Accelerated Generation Algorithm for an Elemental Image Array Using Depth Information in Computational Integral Imaging

  • In this paper, an accelerated generation algorithm to effectively generate an elemental image array in computational integral imaging system is proposed. In the proposed method, the depth information of 3D object is extracted from the images picked up by a stereo camera or depth camera. Then, the elemental image array can be generated by using the proposed accelerated generation algorithm with the depth information of 3D object. The resultant 3D image generated by the proposed accelerated generation algorithm was compared with that the conventional direct algorithm for verifying the efficiency of the proposed method. From the experimental results, the accuracy of elemental image generated by the proposed method could be confirmed.

An Effect of Gaming Behavior by Mobil Game User on Intention of Continuous Usage (모바일게임 이용자의 게임 태도가 지속사용 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is to determine the relationship between gaming behaviors by mobile game users and intention of continuous use of games. A behavior is a reaction against some subject or event, and in general, it brings consistent action and predictable reaction. For this study, the survey has been performed to adult mobile game users over 20 years old in Korea and China, and the collected data have been used in the hierarchical multiple regression analysis using SPSS 20.0, the statistical package program. As a result of study, if gaming behaviors are not concerned, more male not from Korea (from China) showed higher intention of continuous use. Furthermore, as a result of evaluating the effect of gaming behaviors of mobile game users on intention of continuous use, cognitive behaviors and behavioral attitudes also showed significant positive correlation.

  • 최근 게임 시장은 모바일 분야의 급격한 성장과 더불어 많은 지각 변화가 일어나고 있다. 특히 많은 게임 엔진 제작사에서는 멀티 플랫폼을 지원하는 것이 큰 이슈가 되고 있다. 또한 많은 메이저 게임 개발사들도 하나의 플랫폼을 지원하는 게임이 아니라, 다양한 플랫폼을 지원하는 게임을 제작하기에 이르렀다. 이런 멀티 플랫폼이 주목받기 시작하면서 유니티 엔진 또한 주목받게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 멀티 플랫폼을 지원하는 유니티 게임 엔진을 이용하여 게임을 개발할 때 필요한 객체지향 설계방향에 대해 설명한다.

  • This study emphasizes the need to understand digital transformation and addresses the development process of functional mobile games with the theme of digital transformation. Through previous research, we found that existing mobile games do not reflect the changes in industries and jobs in the future. In this study, we designed and developed an educational mobile game that can help young people develop digital literacy skills and understand core skills for future changes in industrial structure and jobs due to digital transformation. It utilizes Unity 3D and combines the best features of puzzle, card, and board games. While there may be limitations in terms of expertise in developing educational content, it is important to note that we have presented content that can provide a futuristic view of careers through a game that is highly preferred by students. Considering the direct and indirect educational effects of the game, it is expected to be useful as a vocational education content in the classroom through tablet devices that have recently been distributed in schools.

  • Human exchanges information not only through words, but also through body gesture or hand gesture. And they can be used to build effective interfaces in mobile, virtual reality, and augmented reality. The past 2D gesture recognition research had information loss caused by projecting 3D information in 2D. Since the recognition of the gesture in 3D is higher than 2D space in terms of recognition range, the complexity of gesture recognition increases. In this paper, we proposed a real-time gesture recognition deep learning model and application in 3D space using deep learning technique. First, in order to recognize the gesture in the 3D space, the data collection is performed using the unity game engine to construct and acquire data. Second, input vector normalization for learning 3D gesture recognition model is processed based on deep learning. Thirdly, the SELU(Scaled Exponential Linear Unit) function is applied to the neural network's active function for faster learning and better recognition performance. The proposed system is expected to be applicable to various fields such as rehabilitation cares, game applications, and virtual reality.

  • The interest in the service of 3D mobile contents becomes larger due to the technological advance of production and services of mobile contents and the appearance of the exclusive mobile phone for 3D game. Therefore, the researches about the efficient mobile services of large 3D contents are wanted in the circumstances of the narrow bandwidth and the burden of the connection charge of wireless mobile communications. In this paper, we suggest a strategy of caching for looking up and downloading the 3D marine characters efficiently and a system model for mobile service of 3D marine characters. The suggested system is designed for serving efficiently the high-quality 3D characters through the wireless mobile communications using the database on the 3D marine objects of cyber aquarium constructed for the services through the wired internet.

  • 최근 다양한 3차원 뎁스 센서의 등장은, 3차원 캐릭터가 사람의 움직임에 따라 실시간으로 애니메이션되도록 하였다. 하지만, 센서에 따라, 공간상의 뎁스를 얻는 방식이 다르며, 이 결과 캡처를 가능하는 센싱영역 또한 뎁스의 종류에 따라 많은 차이를 보여 왔다. 본 논문은 두 가지 방식의 멀티의 센서를 결합하여, 동시에 실시간으로 사용함으로서, 하나의 센서만을 사용했을 경우 얻을 수 없는 조인트에 대한 정보를 얻음으로서, 자세한 캐릭터에 대한 스켈레톤을 애니메이션 하는 방법을 제안한다.

  • Distance learning systems that teacher and learner(s) are located at remote have been in progress in a way that directly transfer the video and audio. To get the interest of learners and effectiveness of education or to overcome the poor network environment, various methods utilizing computer graphics in the distance learning system have been attempted. This paper describes a design and implementation of a distance learning system using 3D animation control technology based on Kinect and network game technology. Distance learning system designed and implemented in this paper is a good example of combining education and game technology. And I expect to be used at various educational contents in the future.

  • 최근 3D 모바일 게임이 이슈가 되고 있다. 휴대폰이 필수품인 시대가 왔고 휴대폰만 있으면 어디서든 게임을 즐길 수 있다는 점 때문에 모바일 게임 산업은 급속도로 발전하고 있다. 그리고 점차 모바일 환경이 하드웨어가 발전하고 3D 가 지원되는 게임 전용폰이 나오면서 모바일 3D 게임이 많이 개발되고 있다. 그러나 휴대폰의 기본 기능은 통화하는 것이니 만큼 PC 에서의 게임이나 플레이스테이션 같은 게임기와는 구조에 차이가 있다. 모바일 환경에서는 휴대폰 버튼만을 사용하여야 한다는 제약이 있다. 그래서 현재 출시된 여거 모바일 게임의 UI 와 기존 PC 게임의 UI 를 비교하고 휴대폰이라는 제한된 환경에서의 도시경영 3D 시뮬레이션 게임을 위한 효율적인 UI 를 만들고자 하였다. 휴대폰에서는 마우스를 사용할 수 없기 때문에 기본적인 게임 조작은 전부 버튼으로 조작할 수 있게 하였다. 그리고 도시경영시뮬레이션 게임이기 때문에 일반 아케이드 게임이나 캐주얼게임에 비해 상대적으로 메뉴가 많고 복잡하다. 그래서 사용자가 설명을 바로 보면서 메뉴를 선택할 수 있도록 메뉴선택은 전부 숫자버튼을 사용하였다. 그리고 사용자가 메뉴를 외우고 있지 않아도 사용가능 하도록 화면 위에 메뉴설명이 같이 나오게 하였다. 사용자는 메뉴별 설명을 보면서 원하는 쪽으로 선택을 하게 된다. 지역설정에서는 마우스의 드래그기능이 안되기 때문에 처음시작점과 끝부분을 선택하여 마우스를 대신하였다.
