  • It is well known that the PD (Partial Discharge) signals are generated if insulators have some defects such as voids in electrical facility and various PD detection methods are developed for preventing electrical troubles. So, an interest for the PD signals is higher and higher according to the high concern for the defects detection method of the aging electrical facility. When the equipment to detect PD signals installed at site and it works, a lot of noises flow in the equipment from surrounding situation and it will be mixed with original PD waveform. So we can not get the desired PD waveform. Therefore, there are many trial to reject or suppress the noise from the PD signals from long times ago. The greater of them used the hardware such as bridge circuits and frequency filters to suppress the noise. This paper proposed a novel noise rejection method in acquired data from PD detection equipment. The noise has the irregular phase and higher signal level than real PD, and noise decision is performed after inspection of pulse distribution in ${\Phi}$-q-n graph of acquired data from PD detection equipments. By experimental results on high voltage electric equipments, it is shown that proposed method has good performance. It is expected that this noise rejection technology is useful in numeric calculation and trend management of PD level.

PZT 압전 세라믹스를 사용한 2중 모우드 초음파 트랜스듀서 제작 (Fabrication of dual mode ultrasonic transducers with PZT piezoelectric ceramics)

  • Most of conventional ultrasonic transducers are constructed to generate either longitudinal or shear waves, but not both of them. We investigate the mechanism of dual mode transducers that generate both of the longitudinal and shear waves simultaneously with single PZT element. The study is aimed to find the optimally desired cut by examining the anisotropic piezoelectric properties. Theory predicts that a mixed P/S mode transducer can be constructed using a rotated Z-cut of PZT piezoelectric ceramics. We study the performance of a PZT element as a function of its rotation angle so that its efficiency is optimized to excite the two waves as much as equally strong. The results are verified by the waveform in pulse-echo computer simulation and experiments. When the transducer is subjected to impedance analysis, it shows two thickness mode resonances, each of which being a mixed P/S thickness mode. By examining wave speeds on E transmitter delay line receiver setup, it is confirmed that the transducer can transmit and detect both longitudinal and shear wave simultaneously.

  • Because an electric railway vehicle is a large scale moving load, it can cause various kinds of power quality problems in the railroad power system. The power quality impacts are considered as the strong instantaneous stresses to the related power systems and can cause an accelerating aging and a malfunction of the power supplying components. Therefore, it is necessary to detect the small and intermittent symptoms mixed in the voltage waveform. However, they cannot be detected by the triggering functions of the existing power analyzers installed in the railway systems. This paper will examine the drawback of some fast detection tools and propose an advanced detecting and analyzing method based on a combined TEO and STFT algorithm.

Evaluation of Radio-Frequency Performance of Gate-All-Around Ge/GaAs Heterojunction Tunneling Field-Effect Transistor with Hetero-Gate-Dielectric by Mixed-Mode Simulation

  • In this work, the frequency response of gate-all-around (GAA) Ge/GaAs heterojunction tunneling field-effect transistor (TFET) with hetero-gate-dielectric (HGD) and pnpn channel doping profile has been analysed by technology computer-aided design (TCAD) device-circuit mixed-mode simulations, with comparison studies among ppn, pnpn, and HGD pnpn TFET devices. By recursive tracing of voltage transfer curves (VTCs) of a common-source (CS) amplifier based on the HGD pnpn TFET, the operation point (Q-point) was obtained at $V_{DS}=1V$, where the maximum available output swing was acquired without waveform distortion. The slope of VTC of the amplifier was 9.21 V/V (19.4 dB), which mainly resulted from the ponderable direct-current (DC) characteristics of HGD pnpn TFET. Along with the DC performances, frequency response with a small-signal voltage of 10 mV has been closely investigated in terms of voltage gain ($A_v$), unit-gain frequency ($f_{unity}$), and cut-off frequency ($f_T$). The Ge/GaAs HGD pnpn TFET demonstrated $A_v=19.4dB$, $f_{unity}=10THz$, $f_T=0.487$ THz and $f_{max}=18THz$.

음원신호 추출을 위한 주파수영역 응용모델에 기초한 독립성분분석 (Independent Component Analysis Based on Frequency Domain Approach Model for Speech Source Signal Extraction)

  • 본 논문은 여러 음원신호가 혼합된 환경에서 목적으로 하는 음원신호만을 분리하기 위하여 마이크로폰을 사용한 블라인드 음원분리 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 독립성분분석 방법을 기반으로 한 주파수영역 표현모델이다. 따라서 2 음원에 대한 주파수영역 독립성분분석의 실제 환경에서의 유효성 검증을 목적으로, 음원의 종류를 변경하여 주파수영역 독립성분분석을 실행하여 음원분리를 실시하여 그 향상효과를 검증한다. 파형에 의한 실험결과로부터 원래의 파형과 비교하여 2채널의 음원신호를 깨끗하게 분리할 수 있음을 명확히 하였다. 또한 목표 신호 대 간섭 에너지비율을 사용하여 비교한 실험 결과로부터 본 논문에서 제안한 알고리즘의 음원분리 성능이 기존의 알고리즘에 비하여 성능이 향상되었다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Influence of SF6/N2 Gas Mixture Ratios on the Lightning Streamer Propagation Characteristics of 22 kV MV Circuit Breaker

