  • In this paper, the pattern of extracting the same expression is proposed by using the Android intelligent device to identify the facial expression. The understanding and expression of expression are very important to human computer interaction, and the technology to identify human expressions is very popular. Instead of searching for the symbols that users often use, you can identify facial expressions with a camera, which is a useful technique that can be used now. This thesis puts forward the technology of the third data is available on the website of the set, use the content to improve the infrastructure of the facial expression recognition accuracy, to improve the synthesis of neural network algorithm, making the facial expression recognition model, the user's facial expressions and similar expressions, reached 66%. It doesn't need to search for symbols. If you use the camera to recognize the expression, it will appear symbols immediately. So, this service is the symbols used when people send messages to others, and it can feel a lot of convenience. In countless symbols, there is no need to find symbols, which is an increasing trend in deep learning. So, we need to use more suitable algorithm for expression recognition, and then improve accuracy.

  • Analyzing the Book of Changes, researchers noted that animals and plants utilized as symbols in the Book of Changes were later used as medicinals in East Asian medicine. They found 24 animals and plants utilized as symbols in the Book of Changes; specifically in six statements on the hexagrams and 53 statements on the lines. The animal and plant symbols in 59 statements are more clearly interpreted with the descriptions in the Compendium of Materia Medica. Eleven plants referenced in the Book of Changes were written with their nicknames, causing confusion to the researchers of later times. Using the Compendium of Materia Medica however, these plants can be identified. Livestock were mentioned 34 times among the 59 statements, with horse and cattle being the most often at eight times, each. They are subdivided according to their sex and color. The writers of the Book of Changes constructed an elaborate symbol system with the animals that are familiar to people, and which, through this research, has been decoded through cross references to the Compendium of Material Medica.

  • Web-based virtual collaboration is increasingly gaining popularity in almost every area in our society due to the fact that it can bridge the gap imposed by time and geographical constraints. However, in medical field, such collaboration has been less popular than other fields. Some of the reasons were timeliness, security, and preciseness of the information they are dealing with. In this paper, we are proposing a web-based distributed medical collaboration system called Virtual Collaboration System for Medicine (VCSM) for medical doctors that meet the needs. The proposed system consists of two parts - multimedia presentation and recordable virtual collaboration. The former supports synchronized multimedia presentation using Synchronous Multimedia Integration Language (SMIL.) It allows synchronization of the contents of a PowerPoint presentation file and a video file. The presentation may be provided to the participants before the discussion begins. Next, in the virtual collaboration stage, participants can use text along with associated symbols during the discussion over the presented medical images. The symbols such as arrows or polygons can be set or removed dynamically to represent areas of interest in digital images using so called layered architecture that separates image layer from annotation layer. XML files are used to record participants' opinions along with the symbols over some particular images

  • This study measured the signal intensity (SI) of the hippocampus in relation to memory via fMRI analysis of 3 types of radiology symbols, 3 types of nuclear medicine symbols, and 3 types of oncology symbols among the most commonly employed medical symbols in hospitals. The following are the conclusions of the study. result of analyzing the SI values for symbol 1, symbol 2, and symbol 3 of the radiology, nuclear medicine, and oncology departments, symbol 3 had the highest SI value (1.72 ± 0.56) in radiology, symbol 2 had the highest SI value (1.69 ± 0.64) in nuclear medicine, and symbol 2 had the highest SI value (1.64 ± 0.63) in oncology. The overall mean of radiology, nuclear medicine, and oncology symbols was 1.62 ± 0.60 for nuclear medicine, 1.61 ± 0.59 for oncology, and 1.49 ± 0.49 for radiology. According to the overall SI measurement results, symbol 3 in radiology, symbol 2 in nuclear medicine, and symbol 2 in oncology were confirmed to have high SI values. If symbols with high SI values are used in a hospital, it is believed to be beneficial for navigating in any hospital.

