여군의 군복에 대한 인식과 전문직 자기이미지에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Military Uniform Related Attitude and Professional Identity)

  • This study examines if the uniform-related perceptions influence the formation of professional identity. A self-administered survey was conducted on 346 female nursing officers at military hospitals. The independent variables were the basic characteristics, perception of clothing benefit, perception of nursing uniform, and perception of the officer uniform. For the data analysis, we used paired t-test and hierarchical regression analysis. Using a paired t-test, we found the difference in function and satisfaction between nursing uniforms and officer uniforms. The result of hierarchical regression analysis shows that uniform-related perceptions were statistically significant in predicting professional identity. The nursing uniform explained the major portion of variation of professional identity; subsequently, the improvement of uniforms can enhance professional identity.

국방온톨로지 기반의 지능형 육군전술지휘정보체계 (Intelligent Army Tactical Command Information System based on National Defense Ontology)

  • 육군전술지휘정보체계(ATCIS)에서는 군단급 이하의 전술제대들로부터 입력받은 전장정보를 부대 지휘관과 참모들에게 제공하며, 이를 바탕으로 지휘관은 자신의 야전 경험과 군사 전문성을 활용하여 지휘 결심을 하게 된다. 만약 급격하게 변화하는 전장 상황에서 ATCIS가 입력 받은 적 또는 전장 상황에 대한 정보의 의미를 자동으로 이해하여 지휘 결심에 도움을 줄 수 있는 새로운 지식을 제공할 수 있다면, 지휘관은 좀 더 빠르고 정확한 의사결정을 할 수 있게 될 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국방온톨로지를 활용한 지능형 ATCIS를 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해, 전자 교범과 ATCIS 데이터베이스 정보를 분석하여 국방온톨로지를 구축하였고, 부대 참모들의 인터뷰를 통하여 지휘 결심에 필요한 군사지식을 규칙 형태로 정의하였다. 또한 구축된 국방온톨로지와 규칙이 지휘관의 의사결정지원에 활용되는 것을 보이기 위해 시맨틱 웹 기술을 활용하여 적의 도발 가능성을 예측하는 서비스를 구현하였다.

일반대학 군사학 교육과정 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the Military Studies Curriculum at the Civilian Universities)

  • 일반대학에 군사학과가 개설된 지 약 10년이 되어간다. 군사학이 일반대학교에서 발전해 나가고 우수한 장교를 배출하기 위하여 교육과정은 중요한 요소 중의 하나이다. 본고는 일반대학 군사학과의 학사학위 교육과정을 어떻게 편성하여야 하는가에 대한 현실적인 해답으로 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 군사학과 교육과정 편성에 영향을 미치는 요소들을 분석하였다. 첫째 군사학 학위수여를 하는 군 기관의 교육과정 편성이다. 위관급 장교에게 필요한 실무수행에 초점을 맞추어져 있고, 육사는 군사학 과목의 대부분을 필수과정으로 편성하고 있다. 둘째 군사학의 학문영역으로 전쟁과 군사력 분야라고 할 수 있다. 셋째 문헌과 학문분류상의 군사학은 사회과학적인 군사학과 공학적인 군사공학으로 분류하고 있다. 넷째 대학교육이 지향하는 방향으로 학문성과 실용성이 균형을 유지해야한다고 보았다. 다섯째 군사학 석박사 과정과도 연계성을 유지해야 하고, 여섯째 수요자인 육군의 요구도 만족하고, 학생지도는 훈육지도 성격이 가미되어야 한다고 보았다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 일반대학 군사학과 학사학위를 위한 교육과정에 포함되어야 할 기준과목을 도출하였다. 교양으로 3개 분야 5개 과목, 전공으로 3개 분야 14개 과목, 총 19개 과목을 제시하였다.

