대형 발전기의 고정자 절연 진단용 시스템 개발 (A Diagnosing System Development for Insulated Stator of Large Generator)

  • This research presented in this paper focuses on a system development for checking stator's wedge of large generator in heavy industry. The system is composed of impactor, A/D converter and digital signal processing board. Also this paper proposes a method for detection of stator's insulating state using analysis algorithm. As developed impact system is acting, impact wave is generated real time and transferred data to microprocessor. Using communication program this signal move microprocessor to hard directory of note book with 1000 data/sec. The developed system and analysis program performed very well by real stator's wedge in large generator.

  • Recently, the fact that welding conditions are dangerous for men and the shapes of seams are complex enforced the welding system to be automatic. In order to obtain this target, are chip Microprocessor controlled welding system is devised in this study. The tracking of seam shape is achieved by applying a differential transformer and by using a program developed. This welding system mainly consists of a sensor, the differential transformer, a servo power amplifier, a control system, and DC motors. It is verified that the developed welding system is able to track three kinds of seam shapes.

  • In the microcomputer-based velocity control for an electro-hydraulic servo system, the effects of control methods and control hardware on the performance of the system were investigated. Experiments were carried out with PID and deadbeat controllers using 8 or 16 bit microprocessor and 8 or 12 bit A/D and D/A converters. It is found that the transient response of the system is better with PID controller than with deadbeat controller. When the number of bits of the microprocessor and converters are small, it is also found that amplitude quantization due to limited wordlength gives significant effects on transient responses of the system. Analytically predicted step-responses are in good agreement with experimental ones.

  • A design of digital position control system with DC Motor is presented. The digital position control system is constructed by power circuits, interface circuits and control circuits using single chip microprocessor (8096). All control functions are implemented on the 16 bit micro-processor requiring only on incremental encoder for speed and position sensing. The control schemes are used by the proportional control for some modifications and braking algorithms. This digital position system offered to the fast response, good steady-state accuracy, flexibility and reliability, Hardware, software features and experimental results of this system are described.

  • In this study, a thermal control system which applied a Peltier device for the polymerase chain reaction(PCR) machine is to be designed. Here in order for it to easily follow the characteristics of the thermal cycle existing for gene amplification of the PCR sample, a PCR control board utilizing a thermal sensor, a Peltier, and a 8 bit microprocessor is made up. Especially a fuzzy type PD control algorithm is applied periodically in time response, and control system is implemented. For that matter, the characteristic data of subject system is obtained and analysed to begin with. Based on this analysed data, the proposed control algorithm is applied and an evaluation of the performance of the whole system take place through the PC.

  • How to promote students interest is very important in undergraduate engineering education. One of the techniques for achieving this is select appropriate projects and to integrated them with regular courses. In this paper, a voice recognition system for autonomous robots is proposed as a project to educate students about microprocessors efficiently. The proposed system consists of a microprocessor and a voice recognition processor that can recognize a limited unmber of voice patterns. The commands of autono-mous robots are classified and are organized such that one voice recognition processor can distinguish robot commands under each directory. Thus. the proposed system can distinguish more voice commands than one voice recognition processor can. A voice com-mand systems for three autonomous robots is implemented with a microprocessor Inter 80CI196KC and a voice recognition processor HM2007. The advantages in integrating this system with regular courses are also described.

  • A digital controller uses a microprocessor and is a controller implemented as a program. This method has the advantage of being more maintenance-friendly than existing analog controllers. However, it inevitably requires computation time to execute the internal program. Therefore, the digital controller uses a method of controlling the system at a certain cycle by considering this time, and this cycle is very closely related to the performance of the microprocessor used. In other words, in the case of very high performance, this control cycle can be shortened to near real time, but this may result in a disadvantage in terms of cost. In this paper, we propose a method to solve this problem by implementing two processors with slightly lower performance in a control system in a series-parallel structure. For this purpose, we will use a digital distributed control system and implement an experimental system to examine its effectiveness.

  • With the advent of the high-speed microprocessor and DSP, the possibility of executing a control strategy in digital domain has become a reality. By the use of the DSP and microprocessor controller, many high power drive system may be enhanced resulting in the improved robustness to EMI, the ability to communicate the operating conditions and the ease of adjusting the control parameters. But, the digital controller using DSP or microprocessor is not applied in the high frequency switching power supplies, especially full bridge DC/DC converter. So, this paper presents the method and realization of designing a digital-to-phase shift PWM circuit for full digital controlled full bridge DC/DC converter with zero voltage switching. The operating principles, simulation and experimental results will be presented.
