그림책화면에서 나타나는 시각적 의미형성은 전달하고자 하는 현상이나 메시지를 직접적으로 보여주는 것뿐만 아니라 다른 이미지를 더하거나 과장, 축소하여 대상의 속성이나 특성을 보다 쉽고 빠르게 이해시켜줄 수 있다는 점에서 독창적인 표현방법이 된다. 본 연구는 어린이그림책에서 나타나는 은유적 표현방식이 어린이에게 시각적 심리적으로 어떻게 작용하는지 분석하기 위하여 먼저, 시각적 은유특성과 표현형식에 대한 이론적 고찰을 통해 그림책일러스트레이션의 표현방법에 대한 범주화의 틀을 마련하였다. 또한 실증조사를 통해 어린이의 시각적 심리적 지각반응을 명확하게 도출하기 위하여 표현형식을 2가지 유형으로 구분하고, 이를 심층면접의 설문자료로 활용하여 유형별 어린이의 언어적 심리적 반응을 분석하였다. 끝으로 본 연구가 제시한 결론은 일러스트레이터의 개성과 창의성이 바탕이 된 화면제작에 도움이 됨은 물론, 일러스트레이션을 배우는 학생들에게 효과적인 표현방법연구와 실험에 활용될 것으로 사료된다.

This study analyzed metaphorical characteristics of composite materials in terms of a visual aspect on a new material that is applicable for housing space. The results are as follows. First, the recent trend of housing space tends to stimulate emotions of residents through visual finishing materials, and for this reason, visual expression of a new material that is applicable to finishing materials plays an important role. Second, convertibleness, association and duplicity were selected as items of metaphorical expressions through the precedent studies. Third, most of combinations of materials were shown different from the existing materials in an expressive characteristic of composite materials through analysis, and application of a technology showed a different visual effect of patterns and textures from the existing materials. This implies that visual expression and directing are being attempted using such technology on finishing materials of housing space with development of digital technologies. Fourth, for metaphorical characteristics of composite material for housing space, combination of various materials and a digital technology were applied on convertibleness. For association, a combination of materials that have each different characteristic associated with the third material, and combination with subsidiary material of optical fiber and a digital technology were appled for duplicity. Data obtained from the results of this study has high efficiency in planning finishing materials for emotional housing space in future, and it will be basic data for a study on development of new finishing materials.

To begin with, this research arranged this concepts by analyzing paper a reference paper. So, the theory was arranged by approaching the ideal, formative and contemporary side. In order to type characteristics expression of organic design, after year 2000 printed in "Interiors" journal analyzed the contents based on interior works. 1. A type of metaphorical expression, order and the imitations of animals and plants. 2. A type of non liner, and dynamical balance and irregularity. 3. A type of mass of indeterminate form. 4. A type of fluidity by a curved line and a curved surface.

Objective: The goal of this study is to examine child care center teachers'awareness of parents through a metaphor analysis. Methods: Metaphorical expressions and reason-statements were collected from 276 teachers. Metaphor analysis was used through categorizing and assorting by meanings. Results: The teachers' metaphorical image expressions of parents were analyzed by using 13 metaphorical expression words and 3 categories which included, influence on teacher's attitudes, parent-teacher relationships, and parents' attitudes. Metaphorical image expressions that had a high ratio were 'a companion' and 'a client.' First, child care center teachers had images of parents that parents provide courageous energy to them, and images of clients who demand service instead of being parents. Second, child care center teachers had images of parents that parents cooperate with teachers for the sake of their children. Third, child care teachers had images of parents that parents need help with their children. Conclusion/Implications: This study suggests that teachers will be able to positively correct their awareness of cooperative parent-teacher relationships by reviewing their metaphorical expressions of parental images.

