본 연구의 목적은 학교도서관과 공공도서관의 협력강화를 위하여 협력사례를 조사$.$분석하여, 학교도서관 활성화를 위한 제도적 기반을 조성하고 이용자 서비스 내실화 방안을 마련하는데 있다. 연구방법으로는 전국을 5개 권역으로 나누고, 각 권역별로 공공도서관과 학교도서관의 협력사례를 조사하기 위한 워크숍을 통하여, 학교도서관, 공공도서관, 교육청 관계자들로부터 의견을 수집하여 분석하였다. 결과는 제도적인 측면, 인적자원의 문제, 콘텐츠 및 서비스 문제를 중심으로 분석하여, 이를 근거로 3가지 협력 모델을 개발하였다. 학교도서관-공공도서관 협력 모델은 학교도서관과 공공도서관이 발달한 대도시에 적합하며, 공공도서관의 학교도서관 지원 모델은 학교도서관이 열악한 중소도시에 적합하며, 학교도서관-공공도서관 통합 모델은 학교도서관과 공공도서관 모두가 열악한 농어촌 지역에 적합하다. 하지만, 현재의 지역적 상황이 모두 다르기 때문에 상황에 적합한 모델을 채택하여 시범 운영할 필요가 있으며, 이를 수정 보완하여 적합한 모델을 적용시켜야 한다.

본 연구의 목적은 최근 주목받고 있는 병영도서관 설립과 운영을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 있다. 연구 방법으로 관련 문헌 및 정책자료 분석, 병영도서관 방문 현황 조사와 병사 면담 등을 이용되었으며, 병영도서관의 역사와 조직, 시설규모, 예산, 장서, 인력 현황과 이용자의 요구 등이 분석되었다. 연구의 결과 이용자 요구를 반영하는 병영도서관 운영과 서비스가 이루어지지 않고 있음이 확인되었고, 이를 토대로 현재 병영도서관 환경을 반영한 운영 모델과 병영도서관 발전을 위한 정책 방안 등을 제시하였다.

This study aims to present an improved model of the organizational structure for national university libraries in Korea. The results of this study are as follows : 1. A small scale library serving to a population of less than 15,000 should be organized with a staff of 50-60 persons, 3 departments and 10-13 sections (3 departments and 9-12 sections of central library + 1 section of branch library) 2. A medium scale library serving to 15,000-25,000 population should be organized with a staff of 80-120 persons, an associate librarian, 5-6 departments and 18-21 sections (4-5 departments and 15-18 sections of central library + 1 department and 3 sections of branch library) 3. A large scale library serving to a population of over 25,000 should be organized with a staff of 140-170 persons, an associate librarian, 7-8 departments and 25-28 sections (5-6 department and 20-21 sections of central library + 2 departments and 6 sections of branch libraries)

This thesis is to discuss and prove the identity of the acts of the library and the character of the library which regards these as its objects. And this study is analyzed in view of per ceptual problems and scientific problems and scientific problems, in order to make clear the character of the acts of the library. In these processes, some basic propositions are extracted. First, culture can be found in arranged order. Second, human being can create culture by the acquisition of accmulated culture. Third, an individual is purposely related with culture. Fourth, culture is antonomous to mankind. And in this thesis, library science is defined as the systematic formation of mankind's pursuing acts, and to identify this definition, some theoretical models of library science have been offered as follows : Model I 1. Theory of making culture assets informative. 2. Theory of making culture assets empirical; that of imformation treatment. 3. Theory of medial acts of librarians. Model II 4. Theory of organic systems of libraries. Model III 5. Theory of guiding school activities. 6. Theory of extending the inhabitants' interests of communities. 7. Theory of a kind of resources in social improvement. Model IV 8. Theory of a means of principal approach to the succession of culture. In conclusion, this study is to prove that acts of libraries are the universal ones of those human being that are gualified to be the unique means to the creation of culture and, library science is a science that shapes concepts and rules to describe, to make explanation and to foretell these acts.

이 연구는 RFID 시스템의 도서관 적용에 어떠한 요인들이 영향을 미치는 가를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 유비쿼터스 핵심 기술인 RFID와 RFID 시스템의 도서관 적용에 관한 이론적 고찰을 통하여 정보기술수용모형 이론을 기반으로 인지된 유용성, 인지된 용이성, RFID 시스템의 도서관 적용 의도를 연구모형의 핵심으로 설정하고 사회적 영향, 인지된 위험, 직무 적합성, 지원, 자기 효능감 등을 주요 외부변수로 확장하여 이론적 연구모형을 개발하였다. 이 이론적 연구모형을 바탕으로 실증연구를 수행하여 RFID 시스템의 도서관 적용의 영향요인을 제시하였다.

