스테레오정합과 신경망을 이용한 3차원 잡기계획 (3D Grasp Planning using Stereo Matching and Neural Network)

  • This paper deals with the synthesis of the 3-dimensional grasp planning for unknown objects. Previous studies have many problems, which the estimation time for finding the grasping points is much long and the analysis used the not-perfect 3-dimensional modeling. To overcome these limitations in this paper new algorithm is proposed, which algorithm is achieved by two steps. First step is to find the whole 3-dimensional geometrical modeling for unknown objects by using stereo matching. Second step is to find the optimal grasping points for unknown objects by using the neural network trained by the result of optimization using genetic algorithm. The algorithm is verified by computer simulation, comparing the result between neural network and optimization.

  • This paper describes the implementation process of Virtual Modeling system for a customer-oriented product. The human sense is measured and analyzed by physical design factors and can be applied also for the product design. The first step implementing virtual modeling is to make a human sensibility("Kansei") database. Human sensibility database is constructed with the relational data of Kansei words and design factors. The next step is extraction the design information from the human sensibility database by fuzzy inference algorithm. This design information is used for the input data for the graphic database. Virtual implementation software compounds 3D shape of product. The final product can be modified according to the customer's requirement.quirement.

  • This paper focuses on a automation selection of optimal cutting conditions and cycle time for multi-spindle metal cutting machines based on machining parameters and tool change schemes which are the two most common terms used in the metal cutting. In this research we used two step generative approach, step 1 is mathematical modeling for the selection fo optimal cutting conditions and the other is GMDH-Type modeling to estimate the system performance evaluation. We developed computer programs for these models and the fitting manufacturing examples are applied to this model and it was shown that the proposed approach has a good potential and offers a valuable tools to analyse the metal cutting system.

  • Various methods of finite element modeling for welded part are examined and the stamping simulation of automotive body is presented by using the explicit finite element code PAM-STAMPTM. The process of stamping simulation is suggested step by step, and then the gravity, binder wrap, forming, trimming and springback of front door inner are analyzed. It shows good agreements with real product in the aspects of deformed shape and failure area. The door inner with laser-tailor welded blank is simulated, in which deformed shape, movement of welde line and formability are predicted.

  • The objective of this research is to develop a measurement error model for sculptured surfaces in On-Machine Measurement (OMM) process based on a closed-loop configuration. The geometric error model of each axis of a vertical CNC Machining center is derived using a 4${\times}$4 homogeneous transformation matrix. The ideal locations of a touch-type probe for the scupltured surface measurement are calculated from the parametric surface representation and X-, Y- directional geometric errors of the machine. Also, the actual coordinates of the probe are calculated by considering the pre-travel variation of a probe and Z-directional geometric errors. Then, the step-by-step measurement error analysis method is suggested based on a closed-loop configuration of the machining center including workpiece and probe errors. The simulation study shows the simplicity and effectiveness of the proposed error modeling strategy.

  • 본 논문에서는 Legacy 데이터베이스에서 추출된 정보들에 대해 XML 기술을 적용하고자 했을 때, 참조할 DTD(Document Type Definition) 생성과정 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 테이블간의 복잡한 상호 연결 관계를 표현하고 사전에 ID의 일방적인 추가 단계를 배제할 수 있는 IDREF-ID속성 관계 모델링을 적용한다. 이 방식에서는 테이블 사이의 관계 및 테이블 사이의 데이터들이 빈번하게 탐색되는 방향을 조사하면서 동시에 ID 추가 작업을 병행 처리하게 된다. 그 결과 IDREF-ID 속성 관계를 파악하면서 동시에 ID 추가 작업이 가능하며, 참조할 DTD 생성도 가능하다.

  • In this study, SWAT model was applied to the Soyang Dam upstream watershed in order to evaluate the model applicability for estimating runoff, sediment, and nutrients loadings from the watershed. By trial and error method, the model parameters related with runoff, sediment, nitrogen and phosphorus were calibrated step by step. Then the simulated runoff, sediment, and nutrients loadings by the model were compared with the observed data measured at the Soyang Dam, the outlet of the watershed. And several statistical criteria were calculated to evaluate the model performance. From the comparison and statistical criteria, good agreement between simulated and observed stream flows was found. For sediment and nutrients, it was not reliable to quantitatively model the observed values, but the model could simulate the trend with reasonable accuracy. Hence, it was concluded that the model can be applied for the long-term non-point modeling in a large watershed.

파동장 외삽을 이용한 데이터밍 (Datuming by Wavefield Depth Extrapolation)

  • 본 논문은 파동장의 심도방향으로의 외삽(extrapolation) 을 사용한 데이터밍 기법을 소개한다. 개발된 기법은 phase-shift, split-step, 또는 유한차분과 같은 다양한 파동장 외삽기법들을 사용할 수 있다. 데이터밍 알고리즘을 유도하기 위해, 우선 평면에 정의 되어 있는 파동장을 임의의 굴곡을 갖는 면으로 외삽을 수행하는 모델링 연산자를 대수학적으로 구한 후, 본 모델링 연산자에 어드조인트(adjoint)관계에 있는 연산자를 대수학적으로 구하여 데이터밍 연산자를 얻었다. 다양한 외삽방법을 사용한 데이터밍 알고리즘의 실험에서 매우 만족스러운 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Exploratory Study of Developing a Synchronization-Based Approach for Multi-step Discovery of Knowledge Structures

  • As Topic Modeling has been applied in increasingly various domains, the difficulty in naming and characterizing topics also has been recognized more. This study, therefore, explores an approach of combining text mining with network analysis in a multi-step approach. The concept of synchronization was applied to re-assign the top author keywords in more than one topic category, in order to improve the visibility of the topic-author keyword network, and to increase the topical cohesion in each topic. The suggested approach was applied using 16,548 articles with 2,881 unique author keywords in construction and building engineering indexed by KSCI. As a result, it was revealed that the combined approach could improve both the visibility of the topic-author keyword map and topical cohesion in most of the detected topic categories. There should be more cases of applying the approach in various domains for generalization and advancement of the approach. Also, more sophisticated evaluation methods should also be necessary to develop the suggested approach.

  • This paper presents an algorithm for simplification of 3D triangular mesh data, based on mesh simplification. The proposed algorithm is first attempt to segment the entire mesh into several parts using the orientation of triangles. Then simplification algorithm is applied to each segment that has similar geometric property. The proposed two step multi-resolution modeling scheme would yield better performance then conventional algorithm like edge collapse technique, since the segmentation step can give global information on the input shape. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is performed efficiently.
