본 연구는 이동통신 정책변화에 따른 사업자간 경쟁양상을 분석하였다. 이동통신 시장은 시장진입이 제한적으로 한정된 사업자들이 독점 형태로 경쟁하게 된다. 이 과정에서 정부는 소비자의 권리보호 및 기업들 간의 유효경쟁체제를 위해 기업의 경제활동을 규제하는 역할을 해왔다. 그동안 이동통신시장에서의 정부규제에 대한 성과나 결과를 분석하는 많은 연구들이 있었지만 제도의 중첩으로 인한 복합적 양상을 분석하는 연구는 부족하였다. 이에 본 연구는 실제 데이터를 사용하여 제도의 중첩으로 인한 사업자 경쟁구도의 복합적 양상을 확인한 첫 연구라는 점에서 그 의의를 갖는다. 본 연구는 기업의 성과지표인 가입자 수, 번호이동자수, 매출액 등의 실증데이터를 사용하여 정책변화에 따른 통신사업자간 경쟁양상을 연구하였다. 연구결과 통신시장에 도입된 정부 정책은 시장경쟁 촉진과 고착화된 경쟁구도 완화에는 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤지만 통신사 재무성과 개선 측면에선 부정적인 영향이 있었음을 확인하였다. 특히 단통법은 이동통신사간 유입영향력 차이를 줄이며 시장 안정화를 유도하고 MVNO의 점유율 상승에 발판을 마련하는 등의 긍정적인 효과도 있지만, 일정 기간 이후 기존 MNO 사업자의 영향력이 증가하여 MVNO의 경쟁력이 약화되는 부정적 변화를 확인하였다.

The mobile telecommunication service industry plays major role of the realization to the perfect information society in the 21st century and has a great influence in society and culture. The government has enticed the mobile company to keep up to make the mobile service fee low. In this situation, this paper estimates consumer surplus and price elasticity with on-line survey data from the consumer of mobile service. The total estimated consumer surplus of the market is reached to 6.43trillion won. The consumer surplus from SKT is estimated to 4.98trillion won and 1.66trillion won and 0.67trillion won was made by KTF and LGT respectively. The result also shows that consumer surplus is expected to be increased by the increase of the mobile service demand and the sales.

본 논문에서는 이동통신망의 SMS 방식을 이용하여 소용량 변전기기인 주상 변압기의 상태를 진단함으로써 발생 가능한 변압기의 사고를 사전에 방지할 수 있는 시스템에 관하여 연구하였다. 변압기의 전류와 온도를 취득하여, 과부하 상태의 값들을 평균과 표준편차로 정리하여 보내는 방식의 무선진단에 적합한 알고리즘 및 프로토콜을 설계하였다. 이동통신망의 SMS방식을 이용하여 유선의 단점인 설치장소에 대한 장애를 없앴다. 또한, 1대의 서버로 많은 수의 변압기를 관리, 제어, 모니터링이 가능하도록 하였다.

In this paper, we estimate consumers' preferences for the key attributes of the future mobile telecommunication terminal using conjoint analysis. For statistical model, we estimate the mixed legit model which can reflect the heterogeneity of consumers' preferences, using the Bayesian approach with Gibbs sampling. The results show that there are large variations in consumers' preferences for the attributes of the future mobile telecommunication terminal, which justifies our using of mixed logit model. Also, the results show that most consumers prefer the medium size display and keyboard as input equipment. Additionally, far from general prediction, the results show that many consumers are indifferent to whether the future mobile telecommunication terminal is able to provide high quality internet service or not, and to operate many application programs and programs originally designed for PC. From those results, we can obtain some important implications for the R＆D strategies. Additionally, the results on the heterogeneity of consumers' preferences reveal that it is possible that the complete device convergence may not happen.