도서관의 사회적 역할이 자료보존과 자료제공 기능에서 교육적 기능과 지역공동체형성의 기능으로 옮겨가고 있다. 이에 따라 사서의 역할에서 사회 교육적 기능이 중요해지고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 배경에서 도서관 아동교육프로그램에서 아동의 흥미를 제고시키고 주체적 학습자가 되도록 하는데 유용하다고 판단된 구성주의 교수학습관점에서 도서관 아동교육프로그램의 교육자모델을 설계하였다. 교육자의 역할은 모델링(modeling), 코칭(coaching), 스케폴딩(scaffolding)으로 구성하였다. 이러한 모델에 기초하여 서울과 수도권 소재 5개의 도서관 아동교육프로그램 사례를 관찰 조사하였다. 이들 사례에 대해 교육적 관점에서 공공도서관의 아동교육프로그램의 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다.

Effectiveness is a major concern in organizations of all sorts. Library researchers have been particularly active recently in trying to define, measure, and promote library effectiveness. The purpose of this study is to place library effectiveness in the context of theoretical and empirical work on organizational effectiveness. Four major approaches to organizational effectiveness can be identified. The goal model defines an effective organizations as one that meets its goals. The system resource model emphasizes the organization's need to acquire resources from its environment. The process model sees organizations as social systems seeking to survive and maintain their equilibrium. The multiple constituencies defines effectiveness as the degree to which the needs and expectations of strategic constituencies are met. These models are not necessarily contradictory but may be seen as emphasizing different aspects of organizational performance or values. This study also reports four findings of the library effectiveness. They are significant as the empirical investigation into the dimensions of the construct of library effectiveness. The result shows that organizational effectiveness of libraries is, indeed, a multidimensional construct, implying that no single measure of effectiveness is sufficient to describe an organization.

이 연구는 학교도서관컨설팅 장학 모형을 구안하고 학교도서관 문제진단을 위한 평가지표를 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 학교도서관은 공교육 시설로서 단위학교의 교육목표로부터 국가수준의 교육목표 달성에 이바지해야 한다. 학교도서관이 학교도서관교육의 질을 향상시키고 학교교육을 개선해야 하는 책무성을 가지고 있다고 할 때, 학교도서관교육을 위한 컨설팅 장학과 평가가 필요하다. 이에 7개의 구성요소로 학교도서관컨설팅 장학 모형을 구안하였고, 시 도교육청 평가, 학교평가, 학교도서관평가 영역과 지표를 분석하고 종합하여 6개의 평가영역과 72개의 평가지표를 제시하였다. 평가기관은 자관 교육목표에 따라 제시된 평가지표를 취사선택하여 사용할 수 있으며, 평가결과를 컨설팅 장학에 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

지식과 정보를 저장하고 전달하는 매체의 발달과 기술의 진보는 도서관의 기능을 다각적으로 변모시키고 있다. 즉 도서관은 전통적 도서관에서 발전하여 이용자가 도서관을 방문할 필요 없이 컴퓨터를 매개로 하여 자관의 전자정보는 물론 원거리의 도서관에 직접 접근하여 원하는 정보를 얻게 되는 전자도서관으로 향하고 있다. 본 연구는 전자도서관 서비스를 지향하는 관점에서 어느 정도 국내 대학도서관에서 전자정보를 구성, 활용하고 있는지를 알아보았다. 이를 위해 외국에서의 전자도서관 구축현황을 살펴 본 후 OPAC, 온라인 상용 데이터베이스, CD-ROM 데이터베이스, 전자문헌구축, 타 도서관 OPAC에의 접근, 기타 인터넷 정보자원을 그 구성요인으로 하여 모형을 제시하고 이를 토대로 국내 대학도서관의 실제 현황을 조사분석하였다.

웹 3.0의 개념과 실체에 대한 논의와 함께 도서관 3.0의 개념과 실체에 대한 논의도 최근 몇 년 동안 여러 학자들과 현장 전문가들에 의해 진행되어 온 것을 알 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 도서관 3.0을 바라보는 다양한 논의들을 분석하고 도서관 3.0의 개념을 정리하고자 하며, 이를 기반으로 한 도서관 3.0 서비스 모형을 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 제안된 도서관 3.0 서비스의 키워드는 기계에 의한 데이터 처리가 가능한 시맨틱 웹 기술과 소셜 네트워킹 서비스가 전자도서관에 적용되어 '진정한 지식 공유 및 협업'이 가능한 소셜시맨틱디지털도서관, 도서관의 자원이 Linked Data가 되어 전 세계의 도서관이 연결된 구조의 링키드 도서관, 그리고 RFID 및 모바일기술이 적용된 유비쿼터스적 모바일 도서관이다.
