  • This work describes the modeling of cutting process for feedback control based on signal processing in end-milling. Here, cutting force is used to design control model by a variety of schemes which are moving average, ensemble average, peak value, root mean square and analog low-pass filtering. It is expected that each model offers its own peculiar advantage in following cutting force control.

  • Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) has merits in both simple electrical controllability of dc motor and mechanical reliability of ac motor by applying vector control. The vector control method orients the armature current phasor to be perpendicular to the permenant magnet rotor flux in a two-axis coordinate frame, and provides control characteristics that are similar to those of separately excited dc motors. This paper presents a simple model following scheme for position control of PMSM fed by hysteresis current-controlled PWM inverter. The simulation results show the validity of the proposed control method.

  • This paper presents an adaptive fuzzy controller using an neural network and adaptation algorithm. Reference-model following neuro-fuzzy controller(RMFNFC) is invesgated in order to overcome the difficulty of rule selecting and defects of the membership function in the general fuzzy logic controller(FLC). RMFNFC is developed to tune various parameter of the fuzzy controller which is used for the discrete nonlinear system control. RMFNFC is trained with the identification information and control closed loop error. A closed loop error is used for design criteria of a fuzzy controller which characterizes and quantize the control performance required in the overall control system. A control system is trained up the controller with the variation of the system obtained from the identifier and closed loop error. Numerical examples are presented to control of the discrete nonlinear system. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

  • In this paper, we design an optimal model following ${\mu}-$synthesis control system for fuel-injection of diesel engine which has robust performance and satisfactory command tracking performance in spite of uncertainties of the system. To do this, we give gain and dynamics parameters to the weighting functions and apply genetic algorithm with reference model to the optimal determination of the weighting functions that are given by the D-K iteration method which can design ${\mu}-$synthesis controller in the state space. These weighting functions are optimized simultaneously in the search domain which guarantees the robust performance of the system. The ${\mu}-$synthesis control system for fuel-injection designed by the above method has not only the robust performance but also a better command tracking performance than those of the ${\mu}-$synthesis control system designed by trial-and-error method. The effectiveness of this ${\mu}-$synthesis control system for fuel-injection is verified by computer simulation.

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive tracking control method of a mobile manipulator for contour following with a kinematic model to have several unknown dimension parameters. Moreover, we will use the decentralized control method to design two independent controllers for two subsystems. The proposed controllers in this paper are based on the Lyapunov function in order to guarantee the stability of whole system for contour following task. The updated laws are also designed to estimated the unknown dimension parameters. Finally, the simulation results are presented to show the validity of the proposed controllers in this paper.

  • In this study, a motion control problem for the vessel towed by towing ship on the sea is considered. The towed vessel does not have self-control capabilities such that its course stability totally depends on the towing ship. Especially, in the narrow canal, river and congested harbor area, extreme tension is required during the towing operation. The authors, therefore, propose a new control system design method in which the rudder is activated to provide its maneuverability. Based on the leader following system configuration, a nonlinear mathematical model is derived and a backstepping control is designed. By experiment results with nonlinear control framework, the usefulness and effectiveness of the proposed strategy are presented.

  • In Korea, the nosocomial infection control program is not well developed. This situation is created by a lack of interest from medical personnel and the medical payment system. This study identifies current problems and develops a model for nosocomial infection control. The studies of Lee & Kim(1995), Lee (1993) and SENIC project model were used to construct this model. 1. The problems of nosocomial infection control were identified as the following: dis approval by hospital authorities, lack of sources for program direction, lack of overall structure and function in the program, inadequate direct action, lack of education and training, and so on. 2. The problems are reorganized according to the 5 elements of system theory. 3. As a result, the new nosocomial infection control model was developed. The inputs of the model were the elements, resources and boundaries of nosocomial infection. With the new model, each hospital can evaluate their current programs and plan a new program for the better control of nosocomial infection.

  • A scheme of observer-based MFAC(Model Following Acceleration Control) system is proposed for the DC servo position control system. The proposed system is competed of MFAC, feedback controller, and reduced-order state observer. As the servo motor is controlled by the acceleration command, the total servo system becomes the acceleration control system. Simulation results show that the proposed system have robust properties against parameter variations and external disturbances.

기상상황에 따른 노면상태를 고려한 첨단차량 추종거동 모형의 분석 (Analysis of Car Following Model of Adaptive Cruise Controlled Vehicle Considering the Road Conditions According to Weather Circumstance)

  • 첨단차량 및 도로시스템 (AVHS)의 가장 핵심적인 모형인 추종거동 모형은 인간공학적 요소를 반영하거나 가속도 오차율을 줄이는 등 다양한 측면에서 개발되고 있다. 하지만 첨단차량 추종거동과 관련하여 기상상황을 고려한 안전성에 대한 연구는 미미한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기상상황에 따른 노면상태와 차량 주행행태의 관계를 분석하여 첨단차량 추종거동 시 차량의 주행행태 변화를 비교하였고, 이에 따른 노면상태 별 최적안전거리를 산정하였다. 노면상태는 기상상황에 따라 다양하게 분류 되지만, 본 논문에서는 건조, 습윤, 적설 노면상태로 분류하고 이에 따른 마찰계수를 추종거동 모형인 GMIT 모형에 적용하였다. 제안된 추종거동 모형의 시뮬레이션 결과, 기상상황별 노면상태에 따라 추종차량의 속도와 가속도 및 차간거리가 변화되었다. 또한 변화하는 노면상태에 따라 달라지는 차간거리를 이용하여 기상상황에 따른 노면상태 별 최적안전거리를 산정하였다. 습윤노면상태에서의 최적안전거리는 건조노면상태에 비해 약 1.7배가 늘어났으며, 적설노면상태에서의 최적안전거리는 건조노면상태에 비해 약 5.6배가 늘어났다.