WiBro는 IEEE 802.16에 이동성을 추가한 것으로서 현재 IPv4만을 지원하는데, IPv6를 적용할 경우 발생할 수 있는 문제점들은 최근에 이르러서야 이슈가 되고 있다. WiBro MAC은 IP 프로토콜 설계시 기본이 되는 이더넷과 많은 차이점이 존재한다. 망 구성요소들의 점대다(point-to-multipoint) 연결 형태와 상향링크 멀티캐스트 불가능으로 인해 정상적인 IP 멀티캐스팅/브로드캐스팅 동작이 어렵기 때문이다. 또한 이더넷과 같이 48비트 MAC 주소를 사용하는 것이 아니라 16비트 CID를 사용하기 때문에 IPv6를 적용할 경우 IPv6 Address Auto-Configuration, Neighbor Discovery, Duplicate Address Detection, Multicast Listener Discovery 등에서 정상적인 동작이 불가능하다. 이에 본 논문은 WiBro의 IPv6에서 MLD 프로토콜 적용방안과 무선자원을 효과적으로 사용하는 방법을 제시한다.

Economists have advocated that the privatization and market competitiveness improve the firm's productivity and eventually its service quality. However, the previous researches did not provide the empirical results enough to prove that the privatization and competitiveness do improve the service quality. In this paper, we conducted an empirical research to find whether the privatization and competition induces the quality of service. The mobile telecommunication industry was chosen since it went through bringing the privatization and increasing the competition along with a high attention. We found that the privatization and competition itself does not guarantee the quality of mobile telecommunication service. It is the intensity of competition that improves the mobile telecommunication service quality. The service quality depends mainly on the competitor's competence, i.e. the intensity of competition rather than the competition itself. In sum, when we want to improve the service quality as well as the productivity, we had better increase the intensity of competition by allowing many new strong entries.

Consumer needs becomes various in a mature mobile telecommunication market, while service differentiation is hard to achieve. The competition among telecommunication service providers is getting fierce in order to maintain and obtain customers. Moreover, HSDPA caused the intense marketing activity for the move to the next generation customers. Under these circumstances, brand equity can be a key to a long-term competitive edge for mobile phone service providers. In this study, we identified the factors influencing mobile telecommunication brand equity, and its influence on the HSDPA service subscription behavior.

최근 모바일산업은 급격하게 발전하고 있다. 이러한 경쟁은 날로 더 심화되고 있으며 이동통신사들은 이러한 경쟁에서 살아남기 위한 생존경쟁이 치열하다. 본 연구에서는 모바일기기의 속성과 고객만족간의 관계를 살펴봄으로써 이동통신사들의 생존전략에 기여하고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 모바일기기의 속성과 고객만족간의 영향관계를 살펴보고자 한다.

As well as the development of the measurement of service quality, various kinds of service measurements are also being developed. Especially the mobile telecommunication service being representative to the mobile telecommunication company would be the mostly developed area. Its development can be understood along with the development of the telecommunication companies as well as cellular companies, not only the service alone. It is a differentiated phenomenon in the current research, such as the organic influence between the service quality and product. Of course there are such products placed on sale and enjoyed the common service, but at present there is another case that the product is on the market exclusively with the mobile company in here. This article is to estimate service efficiency for Mobile Communication and Cellular company. In this paper, We tried to measure the service quality and overall satisfaction by using Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA), degree of combination and top2box which is a little bit different methodology from traditional ones. This paper uses CCR model in DEA to measure service efficiency in the Mobile Communication.

최근에는 인터넷 기술과 이동통신 산업을 접목하여 활용을 넓혀 보고자 하는 시도들이 진행되고 있으며, 그 중 대표적인 것이 위치기반서비스(LBS :Location Based Service)이다. 현재 위치기반서비스의 통신 체계에 대해 3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project)와 3GPP2를 중심으로 표준화가 진행 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 국내 위치기반서비스를 제공하는 통신망 표준화 및 개발에 기여하기 위해 국제 표준기구인 3GPP와 3GPP2의 통신 체계를 상호 비교 분석한다. 이를 위해 대표적인 2세대 통신망인 GSM(Global System for Mobile)과 ANSI (America National Standard Institute)-41/PCS1900과, 3세대 통신망인 UMTS(Universal Mobile Telecommunication System)와 cdma2000 통신망에서 위치기반서비스를 제공하기 위한 망 모델과 인터페이스를 고찰하고, 주요 세부 기능별로 위치기반서비스 관련 장비 요소를 상호 비교 분석한다.
