Event notification service is a event-based messaging middle ware service needed for various vertical domains, such as, business applications, distributed system management, and web service integration. In this paper, we investigate the architecture of an event notification service that includes a subject-based event dissemination service and a flexible message communication service. The event dissemination service is in charge of transferring events asynchronously but speedy according to the subjects of events and their environmental knowledge. It also includes content-based message filtering. The message communication service provides a common communication infrastructure supporting variety types of messages and variety of protocols. Depending on application domains and situation, we can re-configurate the communication infrastructure in order to optimize the efficiency and usability. This paper shows the performance analysis of our event notification service with various types of message formats and protocols.

최근 급격한 스마트 기기와 통신기술의 발전은 다양한 분야에서 센세이션을 일으키며 우리 삶을 혁명적으로 바꿔 놓고 있다. 이러한 변화에는 주변 상황정보를 인식하여 처리하는 상황정보 처리 시스템의 발전이 큰 역할을 하고 있다. 그러나 상황정보를 받아 처리하는 미들웨어 시스템의 범용화, 규격화가 이뤄지지 않아 미들웨어의 재사용이 어려워 중복개발 등으로 유비쿼터스 저변확대에 저해가 되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 상황정보 데이터를 규격화 하고 독립적이고 모듈화된 메시지 기반의 미들웨어를 설계하고, 외부와의 인터페이스에 XML을 이용한 범용 미들웨어 응용 시스템을 제안한다.

The purpose of this study is investigate the level of awareness and interest of middle and high school students on performance evaluation book list, and regarding the correlation analysis of general satisfaction and academic achievement. For this purpose, each of the two middle schools and high schools in Seoul were selected, a total of 200 people were surveyed for each 50 students in each gender and grade. Research results, First, the analysis of gender and school level showed that there were differences in level of interest in performance evaluation books. Second, the analysis of differences in the level of interest in the list of performance evaluation books showed that students interested in the list of performance evaluation books spend more time evaluating performance. Third, the analysis of differences in level of awareness in the list of performance evaluation books showed that the relationship between knowledge acquisition and academic achievement was high depending on whether they were ware. There was also a significant relationship between selection criteria and general satisfaction.

The realtime test data topic means that process for the data efficiently from many kinds of measurement device at the test range. There are many measurement devices in test range. The test range require accurate observation and determine on test object. In this realtime test data slaving framework system, the system can produce variety of test informations and all these data also must be transmitted to test information management or display system in realtime. Using RTI DDS(Data Distribution Service) middle ware Ver 5.2, we can product the efficiency of system usability and QoS(Quality of Service) requirements. So the application user enables to concentrate on applications, not middle ware. As the reason, Complex function is provided by the DDS, not the application such as Visualization Software. In this paper, I suggest the realtime test data topic on slaving framework of realtime test data based on DDS at the test range system.

In this paper it was introduced that embedded RFID Reader /Writer system including PXA255 ARM chip which enables the Tag signal to be used by data and video processing via IEEE 802.11 communication protocol. Embedded RFID R/W middle ware was developed which transmit the searched result in the data base using the received Tag signal via IEEE 802.11 communication protocol. Developed embedded RFID R/W system was composed of three parts - PXA255 ARM chid (Core Part) 13.56 MHz RFID Reader /Writer, wireless LAN for data communication with server and TFT-LCD terminal. Once this system receives the Tag signal through the serial port, it transmits the data through the wireless LAN to the server and it displays the received image data which was processed by the server onto the TFT-LCD screen. Embedded RFID R/W Middle ware transmits the received Tag signal from RFID R/W to the embedded system, which activates the socket program to connect to the window server via IEEE 802.11 communication protocol and transmits the Tag signal. Window server program searches the Database using this Tag information and displays the result on to the TFT-LCD window in the embedded system via IEEE 802.11 protocol.

The purpose of this study was to examine the state of management and science teachers perception of science classes and clubs in secondary schools. There ware 125 participants (75 middle school teachers and 50 high school teachers) from eight metropolitan cities and local areas, and more than 80% of the participants had managed science classes or clubs. Results found that a significant number of science teachers felt it necessary to manage science classes and/or clubs in secondary schools. They believed the classes and/or clubs to be beneficial in the activation of students' interest in science, even though they might not be effective ways of improving scientific achievement. In addition, it was found that secondary science teachers desire financial support, in-service programs, and efficacious programs supporting science class and club management.

This study was done to compare the effects of managing obesity using a behavior modification program and an aerobic exercise in adolescent girls. Thirty three subjects were selected from one girls' middle school located in Seoul. Seventeen girls participated in the behavior modification program by joining 60-90 minute group sessions weekly. The aerobic exercise program was given to 16 girls three times per week for 60 minutes each. These iterventions continued for eight weeks from October 17 to December 10, 1995. The data were obtained before and after the interventions by measuring degree of obesity, body weight, blood pressure, serum lipid, %body fat, and waist to hip ratio(WHR). Data ware analysed by using paired t-test. The results are as follows. 1. Subjects in both the behavior modification and the aerobic exercise groups showed significant decrese in the degree of obesity, body weight, diastolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein, %body fat and fat mass after the 8-week interventions. 2. Systolic bood pressure, high density lipoprotein cholesterol and waist to hip ratio were significantly decreased after the 8-week intervention in the behavior modification program group while triglyceride was significantly decreased after the 8-week intervention in the aerobic exercise program group. These findings indicate that both behavior modification and aerobic exercise programs are good strategies for managing obesity among adolescent girls.

VoiceXML is a standard dialog mark-up language for the neat generation voice applications. The current VoiceXML 1.0 specification is silent on who place outbound calls for push-based voice applications. The push-barred voice applications become very important in modern information systems such as CRM. In this paper, we design and implement an extended VoiceXML platform that supports both inbound and outbound voice information services. We also extend the VoiceXML DTD so as to be able to inbound/outbound fax based on Call Control Requirements of W3C.

This paper discusses revenue model of digital TV broadcast service(D-TV) and presents the basic framework for integrated strategy of applications. Also this paper presents the cases of D-TV in the frame of integrated model. The broadcasting operators should focus on interactive advertising and revenue generation utilizing customer participation. Also, they should utilize the strengths as a platform operator. The contents provider should be concerned about the retail revenue rather than commission revenue. The middle ware provider should develop new interactive D-TV service rather than system use fee or consulting fee.

the data-centric publish/subscribe middle-ware is suitable for a communication environment in which various devices dynamically forms a network domain and same type of data are frequently exchanged. For this purpose, OMG has standardized DDS (Data Distribution Service) specification. In this study, we designed the RiTiCoM, data distribution service system that observes the OMG DDS (Data Distribution Service) standard specification and supports the automation of system management, and analyzed the performance and compared with the JMS.
