  • Mobile banking service has emerged as an important profit source for both banks and mobile phone service companies. However, the growth of the mobile banking service is behind the expectation of banks and mobile phone companies. One plausible explanation for this laggard diffusion of mobile banking may be the lack of consumers' initial trust on the service. Therefore, this study investigates the critical factors in building trust and intention to use mobile banking services. Our research results show that propensity-to-trust, structural assurance, and relative advantages of services have significant impacts on consumers' initial trust in mobile banking service Furthermore, initial trust in mobile banking service is a critical factor for adopting mobile banking services Contrary to our expectation, however, reputation of banks and mobile phone companies are not significant in attracting consumers to mobile banking services.

Among the change, financial institutes and consumers are interested in mobile banking services. This study attempted to investigate the impact of service convenience value on customer satisfaction and re-usage intention, and investigated the moderate effect of technology anxiety in the relationship between service convenience value and mobile banking service usage. For this study, data were gathered from respondents who have experience using mobile banking service and analyzed by structural equation model. A convenience value affected consumer satisfaction and re-usage intention toward mobile banking service. Also, this study found that the more technology anxiety, the less re-usage intention. The results show that management and investment to improve convenience value and to reduce technology anxiety make consumers' satisfaction and re-usage intention toward mobile banking service.

  • While a great body of information systems (IS) literature has discussed mobile banking (m-banking) services, most of these studies have focused on the adoption or acceptance phases of this technology; with little attention was given to users' intension to continue using such technology. This paper aims at investigating the most important factors that predict users' continuous intension to use m-banking services in the post-adoption phase. This paper presents a conceptualization and validation of an extended expectation-confirmation model (ECM). A total of 303 Kuwaiti users of m-banking services participated in this study. Partial least squares (PLS) of structure equation modelling (SEM) technique was used to analyze the data. The results mainly showed that users' continuous intension to use m-banking services is significantly influenced by perceived trust, satisfaction, self-efficacy, performance expectancy and effort expectancy. Theoretical and practical contributions as well as the research limitations and future directions are discussed.

This paper is an empirical investigation of the determinants of the intention to use smartphone-based mobile banking services. The determinants are grouped into two categories including personal factors and social influence factors. We conducted an empirical analysis using 751 survey responses collected from present users of mobile banking services. The results of the analysis reveal that all the personal factors have positive relationships with the intention to use mobile banking services. On the other hand, it was found that of the social influence factors, perceived herding behavior has significantly positive relationship with the intention to use smartphone-based services, whereas subjective norm is not significantly related to the intention. A total of 211 valid responses were collected from Mongolian university students who currently use mobile banking application services from local banks. The SmartPLS 3.3 software was used to conduct the confirmatory factor analysis and test the hypotheses. Using structural equation modelling, this research discovered that access convenience, transaction convenience, and possession/post-possession convenience are the main constructs related to the adoption of mobile banking services. Perceived innovation showed a significant positive effect on the adoption of mobile banking technologies. Through practical and theoretical implications, this research aims to assist mobile banking service channels of local and international banks in Mongolia.
