  • Micro-robots using microprocessor are mainly classified as line-tracer, micro-mouse, and war-robot. This paper presents the development of the war-robot mechanism with vehicle-style using RC-servo motors and actuators using 4-bar linkage and infrared sensors. Especially the algorithm of conquering other war-robots is proposed based on the skill of belly-throw of Korean wrestling.

  • [$SiO_2$] film coated as a passivation layer for YBCO based electronic devices is investigated by measuring the micro wave properties of micro strip line resonators. The $SiO_2$ film coated resonators are compared with coated resonators for two degradation conditions, a $200^{\circ}C$ annealing in air and an exposure to air at $85^{\circ}C\;85\%$ relative humidity. The $SiO_2$ film reduces the YBCO thin film degradation caused by oxygen stoichiometry change and reaction with water.

  • This study has examined the principle of rationalization as a guiding principle in fisheries management. Generally speaking, the guiding principle of business management is the principle of profitability which is oriented to the profit maximization, but it has been insisted by Dr, Mohri that the principle of profitability should be translated into the maximization of ratio of added value on gross capital, According to Dr. Durcker, added value (contributed value) can be used to analyze productivity only if the allocation of costs which together make up the figures is economically meaningful. Therefore, the rationalization of fisheries management can be measured as a result of economic allocation of costs, The analysis of economic allocation of costs divides into macro-allocation of costs and micro-allocation of costs. In fisheries management, the former makes use of the analysis of break-even point, and the latter analyzes the efficiency of individual cost respectively and the state of division of costs which allocate into above-the-line expenses of lay system and management's burden expenses. In macro-allocation of costs, it is advisable that fixed costs be converted into variable costs. This is characteristically possible in fisheries management, because wages belong to variable costs in fisheries management while they are regarde as fixed cost in the other industires. Because we could find that all costs would belong to above-the-line expenses, in micro-allocation analysis, the very costs which are directly related to fisherman's poduction activity should be classified into above-the-line expenses, and the other costs into management's burden expenses. This is a central problem in the rationalization of fisheries management.

  • The screen printing has been widely used to form silver electrodes in solar cell device due to their simplicity of process. However, the wavy and irregular surface which is believed to be originated from a screen mask mesh and thixotropic characteristics of paste on screen printing process is well-known to give a negative effect on solar cell efficiency. The dispensing method that the silver paste is extruded through micro nozzle under a moderate pressure and coated on substrate can form the silver electrode without any wavy surface. In this study, we optimize the composition of silver paste and develop paste blending condition based on the thixotropic behavior of paste. The optimized paste shows a large thixotropic loop area which is related to an aspect ratio of electrode line and has the viscosity of 40 $Pa{\cdot}s$ at 40 s-1. The electrode line we finally obtainis 67.2 ${\mu}m$ in width and has an aspect ratio of 0.277.

Autofocus system for off-line focusing error compensation in micro laser fabrication process (레이저 미세가공용 자동초점장치를 이용한 오프라인 초점 오차 보상에 관한 연구)

  • Micro laser fabrication techniques can potentially be used for the manufacture of microstructures on the thin flat surfaces with large diameter that are frequently used in semiconductor industries. However, the large size of wafers can cause the degraded machining accuracy of the surface because it can be tilted or distorted by geometric errors of machines or the holding fixtures, etc. To overcome these errors the off-line focusing error compensation method is proposed. By using confocal autofocus system, the focusing error profile of machined surface is measured along the pre-determined path and can be compensated at the next machining process by making the corrected motion trajectories. The experimental results for silicon wafers and invar flat surfaces show that the proposed method can compensate the focusing error within the level of below $6.9{\mu}m$ that is the depth of focus required for the laser micromachining process.