A Study on Military-style gymnastics and Its Adoption in Public Schools in Late Chosun dynasty

  • In the late 19th century and early 20th century, Among those of the Northeast Asia three countries, school physical education and military-style gymnastics of Chosun can be regarded as having been the most nationalistic. The adoption of modern physical education in public schools was from the proclamation of 'the Order on Building the Country through Education by King Gojong in February 1895. This paper intends to examine the process of adopting military-style gymnastics education which played the central role in school physical education in the late Chosun period. But, unlike the common guess that military-style gymnastics in public schools in late Chosun would have been full of patriotism and nationalism, the textbooks and teaching contents of Chosun Military Officers' School were very similar to those of Japan, which is an unexpected fact. Therefore, Chosun decided to accept the Japanese-type military-style gymnastics and military training to improve physical strength of youngsters and military power. The fact that, with the advent of modern education, physical education was emphasized above all else has a very important meaning to the history of Korean physical education. Physical activity education emerged as a major education course which had been unthinkable in previous ages. The second characteristics is that the process of adopting military-style gymnastics and its contents were influenced by Japan Third, even if military-style gymnastics was imported from Japan as part of school physical education course in late Chosun period, its aim was to train military man powers for the independence movement against Japan, rather than to develop harmonious body.

군대 조직에서 진성리더십이 직무만족과 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Authentic Leadership on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behavior: Focus on Military Organization Behavior)

  • Purpose: The study is aimed to understand the influence of the authentic leadership in the military organization on the collective and personal level of effectiveness and to examine the impact of authentic leadership on job satisfaction and the organizational citizenship behavior in the military. Methods: The empirical test are based on an effective survey with 337 respondents who are military officers in order to verify the hypothesis of the research. Results: The results of this study found that the authentic leadership has partial positive impact on the job satisfaction. The job satisfaction has positive impact on organizational citizenship behavior. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, leaders must be educated through personal education in order to express themselves honestly. Education should be carried out so that they ca develop qualities that can truly reward mental rewards for good work and praise. The self-examination should be done with the self-examination.

AHP기법과 목표계획법을 이용한 신병 군사특기 분류 모형 (A MOS Assignment Model to Enlisted Recruits Using AHP and Goal Programming)

  • To assign the soldiers in the adequate positions I military is almost as important as managing officers because they compose the main part of military structure and equipment operators. The current Military Occupational Specialty(MOS) assignment system lacks the capability to optimize the use of recruit's potential. We suggest an MOS assignment method for enlisted recruits using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) method, this method systematically provides a method of calculation of composite relative weights of decision elements to be considered during MOS assignment and a method of quantification for personal quality of new recruits. The quantified value of personal quality, Mission Performance Capability(MPC), in this study means the mission performance capability when a personnel is assigned to a certain MOS. This paper develops a multiple objectives MOS assignment model for enlisted recruits. It uses MPC of personnels, calculated with AHP method and consensus method, as parameters. The goal constraints are assurance of filling requirement, minimization of the number of unassigned personnel to MOS, capability satisfaction of education facility and support facility, assurance of desired MPC value level for MOS assignment, and maximization of total MPC. The objective function is to terminalization of the negative or positive deviation for the above goal constraints.

임무형 지휘가 조직 효과성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 조직문화의 매개효과를 중심으로 - (The Effect of Mission-oriented Command on Organizational Effectiveness)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship between mission-oriented Command, organization efficiency, organization culture of 626 field officers in JFMU. Firstly. the study found that decision making in the relationship between mission-oriented command and organization efficiency had negative effect on job satisfaction. Planning and trust lead to positive effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment and no significance in self decision. Secondly, mission-oriented command may differ depending on the types of organization culture and organization culture has positive effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Thirdly, mission-oriented command has some effect which derives from its impact on organization efficiency that also effects rational culture and rank hierarchy culture. These study results suggest different measures in terms of practice and policy. Firstly. within the military organization, precise communication will lead to job satisfaction without unnecessary overload of communication. Also. we have rationale culture, agreement culture and rank hierarchy culture forming our organization culture. There is a need to apply elements of mission-oriented command depending on the types of organization culture. Secondly, to maximize organization performance through mission-oriented command, we have to strengthen the rationale and rank hierarchy cultures and especially introduce development culture which should be established within the military organization.

