  • CAS(Conditional Access System) was developed for paid-for service in cable and fixed satellite broadcast system and technology and market maturity are high. However, these assessment is limited by CAS in fixed broadcasting system. In case of digital mobile broadcast such as T-DMB is difficult to apply CAS technology of fixed broadcasting system because of a use method and technology characteristic. Expecially, in case T-DMB using limited resources, a CAS message which must transmit in each service channel can cause problems. It is desirable that system transmits the CAS message which transmitted by each service channel through logical CAS message-only channel. In order to make a logical CAS message channel, we need a multiplexing techniques for CAS message using in each channel. In this paper, we design the CAS message multiplexing techniques for composition of CAS message-only channel.

  • Today's computing environment which is getting distributed to communicate with various systems needs dynamic inter-connectivity of the systems. MOM(Message Oriented Middleware) is popularly used for transmitting XML messages among the distributed systems for the inter-connectivity. But, they do not support event-based message routing functionalities with XML transformation for processing effective message routing, which is essential to inter-connectivity, and there is no integrated platform to cope with these requirements. Although event-based message routing and XML transformation have been studied in a wide range of computer science areas, development of message routing systems is considered as a tough job due to the technological difficulties. In order to address these requirements, we proposed a novel system, named RMRS(Rule-based Message Routing System), which supports event-based message routing as well as XML message transformation. To make the proposed system easy to use, we also redesigned ECA(Event- Condition-Action) rule to fit in our system and developed a tool to map source XML structure into target XML structure.

  • This paper presents the Korean text-to-speech (TTS) algorithm with speed and intonation control capability, and describes the development of the Voice message delivery system employing this TTS algorithm. This system allows the Interpersonal Messaging (IPM) Service users of Message Handling System (MHS) to send his/her text messages to user via telephone line using synthetic voice. In the X.400 MHS recommendation, the protocols and service elements are not specified for the voice message delivery system. Thus, we defined access protocol and service elements for Voice Access Unit based on the application program interface for message transfers between X.400 Message Transfer Agent and Voice Access Unit. The system architecture and operations will be provided.

  • We have developed and tested a prototype system to process transient alert messages from the currently working facilities such as Gaia and GCN notices. Our experiments with the prototype focus on developing a platform that can be used in the LSST era with about 10 million alerts per night and helping Korean community members with the automated processing environment to provide auxiliary information for every alert message. The system consists of a message broker implemented by Redis and multiple message subscribers specialized for specific scientific interests. The current implementation of the entire system allows new Korean members to adopt their own processing chains receiving the messages from our local broker. We welcome experimental ideas and opinions from the Korean community about the current message processing system. We plan to test the current system with the ZTF alerts in the near future.

  • In this paper, we have studied a new method in which multimedia message can be processed effectively in SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)-based Instant Messaging service. Total system is composed of multimedia message server, presence server and user system. To provide effectively message informations such as number of messages stored in the multimedia message server, waiting status and message types to users, we have proposed a new method which can be a substitute for message waiting indication event package. In our proposed method, when changes of messages status informations occur, these informations are sent to the presence server, and can be transferred as a separate tag within notification message. The presence server processes subscription requests and notifications, and efficiency can be improved as it provides both message status informations and several communication status informations such as on-line status to service users. Partial publication is used in our system to improve data transfer efficiency more between user system and the presence server. The performance of our proposed model is evaluated by experiments measuring multimedia message transfer speed and server processing time.

  • E-Commerce, characterized by the exchange of message, occurs between individuals, organizations, or both. A critical promotion factor of e-Commerce is message authentication, the procedure that allows communicating parties to verify the received messages are authentic. It consists of message unforgery, message non-repudiation, message unalteration, and origin authentication. It is possible to perform message authentication by the use of public key encryption. PGP(Pretty Good Privacy) based on X.400 MHS(Message Handling System) and PKC(Public Key Cryptosystem) makes extensive use of message exchange. In this paper we propose, design and implement NMAP(New Message Authentication Protocol), an applied public information based encryption system to solve the message authentication problem inherent in public key encryption such as X.400 protocol and PGP protocol and were to cope with the verification of NMAP using fuzzy integral. This system is expected to be use in the promotion of the e-Commerce and can perform a non-interactive authentication service.

  • In this paper, an intelligent notification system has been presented. The system operates on both wired and wireless internet. When a new message has been uploaded in a bulletin board systems(BBS) on HTTP web server, it sends the same message to their cellular phones of all members of a given group at the same time via SMS(Short Message Service). In addition, on reading SMS message, those who read them respond to a WAP server using pulling technique via wireless internet. Therefore, the HTTP server does know the members who did not read the message yet. Two different web servers, the HTTP server and the WAP server, running on a single system has been implemented. They share the single database which covers al1 related information about the BBS. The set of experiments shows that the notification system works well as we have expected Thus, we conclude that the proposed system that operates on both wired and wireless internet is the one of successful model for such environments.

  • Security is very important in EC(Electronic Commerce) environment because exchanged information(that is transaction details, private data, charges data(card-no, accounts), etc) is various and is very sensitive. So, In this paper, we propose Secure-ReXpis(Reliable St excellent Xh3 Processing Infrastructure) System that transfer message and support Message Level Security(Encryption/Decryption and Digital Signature). And we implement Message Confidentiality Service, User Authentication & Message Integrity Service and Non-Repudiation Service among the various Security Services. This system support XML message format and EDI message, WEB Data and Private Format Data, etc.

  • Link-K message is the Tactical Data Link message standard developed by the Agency for Defense Development which is optimized for the Joint Operation of ROK Armed Force. KMTF message is the standard message format of Battle Management Information System. Interconversion and propagation between these messages are definitely needed to have efficient warfare such as situation data propagation using network, the convergence of collected situation data, common situational awareness, cooperative engagement. Therefore, this study suggests a way of rule and process for format conversion between Link-K and KMTF messages.

  • Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs) have become one of the active areas of research, standardization, and development because they have tremendous potentials to improve vehicle and road safety, traffic efficiency, and convenience as well as comfort to both drivers and passengers. However, message trustfulness is a challenge because the propagation of false message by malicious vehicles induces unreliable and ineffectiveness of VANETs, Therefore, we need a reliable reputation method to ensure message trustfulness. In this paper, we consider a vulnerability against the Sybil attack of the previous reputation systems based on blockchain and suggest a new reputation system which resists against Sybil attack on the previous system. We propose an initial authentication process as a countermeasure against a Sybil attack and provide a reliable reputation with a cooperative message delivery to cope with message omission. In addition, we use Homomorphic Commitment to protect the privacy breaches in VANETs environment.
