순철박막의 증착속도, 미세구조 및 자성에 미치는 스퍼터링조건의 영향 (Influence of Sputtering Condition on the Deposition Rate, the Microstruture and Magnetic Properties of Pure Iron Thin Film)

  • 고주파 마그네트론 스퍼터링법으로 제조된 순철박막에 대해 증착속도, 미세구조 및 자기특성에 미치는 스퍼터링조건의 영향을 조사하였다. 증착속도는 기판에 자장을 가할 경우 현저히 증가햐였으며, 이는 자장에 의한 Ar 이온의 증가효과로 고찰되었다. 투입전력이 커질수록 결정립 크기와 격자상수가 증 가하였으며 (110)면이 강하게 발달하였다. Ar 압력의 증가에 따라 격자상수는 작아졌으나 결정립 크기는 거의 변화하지 않았다. 기판자장을 가하면서 60W에서 제조한 순철박막의 자화곤란방향이 가장 낮은 약 30e의 보자력을 나타내었다. 보자력은 5mTorr 이상의 Ar 압력에서 급증하는 경향을 보였으며, 이는 표면 이 거칠어진 효과 및 제2상의 효과로 고찰되었다. 두께에 따른 보자력의 변화는 50-200nm 두께의 범위에 서 Neel의 관계를 잘 만족하였다.

  • 질염 환자의 Pap. 염색 도말 표본에서 실마리세포(clue cell)는 쉽게 관찰되었으며 이들 세포 주변에서 젖산균(lactobacilli)은 확인되지 않았다. 주사전자현미경상에서 편평상피세포(squamous epithelial cell) 표면을 덮고 있는 Gardnerella vaginalis들은 biofilm을 형성하고 있었다. 무정형의 biofilm 물질은 세균 표면을 매끄럽게 덮고 있거나 세균과 세균 사이를 연결시켜주고 있었다. Gardnerella vaginalis는 구균과 간균의 형태로 직경이 약 $0.3{\mu}m-0.6{\mu}m$ 크기로 다양하였으며 세포벽 표면에는 작은 돌출된 물질들에 의해서 피복되어 있고, 일부 세균들은 분열양상을 나타냈다.

  • 정전안정화 및 입체안정화를 동시에 적용한 복합안정화기구에 의하여 25 부피%의 나노 $Al_2$O$_3$슬러리를 제조하고, 이로부터 얻은 주입성형체, 원심성형체, 진공성형체의 기공구조 분석을 통하여 입자충전거동을 살펴보았다. 나노 알루미나 분말의 습식 성형체의 충전구조는 성형방법에 의하여 가해지는 외력의 영향을 크게 받지만, 반발력을 제공하는 표면장벽층의 상호작용에 의해서도 현저한 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 예비소결실험을 통하여 나노분말에서도 기공크기가 작고, 크기분포가 좁으며, 높은 밀도를 가진 균일성형체의 미세구조가 소결미세구조를 균일하게 하는데 필수적인 조건임을 확인하였다.

  • This paper provides the result of the analysis of the lightening arresters which were disconnected from the power line due to the overvoltage having high current. The effect of thermal runaway on the microstructures of lightening arrester's block was intensively investigated. The chance of the microstructures of the blocks was limited only on the breakdown paths and near them. Also even though a disconnector was disconnected from the arrester, some of the lightening arrester were showed normal characteristics.

오스테나이트계 316강의 장시간 재료 열화에 따른 미세조직의 변화와 기계적 특성의 변화 (Variation in Microstrutures and Mechanical Properties During Long-term Material Degradation of Austenitic 316L Steel)

  • In this study, we investigate the variation in microstruture and mechanical property of austenitic 316L stainless steel during long-term material degradation. To simulate the material degradation, the AISI 316 steel was exposed to accelerate under a temperature of 600℃ for up to 10000 hours at each predetermined heat treatment time. As the long-term material degradation time increase, the grain shape was changed from polygonal grains with annealing twins to circular grains. Most twins distributed uniformly interior of grains are recovered and disappered with long-term material degradation. Also, the δ ferrite along grain boundaries decomposed and transformed into the σ phase resulting in decrease of elongation of austenitic 316L stainless steel.

