Recently, it is emerging in computing industry related ubiquitous. Also U-Healthcare system develops rapidly based on this trends. It is required system of health-status information to check user's health information on real-time and wireless network environment. Consequently, in this paper propose a health-Information system based on wireless and real-time environment. It can check a tremor pulse with method of photo-plethysmography. It convert pulse state information into 2-dimension bar code in order to confirm health information using mobile and also this system provide service of pulse visual record and explanation from specialist with MMS.

We propose a performance analysis of code division multiple access systems based on the combination of M-ary and pseudo-noise spreading. In spite of the total bandwidth expansion being equal, there is a difference in the system performance by the combination of M-ary and pseudo-noise spreading. The proposed analysis uses each bandwidth expansion, caused by M-ary and pseudo-noise spreading, rather than the total bandwidth expansion. If the signal to interference plus noise ratio becomes high, it is more effective to reduce biterror rate by bandwidth expansion of M-ary modulation rather than that of pseudo-noise spreading. Since the proposed analysis reflects the effect of the M-ary modulation, the bit error rate from the proposed analysis is closer to the results of the simulation than from the conventional analysis.
This paper presents a new algorithm on low power survivor path memory implementation of the trace-back systolic array Viterbi algorithm. A novel idea is to reuse the already-generated trace-back routes to reduce the number of trace-back operations. And the spurious switching activity of the trace-back unit is reduced by making use of a clock gating method. Using the SYNOPSYS power estimation tool, DesignPower, our experimental result shows the average $40{\%}$ power reduction and $23{\%}$ area increase against the trace-back unit introduced in [1].

Smart antennas will be used mon widely for the higher data rate and the larger number of users as the demand of wireless multimedia service is increased. Therefore, the BER performance is analyzed in this paper for DS-CDMA and MC-CDMA systems using smart antennas. A reverse link channel is simulated assuming the frequency selective Rayleigh fading. The simulation results are presented based on the characteristics of DS-CDMA and MC-CDMA systems according to the signal spectrum bandwidth and the method of adaptive beamforming. The BER performances of both systems are improved as the beam width of smart antennas is decreased. Also, it is shown that the performance of MC-CDMA system is much better than that of DS-CDMA system as the number of users is increased.

This paper proposes a new approach to technology valuation, the market-replacement cost approach which integrates the cost-based approach and market-based approach. The proposed approach estimates the market-replacement cost of a target technology using R&D costs of similar R&D projects previously conducted. Similar R&D projects are extracted from project database based on document similarity between project proposals and technology description of the target technology. R&D costs of similar R&D projects are adjusted by mirroring the rate of technological obsolescence and inflation. Market-replacement cost of the technology is then derived by calculating the weighted average of adjusted costs and similarity values of similar R&D projects. A case of "Prevention method and system for the diffusion of mobile malicious code" is presented to illustrate the proposed approach.
Many distributed and heterogeneous services and devices are accessible in ubiquitous computing environment, so interoperating those services and devices is one of the key tasks in implementing ubiquitous applications. We used to use script languages in integrating such interoperating components and services. However currently available most script languages are not suitable for ubiquitous environment because there are so diverse forms of interoperation targets such as service objects, web, legacy objects and programmable devices. So it is worthwhile designing a new script language well-suited to ubiquitous environment. In this paper, we propose a new script language, called Ubiscript, for the ubiquitous environment. We develop and adopt several unique language features such as remote scope, multiple contexts, web and legacy objects, remote exception handling, etc. in Ubiscript to overcome the limitations of conventional script languages. In this paper, we also describe the implementation of Ubiscript and its runtime system. A couple of ubiquitous applications were developed in Ubiscript, and the applications are tested on the runtime system. According to our experiences and evaluation, Ubiscript turned out to have a high potential in its expression power and contribution to improving ubiquitous application developers' productivity.
Long-term evolution (LTE) is emerging as a major candidate for 4G cellular networks to satisfy the increasing demands for mobile broadband services, particularly multimedia delivery. Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology combined with orthogonal frequency division multiple access and more efficient modulation/coding schemes (MCS) are key physical layer technologies in LTE networks. However, in order to fully utilize the benefits of the advances in physical layer technologies, the MIMO configuration and MCS need to be dynamically adjusted to derive the promised gains of 4G at the application level. This paper provides a performance evaluation of video traffic with variations in the physical layer transmission parameters to suit the varying channel conditions. A quantitative analysis is provided using the perceived video quality as a video quality measure (evaluated using no-reference blocking and blurring metrics), as well as transmission delay. Experiments are performed to measure the performance with changes in modulation and code rates in poor and good channel conditions. We discuss how an adaptive scheme can optimize the performance over a varying channel.

Since a new entrant in the telecommunications market requires time in order to construct its own network, a requirement on the incumbent operator to implement carrier selection and pre-selection can enable a new entrant to immediately attract customers and earn revenue. Carrier selection can normally be accomplished in two ways, on a call-by-call basis or through carrel pre-selection. Call-by-call selection allows customers to choose a new entrant rather than the incumbent carrier using a specific code designated to the new carrier each time a call is made. Carrier Pre-Selection, on the other hand, allows customers directly connect to the network of one provider to have access automatically to another company's services when they pick up the phone to make certain types of calls. The carrier pre-selection option is generally considered to be a second regulatory step following the implementation of the call-by-call carrier selection option. Carrier pre-selection with the ability to override on a call-by-call basis for long distance, international, local, and fixed-to-mobile calls has now been implemented in many EU countries. This paper attempts to identify the issues in introducing CPS and to draw policy implications from other countries' experiences.

Transmitted data may be compensated by using estimated channel values that are obtained with pilot symbols in OFDM-CDMA systems. Generally, a USE (Minimum Mean-Squared Error) estimator using correlations between pilot symbols gives good results, but its structure is so complicated. Starting with a modification of PA (Pilot-Aided) algorithm using pilot symbols and PADD (Pilot-Aided Decision-Directed) algorithm using both pilot and data symbols, a new channel estimation algorithm with more simpler structure is proposed. The performance of this algorithm is evaluated with varying mobile speed in a Ralyleigh multipath fading environment through computer simulations. The simulation results show that the proposed channel estimation algorithm outperforms a conventional PA algorithm.
In this paper, we present an improved multicarrier direct sequence (DS) code division multiple access (CDMA) scheme by modifying the system originally proposed by Kondo and Milstein [13]. In this modified system, different spreading sequences multiplied by a data sequence modulate different carriers. This is to prevent the multiple access capability from reducing when the fading characteristics of different carrier frequencies are highly correlated. We have derived a formula which determines the mean values of the relative received signal strength in a single carrier DS CDMA rake system and in a multicarrier DS-CDMA system. We present results on the comparison of the bit error rate (BER) performance of the two systems including the effect of correlation between fading characteristics of different frequencies under various multipath fading conditions. The results indicate that with 50 users the modified multicarrier DS CDMA system can achieve an uncoded irreducible BER of $1.7{\times}10^{-3}$ with an average received signal-to-noise ratio per bit of 10dB, which is better that $3.0{\times}10^{-3}$ achieved by the single carrier DS CDMA rake system, and also show that if multicarrier CDMA system is used with respect to single carrier CDMA system, the SNR gain is up to 4.5 dB for the uncode BER of $10^{-3}$ being achieved.
