  • Recently, personal business styles have been rapidly changed into e-business due to the rapid progress and deployment of Internet. As a result of the change, new and safe ways of payment such as electronic wallet, electronic money and electronic check have been developed and introduced. In this paper a secure and user-friendly payment method is addressed. One of most important reasons why newly developed safe payment methods are not widely used in e-business is lack of convenience for the users. On the other hand credit card based payment, which is traditional one, is the most prevailing due to the user-friendliness. However this payment also has some problem in sense of security. In this paper, we design and implement a secure credit card-based payment system using one-time credit information. The main features are "payment information must be new", "can use the old credit system", and "do not require client software".

  • This study aims to analyze the changes in purchasing decisions in conducting transactions using cash and digital payment systems. Cash payment systems are very different from digital payments because they no longer use banks as intermediaries for transactions. The scope of this study is to determine the differences that take place with purchasing decisions using digital payment systems with OVO Indonesia smart applications. By using the paired T-test sample test method and testing the regression class assumptions, it is expected we will document the comparison between cash and digital payment systems as regards changes in consumers' buying interest behavior towards goods. Data is obtained by purposive sampling using special characteristics for smart application users. The results show that digital payments are developing very quickly, but cash payments still dominate due to the unavailability of complete facilities and infrastructure to support digital payment systems other than in cities. This study illustrates that digital payments have not been able to completely change consumer buying behavior in large numbers, but the main finding in this study is an increase in the percentage of digital payment usage to the online market, due to the many conveniences provided in OVO smart applications.

  • Advances in information and communication technology have introduced self-service technologies (SSTs) to service companies, changing the way they serve. In addition, as SSTs are expanding for low cost and high efficiency, opportunities for technology to interact with consumers have increased. Restaurant managers have the advantage of the SSTs win-win strategy, which allows consumers to freely receive the products or services they want, but some consumers have low satisfaction of the SSTs, especially elder people and the blind. This study examines the effect of unmanned order payment technology on service quality evaluation. For this, we interviewed a total of 12 consumers in their 10s to 50s with the experiences of using unmanned order payment technology, applying the Grounded Theory Method(GTM). Through a review of the research participant interview materials, totally 84 concepts were derived and the concepts were analyzed to derive 15 subcategories and 10 upper categories. Finally, a paradigm model of the effect of unmanned order payment technology on service quality assessment was derived. It also found the importance of consumers' sense of obligation to use unmanned order payment technology, recognition of advantages (e.g., time savings), recognition of shadow labor, and recognition of whether the technology usage process is in the service quality assessment stage.

  • This paper introduces a new credit card payment scheme called No Number Credit Card that can significantly reduce the possibility of credit card fraud. The proposed payment system is loosely based on Kerberos, a cryptographic framework that has stood the test of time. In No Number Credit Card, instead of card numbers, only payment tokens are exchanged between the customers and merchants. The tokens are generated based on the payment amount, payment type, client information, and merchant information. However, it does not contain the credit card number, so the merchant or a database hacker cannot acquire and illegally use any credit card numbers. The No Number Credit Card system is ideal for online e-commerce transactions and can be used with any credit card that users possess. It can be used with minor modifications to the current card payment system. We provide the principles of its operation through scenario analysis, a sample implementation, and a security analysis

  • Ubiquitous computing is a study area explained in a myriad of contexts and technological terms. So when you try to define it with simple words, it gets even more confusing. Payment. however, refers in nature to an act of money transfer from one entity to another, and it is obvious that a payment method will be valued as long as the transaction can be completed with safety no matter what technology was used. In the end, the key to U-payment is convenience and security in the transfer of financial information. The purpose of this paper is to find a desirable U-payment scheme by looking at the characteristics of seamlessness under the ubiquitous environments, Strong Personal Device, and peer-based if information transactions. We also propose U-SDT Protocol integrating critical technologies such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Bluetooth, Personal Payment Device, Account Managing Application and Transaction ID as a way to make transactions between users seamless and secure better privacy protection.

  • Purpose: The scale of a market of mobile payment which was insignificant is explosively being improved by development of various communications technology and achieving rapid diffusion of smart phone. According to this phenomenon, new method of financial dealings through a mobile can be seen as a new paradigm that leads to a change of existing payment work and also recognized as an innovation of information technology. Methods: but a study regarding whether the use of mobile payment service takes an important role as an influencial factor is still insufficient. This study was based on the model of innovation resistance by Ram(1987) and established a hypothesis and a model to confirm how four factors (usability, security, economic feasibility, responsiveness) influence to innovation resistance and the intention of discontinuous use. Results: usability, security were found to be significant predictor variables of innovation resistance to use mobile payment system, but economic feasibility, responsiveness were not found to be significant predictor variables. Conclusion: Providing gave a theoretical foundation for future research in that it presents the variables to consider new forms of mobile payment services, the mobile payment services will need to show a differentiated strategy and traditional marketing strategy.

  • In this paper, functional architecture for fare payment is designed that enables IT developers to create charge-related applications using telecommunications network elements. To support a business model that enables operators to offer integrated billing, a payment and an account management API is crucial. Using this model, a fare payment service consisting of a payment service and an account management service was created. Each service is based on the architecture of parlay X web services. For the modeling of payment and of account management, the new operation of "split charging" is required in Parlay X payment web services, as is the new operation "notification".

  • In this study, we reviewed the definition of completeness and payment in SW appraisal along to being complicated requirements of the appraisal, and we also presented their meaning and computation method. The completeness in SW appraisals means the degree of functional completion of the final product, and the payment refers cost spent to develop the product. Therefore, the completeness is evaluated based on the functions or interfaces of the final product, while the payment is calculated on the outputs or expenses of development steps. Recently, SW appraisal is complicated and the requirements for completeness and payment are changing. In this paper, we review the meanings and objectives of completeness and payment and present the evaluation methods for those.

  • Since 2014, ease of regulations on financial institutions expanded the mobile payment market based on simple authentication, and this resulted in the emergence of various simple payment services. Although several security solutions have been used to mitigate possible security threats to payment applications, there are vulnerabilities which can still be found due to the structure in which the security solution is applied to the payment service. In this paper, we analyze the payment application and security solution from the process perspective, and prove through experimentation that verification functions of security solutions can be bypassed without detailed analysis of each security function, but by simply manipulating the verification result value. Finally, we propose methods to mitigate the bypass method presented in this paper from three different perspectives, and thereby contribute to the improvement of security level of the payment service.
