나노스크래치와 HF 식각을 병용한 보로실리케이트 요/철형 구조체 패턴 제작 기술 (Fabrication Technique of Nano/Micro Pattern with Concave and Convex Structures on the Borosilicate Surface by Using Nanoscratch and HF etching)

  • The objective of this work is to suggest a mastless pattern fabrication technique using the combination of machining by Nanoindenter(equation omitted) XP and HF wet etching. Sample line patterns were machined on a borosilicate surface by constant load scratch (CLS) of the Nanoindenter(equation omitted) XP with a Berkovich diamond tip, and they were etched in HF solution to investigate chemical characteristics of the machined borosilicate surface. All morphological data of scratch traces were scanned using atomic force microscope (AFM).

  • Two graphics simulators, SOFTGRA and RACA, have been developed. The SOFTGRA has been implemented by the scan line algorithm using 2 shading models with multi-light sources. The RACA is a ray casting simulator which produces shadowed images with realism. Above two simulators run on Sun micro system and MV10000 and produce image data which are transfered into IBM AT with Metheus' Omega graphics board and drawn there.

  • On-Line optimization of process units has heretofore been restricted to the individual equipment level using linear approximate models. The advent of the low cost, high speed micro-computer coupled with the speed and robustness of an equation based exact simulator is making real-time optimization of entire process units a reality. The resultant implications for a decision system applied to day-to-day operations, point to a significant change in the way process plants will be managed in the future.

  • This paper studied the method to improve the reliability with the simple structure and the decreased calculation of Micro-Controller(uC) in Power Line Modem. We have implementation the program which correct the 1-bit error of the $\mu$C within the control system and the DS/SS(Direct sequence/spread spectrum) by adding the simple circuit between a single chip powerline transceiver IC and a uC.

  • A new picking algorithm has been developed on real-time basis for finding the onset of P wave as well as discriminating the micro seismic signal from artificial noise. Unlike the previous methods which have used the STA/LTA ratio for discriminating the P arrivals, we have adopted the slope discrimination methods for identifying the P onset. As result, this algorithm has been turned out to be efficient in both accuracy and computation in on-line system.

  • We study on the transient response in non-uniform microstrip lines with optically controlled microwave pulses. The transient response of the microwave pulses in plasma layer has been evaluated by reflection function of dielectric microstrip lines. The variation of characteristic response in plasma layer with localized pulses has been evaluated analytically. Reflection the change of the reflection amplitude has been observed.

  • Recently, there has been much focus on the controlled alignment and patterning process of nanowires for nanoelectronic devices. A simple and effective method for patterning of highly aligned nanowires using a microcontact printing technique is demonstrated. In this method, nanowires are first directionally aligned by contact printing, following which line and space micropatterns of nanowire arrays are accomplished by microcontact printing with a micro patterned NOA mold.

  • The effectiveness of tri layer resist (TLR) technique is compared with that of single layer resist (SLR) technique in order to make a 0.8um pattern with the linewidth deviation of 10 percents. SLR technique is not appropriate to shape the micro-pattern on oxide and aluminum steps because of the standing wave effect and the light scattering effect in shaping the resist pattern. On the contrary, the uniform line with a width of 0.8um on oxide and aluminum steps can be formed by TLR technique, reducting such effects. The planarization and the light absorption coefficient of the bottom layer resist in TLR are optimized by exposing it to ultra violet light after baking it for 30min at 230\ulcorner. An uniform line with a width of 0.8um on oxide step is defined with the light absorption coefficient of 0.85 whereas that on aluminum step is defined with 0.95.

  • This study focuses on the hydrogen embrittlement of iron tube for fuel line of PEMFC (Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell). PEMFC is operated by feed of hydrogen as a reactant and steam for proton conductivity of membrane. However, the environment with hydrogen and steam occur the hydrogen-induced degradation in BOP system. When iron tube was exposed to hydrogen and steam condition for 24 hours, the oxide layer on the surface was decreased by reduction. When the ambient temperature was 90$^{\circ}C$ micro cracks were found on the surface than any other temperature. The mechanical strength of iron tube was 3% lower than that of non-experiment tube. Maximum tensile stress was decreased 8%.

  • This paper describes a new voltage recorder for the voltage management of a power distribution line by using a new voltage measurement technique. The RMS(Root Mean Square) voltage measurement for the power line under the assumption of a sinusoidal input voltage is taken by the full-wave rectifier, half-adder utilizing operational amplifier(OP) circuit. A/D converter utilizing a dual slope converter converts an analog voltage signal into a serial pulse. The pulse is counted with a single chip micro-controller, converted with the RMS voltage, and saved into a flash memory. In the last, a new voltage recorder with compact size and multifunction is developed. Also, Voltage Management System that can analyze the stored data via RS-232C cable is developed based on Windows 95 and Visual C++.