A Case Study of Video See-Through HMD in Military Counseling Service

  • In Korea, the military has been conducting counseling forthe preemptive detection of psychologically unstable soldiers to prevent unexpected accidents and to help them adapt to military life. However, several soldiers feel anxious about face-to-face counseling with military officers and they have difficulty expressing themselves. Video See-Through HMD is a state-of-the-art mixed reality device that converts the user's real view into a digital view, which leads users to feel the actual situation as the virtual. To validate its usefulness as a new psychological counseling aid, we investigated 11 army soldiers who are under the counseling program in barracks. During the counseling conversation, participants were asked to wear or take off the Video See-Through HMD repeatedly. All conversations were recorded for behavioral observation. As a result, 80% of the soldiers showed a relatively stable state of mind when wearing the Video See-Through HMD, which leads them to be innocent and frank about their concerns. This method could improve the effectiveness of counseling to prevent unexpected accidents caused by unnoticeable psychological instabilities of the clients.

학군사관후보생(ROTC)의 리더십 유효성과 영향요인 (ROTC's Leadership Effectiveness and Its Influence Factors)

  • 장교 양성과정에서 ROTC의 전장리더십 역량과 자질을 구비하기 위한 노력은 군의 전투력 향상에 지대한 영향을 미친다. 이러한 의미에서 본 연구는 초급장교 리더십 영향요인에 주목하여 리더십 함양과 고양을 위한 방안을 모색하는 데에 중점을 두었으며, 이를 실증적인 차원에서 확인해보고자 시도되었다. 본 연구에서는 군 리더십에 대한 이론적 고찰을 통해 리더십 유효성의 영향요인으로 품성, 군인정신, 전문성 세 영향 요인을 식별하였다. 실증연구를 위해 세 가지 영향요인 변수를 독립변수로, 리더십 유효성을 종속변수로 설정하여 연구모형과 가설을 설정하였다. 실증연구는 ROTC와 야전에서 복무하고 있는 학군 초급장교 153명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 이루어졌으며, 자료의 분석과 가설의 검증은 계량적인 방법론을 적용하여 연구의 결과를 제시하였다. 실증자료의 분석결과 리더십에 영향력을 미치는 요인으로서 전문성, 품성, 군인 정신 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 역할을 담당하고 있음이 확인되었다. 본 연구에서는 학군단에서 실시하고 있는 리더십 교육의 지속적인 개선이 필요하며, 전문성, 책임감, 사명감을 고양시키는 교육담당자의 노력이 한층 강화되어야 함을 제안하였다.

군병원정보시스템 사용자의 만족도에 관한 연구 (The study on user satisfaction at Military Hospital Information System)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate user satisfaction at Defense Medical Information System as it has been utilized as a part of National Defense Information Strategies since Aug. 2000. The subjects of this study were nurse officers and army surgeons of a hospital with 1,000 beds. The results of this study are as follows; First, according to the characteristics of the subjects, there was statistically significant difference in system satisfaction, job satisfaction and information satisfaction at Military Hospital Information System. Second, according to the intention of participation, there was a statistically significant difference in user satisfaction at Military Hospital Information System. Third, according to a level of dexterity at Military Hospital Information System, there was statistically significant difference only in job satisfaction. Fourth, factors to influence system satisfaction were one's duty, using period of Military Hospital Information System, and a level of dexterity at Military Hospital Information System. Factors to influence job satisfaction were a level of dexterity at Military Hospital Information System, one's duty and intention of participation. Factors to influence information satisfaction were one's duty, a level of dexterity at Military Hospital Information System, and intention of participation. As the first study on user satisfaction at Military Hospital Information System, this study suggests the followings. First, a plan to inspire users with intention of participating in information system should be prepared. Second, it is necessary to provide policy activities for job standardization of Military Hospital Information System and legal system improvement.
