In this paper, we propose a novel reconfigurable antenna that can change the electrical shape of the matching network using RF switches of PIN diodes. The designed antenna operates at two different modes that are Mode 1 (HSDPA band, 2.1~2.2 GHz) and Mode 2(WiBro WiFi band, 2.3~2.5 GHz). The antenna is built on both sides of a polyarcylate substrate. The measured reflection coefficient shows a matching bandwidth of 547 MHz($S_{11}$ <-3 dB, 2.035~2.582 GHz) for Mode 1 and 600 MHz($S_{11}$ <-3 dB, 2.2~2.8 GHz) for Mode 2, and it shows average vertical gains of -4.4 dBi and -4.5 dBi in x-y plane, respectively.
In this paper, a 26GHz variable gain amplifier fabricated using a 40nm CMOS process is studied. In the case of an automobile radar using 79 GHz, it is advantageous in designing and driving to drive down to a low frequency band or to use a low frequency band before up conversion rather than designing and matching the entire circuit to 79 GHz in terms of frequency characteristics. In the case of a Phased Array System that uses time delay through TTD (True Time Delay) in practice, down conversion to a lower frequency is advantageous in realizing a real time delay and reducing errors. For a VGA (Variable Gain Amplifier) operating in the 26GHz frequency band that is 1/3 of the frequency of 79GHz, VDD : 1V, Bias 0.95V, S11 is designed to be <-9.8dB (Mea. High gain mode) and S22 < (Mea. high gain mode), Gain: 2.69dB (Mea. high gain mode), and P1dB: -15 dBm (Mea. high gain mode). In low gain mode, S11 is <-3.3dB (Mea. Low gain mode), S22 <-8.6dB (Mea. low gain mode), Gain: 0dB (Mea. low gain mode), P1dB: -21dBm (Mea. Low gain mode).

Based on the experiment for the frequency characteristics and the feedback theory of the impinging-tones, the unstable characteristics of the symmetric mode is analyzed among the various unstable modes of circular impinging jets. There are two different symmetric modes; one is the low-frequency mode S1 due to the vortex at the outside of the jet and the high-frequency mode S2 due to the inside vortex. Each mode has its own characterictics of convection speed decreasing with frequency.
A new method of multiple damage detection in beam like structures is introduced. The mode shapes of both healthy and damaged structures are used in damage detection process (DDP). Multiple Damage Localization Index Based on Mode Shapes (MDLIBMS) is presented as a criterion in detecting damaged elements. A finite element modeling of structures is used to calculate the mode shapes parameters. The main advantages of the proposed method are its simplicity, flexibility on the number of elements and so the accuracy of the damage(s) position(s), sensitivity to small damage extend, capability in prediction of required number of mode shapes and low sensitivity to noisy data. In fact, because of differential and comparative form of MDLIBMS, using noise polluted data doesn't have major effect on the results. This makes the proposed method a powerful one in damage detection according to measured mode shape data. Because of its flexibility, damage detection process in multi span bridge girders with non-prismatic sections can be done by this method. Numerical simulations used to demonstrate these advantages.
This paper aims to evaluate the feasibility of using no-insulation High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) coil in persistent current mode system. A HTS coil in persistent current mode system usually includes one or more non-superconducting joints in its circuit. And the current decaying rate of the coil is affected by the resistance of joint in persistent current circuit. If the resistance of joint is large, decaying rate of the current drastically increases. Therefore, reducing the joint resistance of the HTS coil is very important in persistent current mode system. In this paper, the no-insulation HTS coil is suggested as a way to reduce the joint resistance with the embedded parallel contact resistance naturally made by no-insulation winding method. Two small coils are fabricated with insulation and no-insulation winding method, and persistent current mode system experiment of each coil is preformed and analyzed.

이 때 In 의 migration을 억제하기 위해서 VLS mode 의 GaAs NWs 보다 As의 공급을 10배 이상 하였다.
Aircraft midair collisions are dangerous events that can cause massive casualties. To prevent this, civil aviation has mandated the installation of TCAS (ACAS), which is becoming more sophisticated with the help of new technologies. However, there are institutional problems in collecting data for TCAS research in Korea, limiting the ability to obtain data for personal research. ADS-B and Mode-S automatic broadcast various information about the flight status of the aircraft. This data also contains information about TCAS RA, which can be used by anyone to find examples of TCAS RA operation. We used the databases of ADS-B Exchange and Opensky-Network to acquire data and visually represent three TCAS RA cases through Python coding. We also identified domestic TCAS cases in the first half of 2023 and analyzed their characteristics to confirm the usefulness of the data.
In presence of collision between two rigid bodies, they exhibit impulsive behavior to generate physically feasible state. When the frictional impulse is involved, collision resolution can not be easily made based on a simple Newton's law or Poisson's law, mainly due to possible change of collision mode during collision, For example, sliding may change to sticking, and then sliding resumes. We first examine two conventional methods: the method of mode evolution by differential equation, and the other by linear complementarity programming. Then, we propose a new method for mode evolution by solving only algebraic equations defining mode changes. Further, our method attains the original nonlinear impulse cone constraint. The numerical simulation will elucidate the advantage of the proposed method as an alternative to conventional ones.
