The author investigated interventional radiology patient doses in several other countries, assessed accuracy of DAP meters embedded in intervention equipments in domestic country, conducted measurement of patient doses for 13 major interventional procedures with use of Dose Area Product(DAP) meters from 23 hospitals in Korea, and referred to 8,415 cases of domestic data related to interventional procedures by radiation exposure after evaluation the actual effectives of dose reduction variables through phantom test. Finally, dose reference level for major interventional procedures was suggested. In this study, guidelines for patient doses were $237.7Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in TACE, $17.3Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in AVF, $114.1Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in LE PTA & STENT, $188.5Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in TFCA, $383.5Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in Aneurysm Coil, $64.6Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in PTBD, $64.6Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in Biliary Stent, $22.4Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in PCN, $4.3Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in Hickman, $2.8Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in Chemo-port, $4.4Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in Perm-Cather, $17.1Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in PCD, and $357.9Gy{\cdot}cm^2$ in Vis, EMB. Dose referenece level acquired in this study is considered to be able to use as minimal guidelines for reducing patient dose in the interventional radiology procedures. For the changes and advances of materials and development of equipments and procedures in the interventional radiology procedures, further studies and monitorings are needed on dose reference level Korean DAP dose conversion factor for the domestic procedures.

Biomedical signals using skin resistance have different characteristics according to stress diseases. Biological diagnostic devices for diagnosing stress diseases have been developed by using these characteristics, and devices have been developed so that the signals measured by the skin storage meter can be easily analyzed. Experts in the field will look directly at the output signal to determine the likelihood of any stress disorder. However, it is very difficult for a person to accurately determine whether a person to be measured has a stress disorder by analyzing a bio-signal measured by each person to be measured, and the result of the judgment is very likely to be wrong. In order to solve these problems, we implemented the function of determining the signal of a stress disorder by using the machine learning technique. SVM was used as a classification method in consideration of low computing ability of measurement equipment. Training data and test data were randomly generated for each disease using error range 5 based on 13 diseases. Simulation results showed more than 90% decision accuracy. In the future, if the measurement equipment is actually applied to the patients, we can retrain the classifier with the newly generated data.
The aim of this study is to investigate PAE, as the result of the test of kVp accuracy, according to detector measurement method. Based on the indicated value of 70kVp, each distance between a focus and a kVp meter was 100cm, 80cm and 60cm and the angle of X-ray tube was set on $5^{\circ},\;10^{\circ},\;15^{\circ},\;20^{\circ},\;25^{\circ},\;30^{\circ}$. Each indicated value, 60kVp, 70kVp, 80kVp, 90kVp and 100 kVp, was used compare Small focus with Large focus. As a result, PAE on the side of cathode was higher than it on the side of anode in the case of 100cm and PAE on the side of anode was higher in the case of 80cm and 60cm. The coefficient rate was stable both the side of cathode and anode in the case of 100cm and it was fluctuated in the case of 80cm and 60cm. PAE in the case of Small focus was higher than Large focus and it was disproportionate to an indicated value. Error rate was in inverse proportion to the indicated value.

This study aims to investigate urban inundation considering building footprints based on dual-drainage scheme. For this purpose, LiDAR data is cultivated to generate two original data set in terms of DEM with $1{\times}1$ meter and building layer of the study drainage area in Seoul and then the building layer is overlapped as vector polygon with the mesh data with the same size as DEM. Then, terrain data for modeling were re-sampled to reduce resolution as $10{\times}10$ meters. As results, the simulated depth without considering building footprints has a tendency to underestimate the inundation depth compared to observed data analized by CCTV imagery. Otherwise, the simulation result considering building footprints revealed definitely higher fitness. The difference of inundation depth came from the variation of inundation volume which was relevant to inundation extent. If the building footprints are enlarged, the possible inundation depth is increased, which results in being inundation depth higher because hydrological conditions such as rainfall depth are conservational. Otherwise, according to comparison of inundation extents, there were no significant difference but the case of considering building footprint was revealed slightly higher fitness. Thus, it is concluded that the considering building footprint for inundation analysis of urban watershed should be required to improve simulation accuracy synthetically.

In order to evaluate the precision degree of the blocks on the dock, the shipyards recently started to use the point cloud approaches using the 3D scanners. However, they hesitate to use it due to the limited time, cost, and elaborative effects for the post-works. Although it is somewhat traditional instead, they have still used the electro-optical wave devices which have a characteristic of having less dense point set (usually 1 point per meter) around the contact section of two blocks. This paper tried to expand the usage of point sets. Our approach can estimate the rework time to weld between the Pre-Erected(PE) Block and Erected(ER) block as well as the precision of block construction. In detail, two algorithms were applied to increase the efficiency of estimation process. The first one is K-mean clustering algorithm which is used to separate only the related contact point set from others not related with welding sections. The second one is the Concave hull algorithm which also separates the inner point of the contact section used for the delayed outfitting and stiffeners section, and constructs the concave outline of contact section as the primary objects to estimate the rework time of welding. The main purpose of this paper is that the rework cost for welding is able to be obtained easily and precisely with the defective point set. The point set on the blocks' outline are challenging to get the approximated mathematical curves, owing to the lots of orthogonal parts and lack of number of point. To solve this problems we compared the Radial based function-Multi-Layer(RBF-ML) and Akima interpolation method. Collecting the proposed methods, the paper suggested the noble point matching method for minimizing the rework time of block-welding on the dock, differently the previous approach which had paid the attention of only the degree of accuracy.

