음의 포아송비 거동 격자체로 보강한 시멘트 복합체의 압축특성 실험평가 (Experimental Evaluation of Compressive Characteristics of Cementitious Composites Reinforced by Auxetic Mesh)

  • 본 연구는 압축하중 하의 콘크리트에 음의 포아송비 거동 격자체를 보강함으로서 역학적 특성에 효과가 있는지를 검토하였다. 이중화살촉 형상의 2차원 음의 포아송비 격자체를 종류별로 제작하여 콘크리트 시험체에 매립하였다. 압축시험을 수행한 결과, 음의 포아송비 격자체를 콘크리트에 매립함으로써 콘크리트의 변형을 구속함에 의해 복합체의 강성을 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • In the global ship structure and vibration analysis, the FE(finite element) analysis model is required in the early design stage before the 3D CAD model is defined. And the analysis model generation process is a time-consuming job and takes much more time than the engineering work itself. In particular, ship structure has too many associated structural members such as stringers, stiffness and girders etc. These structural members should be satisfied as the constraints in analysis modeling. Therefore it is necessary to support generation of analysis model with satisfying these constraints as an automatic manner. For the effective support of the global ship analysis modeling, a method to generate analysis model using initial design information within ship design process, that hull form offset data and compartment data, is developed. In order to easily handle initial design information and FE model information, flexible data structure is proposed. An automatic quadrilateral mesh generation algorithm using initial design information to satisfy the constraints imposed on the ship structure is also proposed. The proposed data structure and mesh generation algorithm are applied for the various type of vessels for the usability test. Through this test, we have verified the stability and usefulness of this system including mesh generation algorithm.

  • 본 연구는 음의 포아송비 거동을 가지는 격자체의 구조부재 보강재로의 적용이 가능한지에 대한 검토를 수행하였다. 콘크리트를 포함한 일반적인 재료는 외부 하중의 작용 시 양의 포아송비 거동을 가진다. 이러한 콘크리트의 역학적 거동을 음의 포아송비 특성을 가지는 금속 격자체가 구속함으로써 콘크리트의 강성을 증대시킬 수 있음을 이론적으로 확인하였다. 또한 실제 건설산업에 적용이 가능한 수준의 음의 포아송비 거동을 가지는 격자체의 형식을 제시, 역학적 거동 특성을 수치 해석적으로 검토하였다.

의탄성 형상기억합금 메쉬 와셔가 적용된 수동형 진동절연기의 수학적 등가모델 도출 (Derivation of Numerical Equivalent Model of Vibration Isolator using Pseudoelastic SMA Mesh Washer)

  • A passive launch and on-orbit vibration isolator using SMA(Shape Memory Alloy) washer for both the structural safety of the micro-vibration source by attenuating the transmitted force under launch loads and the micro-vibration isolation during their on-orbit operation has been proposed, which does not require the additional launch locking mechanism. To measure the characteristics of SMA mesh washer, we performed compressive loading tests with a single SMA mesh washer and a vibration isolator using SMA mesh washer. The numerical equivalent model of vibration isolator using SMA mesh washer composed of two spring and viscous damping elements has been verified that both stiffness and viscous damping varied with respect to compressed deformations. In addition, the effectiveness of launch loads and micro-vibration reduction has been investigated through the dynamic characteristics measurement test of cooler assembly combined with passive vibration isolator.

Variable-node axisymmetric solid element and its application to adaptive mesh refinement

  • This paper presents an effective application of a variable-node axisymmetric solid element designated as AQV (Axisymmetric Quadrilateral Variable-node element). The variable-node element with physical midside nodes helps to overcome some problems in connecting the different layer patterns on a quadrilateral mesh in the adaptive h-refinement. This element alleviates the necessity of imposing displacement constraints on irregular (hanging) nodes in order to enforce the inter-element compatibility. Therefore, the elements with variable mid-side nodes can be used effectively in the local mesh refinement for the axisymmetric structures which have stress concentrations. A modified Gaussian quadrature should be adopted to evaluate the stiffness matrices of the variable-node elements mainly because of the slope discontinuity of assumed displacement within the elements. Some numerical examples show the usefulness of variable-node axisymmetric elements in the practical application.

Behavior of repaired RAC beam-column joints using steel welded wire mesh jacketed with cement mortar

  • In this paper three damaged exterior RC beam-column joints made of recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) were repaired. The aim of the study was to restore back the lost capacity of the beam-column joint to the original state or more. A relatively cheap material locally available galvanized steel welded wire mesh (GSWWM) of grid size 25 mm was used to confine the damaged region and then jacketed with cement mortar. Repaired specimens were also subjected to similar cyclic displacement as those of unrepaired specimens. Seismic parameters such as load carrying capacity, ductility, energy dissipation, stiffness degradation etc. were analyzed. Results show that repaired specimens exhibited better seismic performance and hence the adopted repairing strategies could be considered as satisfactory. These findings would be helpful to the field engineers to adopt a suitable rapid and cost efficient repairing technique for restoring the damaged frame structural joints for post earthquake usage.

볼 베어링의 강성과 스퍼기어 계의 모드 특성 (Mode Characteristics of Spur Gears and Ball-Bearing Stiffness)

  • 기어 맞물림 동적 힘은 축과 베어링을 통해 하우징에 전달되어 소음으로 발생하므로, 베어링 강성은 하우징의 최종 전달자로서 기어 소음을 제어하는데 중요한 역할을 한다. 이 논문은 스퍼기어를 위한 볼 베어링의 강성을 유도하고, 베어링 하중과 반경 방향 틈새를 고려하여 강성을 계산하였다. 그 강성을 이용하여 3 자유도 모델의 스퍼기어계의 운동방정식에 적용하여 모드 특성을 해석하였고, 유한요소법으로 검증하였다. 그 결과 베어링 하중이 클 때보다 작을 때는 틈새에 따라 베어링 강성의 변화가 많았다. 베어링 강성은 저주파 고유 진동수에 영향을 주었고 기어 맞물림 주파수는 고주파 고유진동수에 영향을 주었다.
