  • In this paper, we propose a mobility management scheme which has a simple IP emulation method based on virtual interface. This scheme supports prevention of service abortion resulting from RAT (Radio Access Technology) interface switching during vertical handover and provides mobility management convenience according to maintenance of consistency in simple IP mobility management scheme of 3rd generation mobile network. Through the empirical experiments of proposed method, we check out the improvement of handover performance of the proposed scheme based on vertical handover latency comparing with a non-virtual interface system.

  • In this paper, a controller using fuzzy-genetic algorithms is proposed for pat-tracking of WMR. A fuzzy controller is implemented so as to adjust appropriate crossover rate and mutation rate. A genetic algorithms is also implemented to have adaptive adjustment of control gain during optimizing process. To check effectiveness of this algorithms, computer simulation is applied.

  • This study was intended to analyze the present condition and problems of education by examining the curriculum of departments relating to IT design in community colleges in the environment of IT that more rapidly grew than any other sector due to the development of information and communication and smart device, focusing on the actual condition. And it was intended to present a scheme for the improvement of IT design curriculum in community colleges in preparation for the surveyed industry demand in IT sector. First of all, this study attempted to check how IT designers' work changed according to the change of technology in industrial scene through a survey of job in IT industry and an analysis of IT industry trends. As a result, it was shown that the work of IT designers who had carried out web design work extended to mobile design, and school education also required mobile education according to the change of the times. Here, through task analysis, it was possible to find that web design and mobile design was not fundamentally entirely different, but was within the range where it was perfectly possible to carry out mobile design work if mobile environment and condition was understood and an education was given together with the existing curriculum.

  • As the use of school buses becomes more common, related laws are being enacted, such as making it mandatory for children to check school bus dropouts due to frequent accidents caused by the negligence of school bus drivers and their guardians. In this paper, we propose a safe school bus system that links efficient radio-frequency identification (RFID) and mobile APP in terms of energy utilization and cost. The school bus system uses RFID cards to check information on children boarding the school bus, and real-time SMS transmission allows parents to safely send their children to and from school. Instructors on the school bus can check their children's disembarkation information once more through APP, preventing various accidents that may occur to children left on the bus. Due to the automation of the school bus operation log, daycare center teachers can not only check the information on getting on and off, but also manage the information on the attendance and discharge of the students.

  • This paper deals with generating multi-ped mobile robot's optimal path and its simulation. The multi-ped robot has six-legs which make it possible to move actively by attached driving wheel at the end of legs. The simulation environment is created similarly to the indoor environment as simple obstacles and walls. Also simulator can reconstruct an simulation environment. In this paper, the suggested simulator can generate the optimal path from starting point to destination by applying the A* algorithm and Bug2 algorithm. Then it is possible to check algorithms as 3D screen and we can simulate under the generated path.

  • Telematics, which is a compound word of a telecommunication and informatics, provides drivers with useful driving information such as driving path guidance, accident or robbery detection, traffic conditions and other valuable data at real time. This paper proposes and implements how to build a telematics terminal equipped with CDMA and GPS running embedded Linux, to check a vehicle's state through communication between telematics server and vehicle terminals using a cellular phone and to control a vehicle using SMS as shown in Figure 1. In order to do this, we use the SK-VM platform which is mobile terminal platform based on JAVA to design, implement and evaluate it.

  • With wireless network infrastructure, the number of smart-phone users is remarkably increasing in the world and the amounts of damage due to the smart-phone malwares are also raised. Many security solutions for wireless network have come into the market but these solutions are for companies or large enterprises, therefore, the public users of smart-phone don't feel easy to select as their solutions and it is difficult to detect unknown malwares. In this paper, we propose the mobile security diagnostic system for public smart-phone users, which provides functions like smart-phone system check, comparison with blacklist of applications and collecting malwares.

  • Airborne particulate matter(PM) has been a global environmental problem. PM whose diameter is smaller than 10 ㎛ can permeate respiratory organs and has harmful effects on human health. Therefore, PM monitoring systems are necessary for management of PM and prevention of PM-induced negative effects. Conventional PM monitoring techniques are expensive and cumbersome to handle. In the present study, two types of PM monitoring devices were designed for measuring indoor PM concentration, portably. We experimentally investigated the performance of three commercial PM concentration measurement sensors in a closed test chamber. As a result, PM2008 sensor showed the best PM concentration measurement accuracy. Linear regression method was applied to convert PM concentration value acquired from PM2008 sensor into ground truth value. A mobile application(app.) was also created for users to check the PM concentration, easily. The mobile app. also provides safety alarm when the PM10 concentration exceeds 81 ㎛/m3. The developed hand-held system enables the facile monitoring of surrounding air quality.

  • Ship can be faced with more dangerous situations than ground vehicles due to the opened surroundings, sea. Therefore, it is very important to prevent the ship emergency by finding risk factor. In this paper, We propose context-aware monitoring system which that frequently check the condition of ship using the data that get through the installed sensor in the ship as gyro-sensor, strain-gage sensor. We analyzed sensor data through backpropagation algorithm and the Condition and Safety Information of sailing ship is transmitted to the crew's personal mobile device in the ship. Thus, moving crew can check the ship's condition in real time. As a result, we obtained about 95% accuracy for fire risk context and about 89% accuracy for body of Ship risk context in the simulated experiments.

In addition, the nonlinear model, the dynamic characteristics of the mobile robot control method of adaptive fuzzy control techniques in the design that you want to fully reflect Non-holonomic system of mobile robots and solve sleep problems, and will be useful enough, it was verified through computer simulations.