  • 최근에 건조되는 선박이나 구조물들은 점차 대형화 되어가고, 이에 사용되는 판재들은 점차 고강도 극후판재화 되어가고 있다. 극후판재의 용접성을 향상시키기 위해서는 대입열 용접이 주로 적용되고 있는 실정인데, 30 mmt 이상의 후판을 1 pass로 용접하기 위해서는 EGW(Electro-gas welding) 기법을 사용한다. 대입열 용접은 용접입열(heat input)이 매우 높아 용착금속과 열영향부의 냉각속도가 매우 느려 용접열영향부에서 특히 fusion line 근처의 열영향부는 결정립 조대화 및 취약한 미세조직을 형성함으로서 저온인성을 크게 저하시키고, 연화 현상(softening effect)을 발생시켜 강도가 저하되는 문제점이 주로 발생하였다. 하지만 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위해 대입열용접에 사용된는 강재의 미세조직을 제어하여 AlN, TiN, $TiO_2$ 등의 석출물을 이용한 용접열영향부의 저온인성을 향상시켰다. 이러한 문제점이 발생하는 대입열용접에서 저온인성 시험은 주로 fuison line + 1, 2mm에서 수행한다. 하지만 대입열 용접시 용착금속의 냉각속도도 매우 느리기 때문에 용착금속의 위치에 따라 저온 인성 특성이 다르게 나타날 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 EGW 용착금속의 위치에 따른 저온인성 특성을 평가하기 위해 EH-36N, 40mmt 판재를 사용하여 1pole EG 용접 하였다. 용착금속의 저온인성 특성을 평가하기위해 충격 시편의 노치 위치가 fusion line - 2mm와 용접부 중앙을 기준으로 4곳을 선정하여 충격시험을 수행하였다. 또한 용착금속의 경도 분포를 알아보기 위해 micro vickers hardness tester(mitutoyo UR-501)을 사용해 hardness mapping 시험을 하였다. 용착금속의 저온인성은 미세조직과, 산소량에 따라 변화 할 수 있기 때문에 용착금속 위치를 달리하여 미세조직과 산소량도 각각 분석하였다. 용착금속의 저온인성을 향상시킬 수 있는 침상형페라이트와 비금속개재물의 상관관계에 관해 검토 하였다.

  • This paper deals with tIne interface error in the on-line computer systems by using the FSK radio communications. The wideband frequency shrift keying method is used for briary data transmission between the remote terminals and the main computer. To mintmize the error rate In the decoder systems of the main computer, a synchronizing pulse is added to the frame, so that the phase In both receiver and transmitter are synchronized. When the information signal with a constant error bit is received through FSK, It is designed to use the microprocessor for calculation of error bit. As results, most bit error are caused in FSK radio communications. and a few error bit Is me - asured to enter the mirroprocessor from the input buffer.

  • The calibration of O.M.D is carried out experimentally and is analysed theoretically. O.M.D experimentally measures the change in optical density of artificially contaminated oil which contains Fe powder of 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 70, 100, 200 ppm. The change in optical density, D$_1$ means the logarithmic transmittance of I$_0$ over $I_1 D_2$ denotes the logarithmic transmittance I$_2$ over I$_1$ on electromagnetic force which arranges the ferrous particles along the line of magnetic force. The theoretical D$_1$ which increases linearly as increasing Fe concentrations, is analysed by light attenuation theory. The difference between theoretical D$_1$ and experimental D$_1$ is due to the attenuation of micro bubbles and the agglomeration of fine particles in the sample oil. The calibrated O.M.D is applied to the sample oil from the high-powered diesel engine. Also the results are compared with those out of the off-line techniques such as JOAP and ICP.

Novel Fabrication and Testing of a Bubble-Powered Micropump (새로운 기포동력 마이크로펌프 제작 및 실험)

  • Micropump is very useful component in micro/nano fluidics and bioMEMS applications. In this study, a bubble-powered micropump was fabricated and tested. The micropump consists of two-parallel micro line heaters, a pair of nozzle-diffuser flow controller and a 1 mm in diameter, 400 ${\mu}m$ in depth pumping chamber. The two-parallel micro line heaters with 20 ${\mu}m-width$ and 200 ${\mu}m-length$ were fabricated to be embedded in the silicon dioxide layer of a wafer which serves as a base plate for the micropump. The pumping chamber, the pair of nozzle-diffuser unit and microchannels including the liquid inlet and outlet port were fabricated by etching through another silicon wafer. A glass wafer (thickness of $525{\pm}15$ ${\mu}m$) having two holes of inlet and outlet ports of liquid serve as upper plate of the pump. Finally the silicon wafer of the base plate, the silicon wafer of pumping chamber and the glass wafer were aligned and bonded (Si-Si bonding and anodic bonding). A sequential photograph of bubble nucleation, growth and collapse was visualized by CCD camera. Clearly liquid flow through the nozzle during the period of bubble growth and slight back flow of liquid at the end of collapsing period can be seen. The mass flow rate was found to be dependent on the duty ratio and the operation frequency. As duty ratio increases, flow rate decreases gradually when the duty ratio exceeds 60%. Also as the operation frequency increases, the flow rate of the micropump decreases slightly.
