  • As the performance of microprocessor improves, the design complexity grows exponentially. Therefor, it is very important to make the bug-free model as early as possible in a design life-cycle. This paper describes the simulation-based functional verification methodology for the RTL level description model. It is performed by multi-stage verification methods using extensive hand-generated self-checking tests supplemented with random tests. This approach is opplied to the functional verification of the GPU processor of Raptor and various bugs are detected.

  • This paper utilizes an optimal control law for the accurate tracking servo system design. The devivation of a simple control law implementing microprocessor is made to minimize position and speed error of the controller. The 16 bit microprocessor receives command angular position and calculate the control algorithm for accurate tracking and provides control system gain scheduling to achieve very short settling time. Simulation results and some experimental results of the position controlled tracking using 4.5Kw DC servo motor are shown.

  • In this paper, we propose a bias random vector generator which can verify functions of microprocessor effectively. This generator is a pre-processor of assembly program, and defines pre-processor instructions which create random vector only in the pall which the designer wants to verify. Therefore, this generator shows higher detection ration than any other generators. And, we can cut down design costs because of shortening a Period for verifying function.

  • As microprocessor and SOC (System On a Chip) performance moves into the GHz speed, the high-speed asynchronous design is becoming challenge due to the disadvantageous power and speed aspects in synchronous designs. The next generation on-chip systems will consist of multiple independently synchronous modules and asynchronous modules for higher performance, so the interface module for data transfer between multiple clocked IPs is designed with Xilinx FPGA and simulated with RISC microprocessor.

  • This paper is concerned with the design of the optimal gains of the controller in the speed control system for the induction motor controlled by the microprocessor. The system is modelled with the discrete-time state equation, considering the time delay, for the facility of the optimization techniques. Introducing the conjugate gradient descent method, as the optimization technique, are derived the optimal gains, the gains which give the best transient characteristics. At the optimal gains obtained, the theoretcal transient responses are verified by experimental ones on a 5HP induction motor drive system.

  • This paper is to design an autobalancing system based-on microprocessor for hemodiafiltration (HDF) system. The proposed system consist of motor control part, thermostatic control part, alarm system and electronic scale which ar automatically controlled by microprocessor. Conventional hemodialysis system can not remove medium molecular articles but hemodialysis system with the proposed system can remove and infuse substitute to the patient. This system can be easily interfaced with any other conventional HD system. The results obtained from performance evaluation of the proposed system are suitable for clinical supporting system.

  • Design and implementation of monitoring and control system using dual-microprocessor node is presented for real time process. The proposed system is implemented with 2 of the single chip microprocessors in tightly coupled mode and results in speed up of $s_p=1.74.$ Under the assumption that the nodes are interconnected in multidrop. the overall system performance such as average throughout-delay characteristics and effective throughput are analyzed using M/G/1 gueueing model, and results show that the proposed node can be used to medium sized distributed monitoring and control system.

  • In this paper a design of educational robot based on a PC and/or a microprocessor is discussed. The educational robot has 5 DOF and Is made with Swiss Mini Servomotor and Motor Controller IC LM629N. Also, a GUI(Graphical User Interface) is programmed by Visual Basic. This system is completed to consider control properties of the educational robot with 5-DOF that can be changed the parameter of controller by software.

  • 본논문은 Minicomputer를 LSI화 할때의 문제점을 명확히 하고, 그 해결책을 검토한 다음 앞에서 설계한 N)VA Emulator의 성능을 평가하기 위한 Simulation을 행하였다. 성과로서는 Microprocessor에 의한 하드웨어설계의 문제점과 몇가지 과제등이 명확히 되었다. The purpose of this thesis is to make clear the problems which would arisc from the process of making the Minicomputer by the employment of LSI, and to examine a solution to the problems. This Simulation 19 do for value performance of NOVA Emulator which designed before this. As a result of this studies, The problem of the hardware design by Microprocessor, the problem to be accompanied with application of LSI to the computer in the furture, etc. are mentioned definitely.