Doppler log and current meter are based on the measurment of the doppler effect. Ship's speed over the ground measured by means of doppler log effect of underwater ultrasonic intends to get infulence by the difference of sound velocity, the ship's course, the sea bottom inclination, the trim and tranducer installation etc. This paper investigated on the error of speed over the ground by change of the trim comparing the real speed obtained by the mile post with the speed of single beam type doppler log on the trainning ship Kyeongyangho. The results are as follows ; 1. Indicating speed of doppler log is very much greatly influenced on variation of trim, but the real speed is less affected variation by trim. 2. The range of variation and error of speed over ground are smallest when ship's trim is 2.15m trim by the stern.
The pollen dispersal by wind can make an important to understanding the viability and evolution of plants in ecological and agricultural science. Modelling can be applied to evaluate concerns about the spread of engineered pollens from genetically modified (GM) crops. Here, we are using gamma model to estimate the level of dispersal distance of pollen in the cross-pollination between two different maize (Zea mays L.) cultivars in GMO field of Korea University during the year 2010. The result of estimation of model indicates maximum pollen dispersal distance of estimated proportion of cross-pollination of maize was reached to 0.1% in 525 meter northwest due to the wind. We identify further measurements necessary to improve the accuracy of the model predictions.
Background: There are many situations where walking in an actual community needs to change direction along with walking on a straight path, and this situation needs to be reflected in assessing walking ability of the community. Therefore, in this study, we tried to determine whether the assessments can distinguish the level of walking in the community. Design: Retrospective cohort study. Methods: Fifty-two survivors with chronic stroke have participated in the study. According to the evaluation result of 10mWT, the subjects of 0.8m/s and above were classified as the group who could walk in the community (n=22), and the subjects of 0.4m/s~0.8m/s were classified into the group who could not walk in the community (n=30). Modified Rivermead Mobility Index, Postural Assessment Scale for Stroke, Fugl-Meyer Assessment, Berg Balance Scale, 10-meter Walk Test (10mWT) were used to evaluate the motor skills. Furthermore, Activities-specific Balance Confidence Scale was used to evaluate psychological factors, and Timed Up & Go Test (TUG), Figure-of-Eight Walk Test (F8WT), Four Square Step Test (FSST), Step Test (ST) were applied to evaluate dynamic balance and mobility. Results: As a result for distinguishing walking levels in the community, TUG was 14.25 seconds, F8WT was 13.34 seconds, FST was 19.43 seconds, and ST of affected side and non-affected side were 6.5 points and 7.5 points, respectively. TUG (AUC=0.923), F8WT (AUC=0.905), and FST (AUC=0.941) were highly accurate, but the ST of affected side and non-affected side (AUC=0.806, 0.705) showed the accuracy of the median degree, respectively. Conclusion: To distinguish walking levels in the community of survivors with chronic stroke, TUG and FSST have been found to be the best assessment tool, and in particular, FSST could be very valuable in clinical use as the most important assessment tool to distinguish walking levels in the community.
A time variable modeling study was performed for seasonal variations of vertical temperature profiles in the Okjung Lake located in upstream of the Sumjin River. Based on the model structure of the US Army Corps of Engineer's CE-QUAL-W2, the lake was divided into 3 branches, 50 longitudinal segments and 49 vertical layers and vertical profiles of water temperature and current velocity were simulated over one year. The model results were calibrated and verified against vertical profiles of water temperature measured every month from March 1998 to February 1999 at 5 different locations. The model results showed a good agreement with the field measurements. The hydrologic balance during this period was validated by comparing the simulated values of surface elevation level with the measured data. There was some discrepancy in July data between the model results and the fleld measurements. This could be attributed partially to the inadequacy of the model to the highly hydrodynamic nature of water body and partially to the lack of accuracy in local atmospheric temperature data during summer monsoon period. The model results have shown that there was no seasonal over-turn in most part of the Okjung Lake, where water temperature maintained above $4^{\circ}C$ over one year. In the upstream shal-low area (depth<20 meter), however, temperature at surface layer fell below $4^{\circ}C$ and water was frozen such that slight over-turn would occur during winter period. From this study, we concluded that the Okjung Lake is oligomictic. This conclusionis significantly different from the general pattern that the lakes located from $20^{\circ}C$ to $40^{\circ}C$ latitude would be warm monomictic. From the examination of simulated current velocity distribution, it was found that the upstream inflows would infiltrate into mesolimnion of the lake during hydrodynamic summer monsoon periods due to the thermal density of water.

An automatic flow and water quality monitoring system was applied to estimate pollutant loads to an urban stream during storm events in DTV (Daeduk Techno Valley), Daejeon, Korea. The monitoring system consists of rainfall gage, ultrasonic water level meter, water quality sensors for DO, temperature, pH, conductivity, turbidity and automatic water sampler for further laboratory analysis. All data are transmitted through on-line system and the monitoring system is designed to be controlled manually in the field and remotely from laboratory computer. Flow rates were verified with field measurements during storm events and showed good agreements. Automatic sampler was used to collect real time samples and analyzed for BOD, COD, TN, TP, SS and other pollutant concentrations in the laboratory. SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) urban watershed model was applied and calibrated using the observed flow and water quality data for the study area. While flow modeling results showed good agreement for all events, water quality modeling results showed variable levels of agreement. These results indicate that current options in the SWMM model to predict pollutant build up and wash-off effects are not sufficient to satisfy modeling of all the rainfall events under study and thus need further modification. This study showed the automatic monitoring system can be used to provide data to assist further refinement of modeling accuracy. This automatic stormwater monitoring and modeling system can be used to develop basin scale water quality management strategies of urban streams in storm events.
