converter. Therefore, the coupling factor value of the coupled inductor does not have to be optimized separately for buck and boost operation modes. This new observation is explained using the theoretical model of coupled inductor and confirmed through simulation and experimental test.

  • A hierarchical Petri- net is utilized in supervising an automated vehicle system, The supervisory system is supported by computer networking in order to facilitate necessary processing, and consists of control flow level and computer allocation level so that a designer and an operator can easily build and/or access to each level. There are two modes of utilizing Petri net here in this paper. One is to employ it in designing the control system, in order to optimally allocate computers in every stage of processing. The other is for supervision of the system in operation, in order for the operator to be in a easy-to-comprehend environment of operation. The effect of these two modes of utilizing Petri net is examined.

  • FMEA(Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) is a failure analysis method for the system to identify the potential failure modes, and their effects and causes to reduce or mitigate the critical effects of the system. FMEA for railway was introduced with reliability of railway system, and this was used for identifying and analysing the possible hazards qualitatively to meet the requirements in early stage of business. In general, the overall failure data of system could be managed from design stage by FMEA, and also the countermeasures to prevent many predicted failures could be established by identification of failure modes and assement of failure effects by FMEA. Using these advantages of FMEA, the effectiveness of reliability improvement could be expected if FMEA is applied continuously in operation stage. It is essential that railway vehicles are maintained with high level of safety and reliability not to happen any failures in operation. This paper is proposed the proper FMEA for maintenance of railway vehicles compared with existing FMEA.

  • In this paper, a multiple-output converter using a coupledinductor is proposed. The Asymmetrical Half-Bridge Converter (AHBC), which is used as a master converter, obtains ZVS in the primary side switches. For the tight output voltage regulation of the slave output, the Secondary Side Post Regulator (SSPR) is adopted. The proposed magnetically coupled output filter inductor reduces the number of semi-conductor devices and magnetic components. Also, the circuit enables ZCS off switching in the SSPR MOSFET and rectifying diodes. The modes of operation which are caused by the coupled-inductor and post regulator are explained. The analyzed modes of operation of the proposed multiple-output converter are verified by the simulation and experimental results.

  • The significance of hydro-power plant is increasing in its public roles such as flood control and water supply as well as electric power production. Even if high level of reliability in facility operation is required, no specific reliability research has been made. This specifically stems from the lack of technology and research investments. The eventual goal of this study is to secure a methodology for reliability analysis of hydro-power plant so that an appropriate decision for operation and investment can be made. Specific effort was put to develop a reliability model for water supply system within hydro-power plant. For this study, we briefly examined the overview of the hydro-power plant including the electric power generation facility system. We then discussed the facility reliability analysis methodology for hydro-power plant. Based on rigorous examination of the water supply system and components roles, we drew major failure modes for each component and examined their effects.

에너지저장 커패시터의 최적 충전을 위한 직렬공진형 컨버터의 운용 모드 비교 (Comparative Analysis of Charging Modes of Series Resonant Converter for an Energy Storage Capacitor)

  • In this paper, charging modes of series resonant converter for a high voltage energy storage capacitor are compared in terms of charging time, peak resonant current, normalized peak resonant current and voltage in each operation mode. Operating principles of the full bridge series resonant converter with capacitor load are explained and analyzed in discontinuous and continuous operation mode. Based on the analysis and simulation result, $0.6{\omega}_r$ < ${\omega}_s$ < $0.75{\omega}_r$ and $1.3{\omega}_r$ < ${\omega}_s$ < $1.4{\omega}_r$ are evaluated to the best range of switching frequency for charging of an high voltage energy storage capacitor. 1.8 kJ/s SRC prototype is assembled with TI 28335 DSP controller and 40 kJ, 7 kV energy storage capacitor. Design rules based on the comparative analysis are verified by experiment.

계통연계형 태양광발전 시스템의 고장유형별 손실 비교분석 (Losses Comparison and Analysis for Fault Modes of Grid-connected Photovoltaic System)

  • This paper presents losses comparison and analysis results for different types of fault modes of grid-connected photovoltaic system generated for long-term operation. The approach of losses comparison and analysis by faults is to identify relationship between measured and estimated values of five loss factors which are quantified from irradiance to system output power. This paper presents the symptom results for faults such as snow, shading, sensor defect, blackout, soiling and so on from three years or more monitored data. These results will indicate that it is useful to develop fault detection and diagnosis tool to enhance capacity factor and save operation and maintenance cost of grid-connected photovoltaic system in the field.

Multi-sensor data-based anomaly detection and diagnosis of a pumped storage hydropower plant

  • This paper introduces a system to detect and diagnose anomalies in pumped storage hydropower plants. We collect data from various types of sensors, including those monitoring temperature, vibration, and power. The data are classified according to the operation modes (pump and turbine operation modes) and normalized to remove the influence of the external environment. To detect anomalies and diagnose their types, we adopt a multivariate normal distribution analysis by learning the distribution of the normal data. The feasibility of the proposed system is evaluated using actual monitoring data of a pumped storage hydropower plant. The proposed system can be used to implement condition monitoring systems for other plants through modifications.