본 연구의 목적은 어린이집 교사들의 역할놀이에 대한 은유의 경향과 은유의 의미를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 A지역 대학 보수교육에 참여한 어린이집 교사 166명을 대상으로 문장 완성형 은유 방법을 활용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집한 자료는 은유분석에 관한 선행연구에 기초하여 유아교육전문가 2인이 질적 연구의 방법을 활용한 범주화의 과정을 거쳐 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 역할놀이 은유의 경향은 3개 범주, 8개의 내용으로 분류되었으며, 3개 범주는 '사회성 발달', '정서발달', '발달'의 순서로 빈도가 높게 나타났다. 8개의 내용 중 '사회성 발달' 범주에서는 '모방'이 가장 빈도가 높게 나타났고 '정서발달' 범주에서는 '정서표현'이 가장 높은 빈도를 나타냈다. '발달' 범주에서는 '발달의 필수요인'이 단독내용으로 나타났다. 둘째, 역할놀이 은유의 의미는 먼저 '사회성 발달' 범주에서는 '사회적 기술', '역할체험', '모방', '사회이해'의 의미, '정서발달' 범주에서는 '상상력', '정화작용', '정서표현'의 의미, '발달' 범주에서는 '발달의 필수요인'으로 인식하고 있었다. 연구결과를 기초로 하여 유아교육기관에서 이루어지는 역할놀이의 가치와 교사의 역할에 대한 재조명이 필요함을 논의하였다.

As a free creature that can fly in the sky, the bird has been an object of admiration and mystery and a mediator between human beings and the heavens. This study aims to clarify the aesthetic value of birds through study of the various expressions of the bird image on clothing and by the formative will of designers. Based on the general examination of the bird image through the study of documents, this study is composed of a case analysis, which reveals on modern fashion designs. Additionally, the forms of expression of the bird image are organized according to the stereoscopic expression of shaping, the relief expression of handicraft decoration, the flat expression of surface design, and the characteristic expression of wings and feathers. The aesthetic characteristics revealed by the expression patterns are metaphorical symbolism, surrealistic humor, lyrical naturalness, and fantastical femininity. Since antiquity, the bird image continuously recreated by artists has offered aesthetic value in terms of formativeness in the external form and symbolism in the internal form. This study would help to understand the diversity of creation in contemporary fashion design.

본 연구는 언더웨어 브랜드 광고를 직접적 섹스어필 광고와 은유적 섹스어필 광고로 구분하여 비교 분석을 시도하였다. 섹스어필 광고 표현의 차이에 따른, 광고태도, 브랜드 태도, 구매의도를 성별, 디자인 전공 여부를 중심으로 통계 분석하여 효과적인 광고 표현의 가능성을 모색하였다. 연구결과 언더웨어 브랜드의 특성상 직접적 섹스어필 광고가 여성에게 효과가 높다는 결론을 도출하였다. 또한 은유적 섹스어필 광고에 대해 남성이 광고 태도 및 브랜드 태도, 구매의도에 높은 호감도를 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다. 디자인 전공 여부에 따라서는 직접적 섹스어필 광고와 은유적 섹스어필 광고 선호도는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 언더웨어 광고에서 직접적 섹스어필 광고의 경우 섹스어필이 상품의 이미지와 조화될 때 여성에게 효과를 극대화 시킬 수 있다는 점을 확인할 수 있었으며, 남성은 언더웨어 브랜드광고에서 은유적 섹스어필 표현에 관심을 보이고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Centered on Kathleen Kye, a designer who conveyed messages on social issues through her dresses, and established her own identity, this study aimed to examine what theme, method of expression and inner meaning her 'statement' had, as a way of expressing a critical awareness. After reviewing discussions by Duggan G. G. as well as dictionary definitions, statement fashion design can be defined as a work or fashion shows containing a message of a designer who is free from a particular trend or consumerism in various social issues. Statement fashion designers give opposing messages on social issues through their fashion collections. As a result, research shows that contemporary statement fashion designers are expressing themes of a fashion systems, fetishism, body image, collision, environment, as well as the socially disadvantaged by appropriation, reuse, slogan, metaphorical pattern and performance. Satire, awakening, challenge and support can be derived from the inner meaning of contemporary statement fashion design. In terms of the theme, method of expression and inner meaning, this study showed that KYE collection of the designer Kathleen Kye expresses critical awareness on the modern society. Research findings reveal that KYE collection include the following themes: long-term youth unemployment, conflict collision in war or on the Internet, fetishism by youth in a get-rich-quick fever, environmental issue causing destruction of an ecosystem by decrease in bee population, school violence and the socially disadvantaged related to alienated immigrants. Also, as a method of expression themes, such as metaphorical patterns, were used. The patterns used images including a skeleton, gun, heart, rope, plaster, homeless box, bee, honeycomb, chain and a slot machine. On the other hand, the inner meaning of statement in KYE collection showed satire on social issues, awakening on social issues unrecognized by the masses, and support for the socially disadvantaged.