  • In recent times, gas insulated medium voltage (MV) circuit breakers (CB) form a vital component in power system network, considering its advantages such as reduced size and safety margins. Gas insulation characteristics of circuit breakers are generally measured by lightning impulse (LI) test according to IEC standard 60060-1 as a factory routine test. Considering the environmental issues of $SF_6$ gas, many research works are being carried out towards the mixture of $SF_6$ gases for high voltage insulation applications. However, few reports are only available regarding the LI withstand and streamer propagation characteristics (at both positive and negative polarity of waveform) of $SF_6/N_2$ gas mixture insulated medium voltage circuit breakers. In this paper, positive and negative polarity LI tests are carried out on 22 kV medium voltage circuit breaker filled with $SF_6/N_2$ gas mixture at different gas pressures (1-5 bar) and at different gas mixture ratios. Important LI parameters such as breakdown voltage, streamer velocity, time to breakdown and acceleration voltage are evaluated with IEC standard LI ($1.2/50{\mu}s$) waveform. Weibull distribution analysis of LI breakdown voltage data is carried out and 50% probability breakdown voltage, scale parameter and shape parameter are evaluated. Results illustrate that the $25%SF_6+75%N_2$ gas filled insulation considerably enhances the LI withstand and breakdown strength of MV circuit breakers. LI breakdown voltage of circuit breaker under negative polarity shows higher value when compared with positive polarity. Results show that maintaining the gas pressure at 0.3 MPa (3 bar) with 10% $SF_6$ gas mixed with 90% $N_2$ will give optimum lighting impulse withstand performance of 22 kV MV circuit breaker.

  • 잡음이 존재하는 실제 환경에서 음성인식을 실시하는 경우에 음성인식의 성능 열화 및 음성의 품질이 저화되지 않는 강건한 음성인식 기술이 필요하다. 이러한 음성인식 기술을 개발함으로써 사람의 음성 스펙트럼과 유사한 잡음 환경에서도 안정되고 높은 음성인식률이 실현되는 어플리케이션이 요구된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 최소 평균 제곱의 오차를 기반으로 한 단시간 스펙트럼 진폭 방법인 MMSA-STSA 추정 알고리즘에 기초한 잡음억압을 처리하는 음성강조 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이 알고리즘은 단일 채널 입력에 기초한 효과적인 비선형 음성강조 알고리즘이며, 높은 잡음억제 성능을 가지고 있으며 음성의 통계적인 모델에 기초하여 음성의 왜곡량을 줄이는 기법이다. 본 실험에서는 MMSA-STSA 추정 알고리즘의 유효성을 확인하기 위하여 입력 음성파형과 출력 음성파형을 비교하여 제안한 알고리즘의 효과를 확인한다.

평직 CFRP 복합재료의 섬유 배열각도별 피로 균열 성장 평가 (Evaluation of Fatigue Crack Propagation Depending on Fiber Array Direction in Woven CFRP Composites)

  • 많은 연구자들이 평직 탄소섬유강화플라스틱에 대해서 연구해왔지만 피로 균열 진전에 관한 연구는 아직도 미지한 상태이다. 그리고 하중과 섬유 배열 각도에 따라 균열 진전 양상이 다름을 알 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 서로 다른 두 개의 섬유 배열각도($0^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$)에서 평직 탄소섬유강화플라스틱의 피로 균열 진전에 대해 연구하였다. 평직 탄소섬유강화플라스틱의 피로 균열 진전 테스를 하중비 0.1에 10Hz로 수행하였다. 그 시험 결과로써, 피로 균열 진전 속도(da/dN)와 에너지해방률(${\Delta}G$)과의 그래프를 도출하였고, 섬유 배열 각도에 따른 균열 진전 양상을 $0^{\circ}$의 경우에는 Mode I를 적용하였고, $45^{\circ}$의 경우에는 Mixed Mode를 적용하였다.

디지탈 직접 주파수 합성기를 이용한 16-QAM 변조기 설계 (A Design of 16-QAM Modulator by use of Direct Digital Frequency Synthesizer)

  • 고속 데이타를 전송하기 위하여 높은 스펙트럼 효율의 QAM 변조기를 설계하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 대표적인 16-QAM 변조기를 직접 디지탈 주파수 합성기(DDFS)를 응용하여 설계하였다. 직접 디지탈 주파수 합성기는 외부 주파수 설정에 의해 디지탈 방식으로 원하는 주파수의 정현파를 출력한다. 발생되는 위상 증가 값을 제어하여 정확한 위상변조를 할 수 있으며, 진폭 성분의 변화는 D/A 컨버터의 출력에서 발생하는 진폭을 변화시켜 진폭 변조하여, 전체적인 QAM 변조기를 설계한다. glitch와 같은 고조파 성분의 억제를 위하여 DDFS를 이중구조 형태로 설계하여 개선된 출력파형을 확인하였다. 회로 설계는 P-SPICE를 사용하였다. 아날로그 디지탈 혼합모드로 시뮬레이션하여 16-QAM 변조 파형을 확인하였고, 출력 데이터의 성상도를 출력하여 설계되어진 결과를 확인하였다.

기체 방전관의색상 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on Color Control in Gas Discharge Tube)

  • The electronic operation of the gas discharge tube is controlled by the electrical energy as sinusoidal waveform in arbitrary frequency range, or as a sequence of pulses at a wide range of duty cycle, the gas composition, the kind of electrode and the vessel geometry. In this paper, the pulsed mode operated gas discharge tube is composed with mixed gas of IIg-Ne ( 10 Torr ), in the tube of 15.0 mm outer diameter and has variable color from red to blue with changing frequency and pulse width in high voltage. As increasing pulse width and frequency in the gas discharge tube, the phenomenons that the electron temperature in the positive column increases and the radiation from atoms of higher upper state energy levels increases, exist. The color have the locus from red (0.4972, 0.3128) to blue (0.2736, 0.2619) in CIE chromacity diagram with increasing pulse width and frequency. The changing method of pulse width and frequency has been shown to be suitable for the luminous color control.
