  • This work describes the ventilative NBC CPS(Nuclear Biological and Chemical Collective Protection Systems). The operational requirements of NBC CPS is derived using systems engineering approach. The NBC CPS system operational architecture which describes the operational concept of NBC CPS is proposed using a computer aided systems engineering tool.

  • The DMSMS(Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortage) can occur in every weapon systems and especially, this phenomenon frequently occurs in electronic parts. But we have no DMSMS-related directives, guidelines, regulations and activities, so we have some difficulties in operating weapon systems. In this paper, we review the reality of DMSMS in our weapon systems and then suggest effective alternatives to reduce the risk of DMSMS for weapon systems.

  • There are several kinds of error factors in control system design. All error factors must be analysed before designing the control system. Therefore, each error factor must be compensated and eliminated completely. Systems Engineering can solve these error factors. In this paper, systems engineering approach on control system design are studied under model based systems engineering with RDD-100, Matlab-Simulink. Systems Engineering shall be used in defense development from control system design to system development.

  • 본 논문의 목적은 복잡한 군수지원시스템의 모델링과 시뮬레이션을 위한 방법론을 제안하는 것이다. 제안하는 군수지원시스템 시뮬레이션 모델을 구성하는 요소들은 세 가지가 있다 : Logistics force agent(static model), Military supplies transport manager(function model), Military supplies state manager(dynamic model). Logistics force agent는 main function agent와function agent로 구성된다. Function agent가 다른 Logistics force agent에도 적용할 수 있도록 설계되었으며, 이는 에이전트의 높은 조합성과 재사용성을 가진다. Military supplies transport manager는 보급로에 대한 정보를 가지며 military supplies state manager로부터 받은 결정변수를 기반으로 보급로를 결정하고 군수품을 수송하는 역할을 하는 에이전트이다. Military supplies state manager는 군수품 보급을 요청받고 보급량, 우선순위 따위의 결정 변수를 military supplies transport manager에게 알려주는 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서는 군수 시뮬레이션 모델의 설계를 위해 Discrete Event Systems Specification(DEVS) formalism을 이용하였다.

  • Military technology transition is the process of transition from the science and technology environment to systems to supply effective weapon systems and support systems to the fighters. In case of technology transition decision, immatured technologies result in increasing acquisition cost and delaying schedule toward the objective system. In this paper, we proposed a method to identify and select critical technology elements by integration relations between technologies or components, for supporting technology transition and risk management of military R&D projects.

  • MRO is important concept in military logistics. It is required to reforming military budget and manpower because of decreasing troops and other factors. For this reason, military logistics needs to change and improvement. MRO is necessary concept in this situation. In that case, How improve Naval Weapons Systems MRO for this changing time? For example, ROK air force applies Aerospace MRO industries in their Weapons Systems. But, ROK navy's MRO concept is uncertain and current MRO is divided just three step, Organizational Maintenance, Field Maintenance, Depot Maintenance. So it is time to develop systematic MRO concept for improving Naval Weapons Systems and Logistics. In this research, This0 study is about expanded application of PBL and the need to make relationship between Private enterprise and Military.

  • The Constructive Battle Simulation Model is very important to the recent military training for the substitution of the field training. However, real battlefield systems operate under real-time conditions, they are inherently distributed, concurrent and dynamic. In order to reflect these properties by the computer-based simulation systems which represent real world processes, we have been developing constructive simulation model for several years. Conventionally, scheduling and resource allocation activities which have timing constraints, we elaborated on these issues and developed the simulation system on commercially available hardware and operating system with lock-free resource allocation scheme and rate monotonic scheduling.

  • In this paper, the performance of OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) and FMT(Filtered Multi-tone) Systems is compared under jamming environment. Two systems are multi-carrier systems to improve data rates. Through the comparison of two systems under jamming environment, the characteristics and strong/weak points of each system are analyzed.

  • Recently, military vehicles are driven with a lot of electronic devices such as radar, antenna, and information storage devices. However, the military vehicles can be exposed to impact easily. Therefore, they have to be designed robustly in order to ensure the stability of the vehicle and the electronic devices. To achieve that, the dynamic behaviors of the military vehicle should be exactly identified. Therefore, in this research, dynamic behaviors of the vehicles were identified by carrying out road tests and we constructed finite element model to analyze the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle.
