  • This paper proposes new position control method for DC servo motor by PI controller adopting sliding mode control. By adding sliding mode controller to conventional PI controller good robustness is obtained with good transient response and no steady state error which are merits in PI controller. In order to use microprocessor for digital control the principles of sliding mode control conventionally explained in continous-time system are extended to discrete-time system.

  • This paper describes the auto depth control system for underwater vehicle that can be used for both near surface and deeply submerged depthkeeping operations. This controller uses the fuzzy control algorithm and is implemented on the 16 bit microprocessor 8086 and coprocessor 8087. For verifying this system design, the digital simulator using PC-386 based T800 transputer is proto-totyped and the real time simulations show us satisfactory results.

  • To perform the marking on metal with high speed and non-contact using the laser beam of high energy, laser marking system is designed and fabricated applying the galvanometer scanner capable of high speed-precise beam positioning controlled by microprocessor. Laser is a Q-switched Nd:YAG producing multi-mode, wavelength, 1060nm. Optical system is composed of beam expander, scanning mirror and flat field lens. Consequently, the laser marking is satisfactorily achieved regardless of kinds of metal.

  • This paper describes a 32-bit RISC processor, which has instruction level compatibility with the ARM7 microprocessor. The processor is fully synthesizable, and its performance is evaluated based on 0.35-${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS library. This paper focuses on the implementation of the processor and the reliable verification strategy ensuring the complete instruction level compatibility. The processor has successfully verified using a FPGA chip.

  • The purpose of this study is to design a body-fat measurable electronic scale which can measure body impedance and weight. The hardware configuration of this system for the body-fat measurement includes a sinewave constant current generator, a analog switch circuit and a microprocessor with peripheral interface as well as electronic scale circuit. And the dedicated software is also designed for calculating body fat and body composition analysis from the result of the measurement.

  • This paper describes a fully digitalized driver for BLDC motors which is realized by a single chip microprocessor. The speed change can be done by using the signal obtained from the position detecting sensor and adjusting the pulse width at the input channel of power module. In order to establish a speed control system a repetitive control method is adopted to track a periodic refer-ence change in the BLDC motor system. The experimental results show accurate reference track-ing performance under the given periodic reference in the repetitive controller design.

  • This paper presents a general purpose data acquisition system based on the microprocessor system with M 6800. instrument and lograrithmic amplifiers and A/D converters are used to implement a signal conditioner for a various kinds of signals. The proposed system has a function such that the processor may select the one of the input signals as will and also it is proved that the system may control the control signal and digital converted signal through I/O port of PIA. Practical measurement by the proposed system shows in good results.

  • A complete design of a new digital control circuit for a three-phase controlled rectifier is presented. The circuit consists of a gating signal generating ROM, down counter and adder. Proposed scheme is simple and quite adequate to the microprocessor-based digitally controlled systems. The basic principle and operation characteristics of the circuit are described and experimental-results show good dynamic performance. Synchronization problem with noisy reference is also discussed. The basic phylosophy developed can be extended to the other phase control system, e.g., cycloconverters, ac voltoge controllers, etc.
