In investigating missing persons cases, the focus is on strengthening the efficiency of detectives' work in investigating missing persons cases. Disappearance cases are seen as a problem that directly affects social safety and individual well-being. The research has the following structure. The introduction presents the necessity, scope, and methodology of the study. Next, we analyze the definition, causes, types and actual conditions of disappearance cases. In terms of problems in the process of handling missing persons cases, the initial response process, problems in the response of related agencies after reporting, problems due to the prolongation of the case, and problems due to legal restrictions are analyzed. In the plan to improve the work efficiency of detectives for disappearance cases, the revitalization of public interest investigation networks, strengthening of capacity related to disappearance case investigation, professional public interest detective certification system, and establishment of exception provisions for detective activities are discussed. In the conclusion, we present what is necessary for the activities of public interest detectives specializing in missing persons cases.

The study reports a preliminary analysis for the No-Gun Ri massacre documentation strategy based on Hackman and Wornow-Blewett's implementation model, as an appraisal and selection method for No-Gun Ri Digital Archives. It intends to review the theoretical background for this process, inlcuding a history of the No-Gun Ri massacre and the development of documentation strategy. From the theoretical analysis, this study identified the No Gun Ri documentation strategy processes in 5 categories: "cooperative collecting", "collecting in specific areas", "identifing missing areas" and "advisory group". With these 5 categories, this study discusses the application of the Hackman and Wornow-Blewett's implementation model in the No Gun Ri case and reviews the strategy's pros and cons. As a result, firstly, we classfy focusing groups into "victims and bereaved family", "government", "civil society", "the press" and "literature and art". Secondly, we also classify documentation categories into "massacre records", "investigation activity records" and "cherish memory".

Since quality assurance and enhancement (QAE) raises the fundamental issue of the survival of higher education institutions and national competitiveness, guides on quality assurance (QA) are popular both domestically and worldwide. Despite the focus in many countries on trying to establish and implement QA systems, no clear investigation has been conducted on what actually happens in the institutions. Therefore, the present study examines the quality control system of the UK at an institutional level by focusing on the case of Scotland QAE. As Scottish QAE especially emphasizes student engagement and quality culture, this study investigates the present QAE situation in the institution and current ideas for better future practices by analyzing the perceptions of internal stakeholders' from the University of Edinburgh, School of Education, based on the stakeholder theory and implications for other contexts. The stakeholder analysis results demonstrate the successful application of QAE with a high level of understanding and stakeholder interest. However, the current strategy is missing certain opportunities for staff and students. Therefore, further information disclosure, formative evaluation, better communication and administrational supports are required for improved practice.