  • The medicine through I-Ching(The Book of Changes, 易經) is a field of the medical science, which studies physiology, pathology and Yin-Yang philosophy. From ancient times so many scholars have studied I Ching and they are divided into two different school. one is the school of Image and Number(象數學派), the other is the school of reason(義理學派). Da-San Jung Yak-Yong(茶山 丁若鏞) is a distinguished scholar in the I-Ching study, and he had a unique opinion in the analysis about sentences of I Ching. He has done his best to make 'Image and Number(象數)' harmonize with reason(義理). I Ching is the book about changes, which includes everything like natural phenomena, human body and mind. So we can understand human physiology and pathology through I Ching. But it's important to understand it was organized by symbols. The main symbols are Ba-Gua(八卦), 12 Bi-Gua, Zai-Ruo-zhi-Gua(再閏之卦), 50 Yan-Gua(50衍卦) and these symbols originated from the imagess of the four seasons. The image of 12 Bi-Gua coincide with 12 jing-lao(經絡), the images of Zai-Ruo-zhi-Gua(再閏之卦) coinside with Ren-mai(任脈), Du-mai(督脈). 12 Bi-Gua and Zai-Ruo-zhi-Gua(再閏之卦) are fundamental stuffs, on the other hand 50 Yan-Gua(50衍卦) is an application of every phenomenon.

  • In this paper, we present the design strategy of the assistive communication system to be able to communicate or the mute and speech disorder under the restricted circumstances. To be used conveniently in daily life, first, a specific domain should be set according to circumstance, and second, proper words in each domain should be selected according to physical, mental ability of user. As the design process of this system should be reflected by the abilities of user, each word is represented as symbols, transparently. The sentences are compounded from symbols. Compounded sentences are showed on display in letters, and synthesized naturally in voice in order to be understood easy.

  • Objectives : By comparing the correspondence of Three Eums and Yangs (三陰三陽) to calendr in ${\ulcorner}Somun\;Make'ae{\lrcorner}$ with twelve principal divinatory symbols, this paper intends to explain the exterior and interior of meridian system using the phenomena of the trigrams from Juyeok(卦). It also tries to relate the phenomena of the trigrams with the characteristics of the original Gi (本氣) of Three Em and Yangs tough the interpretation of Three Eums and Yangs assigned to twelve principal divinatory symbols. Methods : This paper compares the correspondence of Three Eums and Yangs to calendar in ${\ulcorner}Somun\;Make'ae{\lrcorner}$ with twelve principal divinatory symbols. By this, it traces the making of the exterior and interior relationship between Taeeum (太陰)-Yangmyeong (陽明), Soeum (少陰)-Taeyang (太陽), and Gworeum (厥陰)-Soyang (少陽) through the phenomena of trigrams assigned to Three Eums and Yangs. It also interprets Three Em and Yangs assigned to twelve principal divinatory symbols, using the original Gi of the six atmospheric influences(六氣). Results and Conclusions : Three Eums and Yangs in ${\ulcorner}Somun\;Make'ae{\lrcorner}$ signify the six meridians of the leg. Soeum (少陰) is assigned to October in ${\ulcorner}Somun\;Make'ae{\lrcorner}$ but it is more appropriate to assign it to July. If Soeum (少陰) is assigned to July, Three Eums and Yangs have phenoma of the trigrams with Em and Yang lines (陽爻) counter to each other, and can be explained as the exterior and interior relationship. lastly, in case of Three Eums and Yangs assigned to twelve principal divinatory symbols, the phenomena of the trigrams can be interpreted as the original Gi of Three Eums and Yangs.

  • Objectives : To provide foundation for research on local medical examination of the Ming period, the contents on 'He who does not know Yi(易) cannot speak of medicine' in the Yixuetongzong(醫學統宗) written by He Jian was analyzed. Methods : Proofreading of the original texts, followed by interpretation of words and phrase and translation into Korean were done. The resulting contents were then analyzed from the perspective of the theory of Medical Yi(Yi-Yi). Results : In this medical exam paper for physicians, He answers himself on topics such as the Four Symbols[四象], Eight Symbols[八象], the Sixty-four hexagrams[Liushisigua], the combinations of the Organs and Bowels[Zangfu], Nine Orifices[Jiuqiao], and Five Body Parts[Wuti], the origin of the pulse, the reasoning behind calling the pulse 'the station for blood[xuezhifu]', what the 'Tianzhen Weihezhi Qi' stands for and the meaning of the Twelve Organs[shierguan]. He also supports the perspective of the 'Medicine and Yi having the same roots[Yi-yi tongyuan]', arguing that due to this, the body's physiology could be explained through the theories of Yi[易]. This shows that He understood the Yi-yi theory as a larger category. Conclusions :He's medical exam paper reflects his uniqueness in the field of the Yi-yi theory that precedes that of Zhao Xianke.