열간압연에 의한 Ti-Nb계 합금의 미세조직 및 내식성에 대한 연구 (A study on microstruture and corrosion resistance of Ti-Nb alloys by hot rolling)

  • Pure titanium and Ti6Al4V alloy have been mainly used as implant materials but the cytotoxicity of V, neurotoxicity of Al resulting in Alzheimer disease had been reported. This paper was described the influence of composition of Ti-Nb alloys with 3 wt%Nb, 20 wt%Nb on the microstructure and corrosion resistance. Specimens of Ti alloys were melted in vacuum arc furnace and homogenized at $1000^{\circ}C$ for 24hr. The alloys were rolled in $\beta$ and ${\alpha}+{\beta}$ regions. The corrosion resistance of Ti alloys were evaluated by potentiodymic polarization test in 0.9% NaCl and 5% HCl solutions. The results can be summarized as follows: 1. The microstructure was transformed from $\alpha$ phase to ${\alpha}+{\beta}$ phase by adding Nb 2. The hardness of Ti-20Nb alloy was greater than Cp- Ti, Ti-3Nb alloy. 3. The corrosion resistance of Ti-20Nb alloy was better than that of Cp-Ti, Ti-3Nb alloy in 0.9%NaCl and 5%HCl solutions.

STUDIES ON THE HIGH TEMPERATURE PROPERTIES OF DUPLEX-TREATED AISI H13 STEEL

  • In oder to improve the wear resistance as well as oxidation resistance at high temperature a AISI H13 steel was treated by a duplex process of calorizing followed by plasma nitriding. The surface properties of the duplex-treated AISI H13 steel was characterized and compared with those treated by single surface process of calorizing and plasma nitriding, in terms of microstruture, microhardness, wear resistance at $500^{\circ}C$, and the oxidation behaviours at $700^{\circ}C$, Duplex process on H13 steel had created duplex layer of approximately $190\mu\textrm{m}$ on the surface, and surface microhardness was measured to be above 1450Hv(0.1Kgf). There was considerable improvement of the high temperature wear resistance at $500^{\circ}C$ in the duplex-treated steel when both wear volume and weight change due to oxidation were considered. In addition the duplex-treated steel showed an improved high temperature oxidation resistance than the plasma nitrided steel at $700^{\circ}C$.

페라이트-마르텐사이트 복합 조직강의 피로한도에 미치는 마르텐사이트 조직형태의 영향 (Effects of the Type of Martensite on Fatigue Limit of Ferrite-Martensitic Steel)

  • A study has been made on the behavior of microscopic fatigue crack growth at the stress level of the fatigue limit with ferrite-martensitic structures. For the above purpose, two types of the microstructures were prepared ; one is the microstructure having the ferrite encapsulating the islands of second phase martensite(FEM), the other is the microstructure with the martensite encapsulating the islands of ferrite(MEF). It has been pointed out that the fatigue limits of these microstructures are related to the critical stress at which the microcrack in the ferrite proceeds to the martensite. The high fatigue limit might be excepted for the MEF microstructure in which the critical crack length would be restricted within the second phase spacing in contrast with the FEM microstruture. However, the fatigue tests shows that no appreciable difference of the fatigue limits among them were recognized. Also, it turned out from the metallographic observations that the micro crack path is very much affected by the microstructures, so that the microcracks grow according to the 3-dimentional situation of its microstructures.

PTA법에 의한 스텔라이트 12 합금 육성층의 조직과 경도에 미치는 전류와 예열온도의 영향 (The Effect of Current and Preheat Temperature on Structure and Hardness of Stellite 12 Alloy Overlayer by PTA Process)

  • Stellite 12 alloy-powder was overlaid on 410 stainless steel valve seat using plasma transferred arc(PTA) process. Variation of characteristic of microstructure and hardness of deposit with current(90~150 A) and preheat temperature(R.T.~$400^{\circ}C$) was investigated. Important conclusion obtained are as follows; All welding conditions used produced a sound deposit layer with no defect in single pass welding. The maximum deposit had 4.0~4.8 mm in thickness and its bead width was increased with increase of current and preheat temperature. The deposit showed hypoeutectic microstruture, which was consisting of primary cobalt dendrite and networked $M_7C_3$ type eutectic carbides. The amount of eutectic carbides was decreased and its dendritic secondary arm spacing was increased with increase of current. Hardness of the deposit was decreased with increase of current. Preheat temperature up to $400^{\circ}C$, however, showed little influence on the hardness and microstructure. The hardness was also influenced by diluted Fe content near the interface in addition to microstructure and dendritic secondary arm spacing. Hot hardness at $500^{\circ}C$ showed higher than 300 HV.