This thesis is to argue what is the meaning of the expression of cherry blossoms appearing in "Genjimonogatari(源氏物語)" in relation with the structure of Monogatari after checking each example. First we reviewed some examples of the works before "Genjimonogatari", and clarified that cherry blossoms were used as metaphorical expressions of a beautiful woman in waka(和歌), and that at the same time cherry blossoms functioned as the symbol of futility, anxiety together with beauty. Especially in "Kokinshu(古今集)" we identified that there increased the examples where the combination of the expression as falling cherry blossoms, and fog and cherry blossoms was done. In "Genjimonogatari" we examined the examples of cherry blossoms of Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and clarified that Murasakinoue(紫の上) was a woman with an ideal character in looks and inner personality through the diverse viewpoints of characters. In Monogatari of Kashiwagi(柏木) of Chapter 2, the scene where he peeped Onnasannomiya(女三宮) was composed by the combination of cherry blossoms and fog, and we pointed out that we could feel the anxiety, ominousness of the love of the couple through this scene. And the composition of these scenes was also repeated in Monogatari of Chapter 3, and we discussed through these examples that the figurative expressions of cherry blossoms were used about the object of the love not to be realized. Next, we checked that Yugiri(夕霧) who had observed Kashiwagi's love toward Onnasannomiya gave a figurative expression of Kashiwagi's wife Ochibanomiya(落葉の宮) as cherry blossoms. Although Genji(源氏) realized Onnasannomiya's immaturity, Kashiwagi compared her to "cherry blossoms", and Yoogiri compared the woman whom Kashiwagi recognized as "Ochiba(落葉)" to "cherry blossoms", through which we have read the twisted human relation and ironical structure of Chaper 2. Finally, we checked the examples of cherry blossoms in Ooigimi(大君), Nakanokimi(中君), Ukihune(浮舟) who were Ujijujo's heroines. Ooigimi and Nakanokimi were expressed as cherry blossoms by Kaoru(?) and Nioumiya(?宮) and were disclosed as their ideal women. In contrast, Ukihune had something to do with two men with no such figurative expression, so it was pointed out that the absence of such metaphorical expression clarified that the meaning of her existence was nothing but the meaning as a mesiudo(召人).

This study considers expression techniques and aesthetic values in the images of head dress reflected in a natural motif. The conclusions of the study are as follows. The first type is the realistic expression (52.4%) such as the reproduction of a natural object's essential form (27.0%), the partial derivation of the natural object (19.3%), and the planarization for the actual image of the natural object (6.1%). The second type is a metaphorical expression (39.0%) which emphasizes the morphological characteristics of nature (18.2%), the structuration of the natural object's silhouette into a three-dimensional or two-dimensional form (11.5%), and the abstract expression of the form in the natural object (9.3%). The third type is a hybrid expression (8.6%) that is a compromise between practical (or metaphorical expressions) so that expression techniques represent a compromise between the natural object's essential form and abstract expression (4.6%) or the combination of the natural object's silhouette into a three-dimensional or a two-dimensional visualization (4.0%). Aesthetic head dress values reflected in the natural motif first indicate a primitive value. This state of natural instinct recreates the natural object or combines part of the biological elements of the natural object to create an inducement to escape from the practical world. The second is amusement in the expression of animals in dynamic and humorous forms creates an illusion of animals being alive with a representative playful enjoyment. The third is abstraction that grant freedom in the observer's aesthetic rational through a reinterpretation of the fashion designer. The fourth is eclecticism where a compromise represents an act of mixing a variety of independent factors to create harmony with the imagery of nature created through the grafting of diverse expression techniques that break away from stereotypes of existing natural objects to create a type of nature that cultivates new values.
