  • It is said that the highlight in the media covergence and integration within digital environment era is 'Contents'. Due to the advent of new media and various covergence and integration services, the competition between the platforms has become aggressive. As a result, it is predicted that the negotiation power of a 'Content's industry will be strengthened. In reality, the actual environmental changes in the media environment have accompanied elements of industrial crisis rather than opportunity to expand the market. The changes are especially causing sales structure distortion and proceeds deterioration in the Korean film industry. Moreover, telecommunication and broadcasting businesses are making their entrance into the film industry, through the appearance of the media covergence and integration as a backdrop. Thus, the situation that the Korean film industry is facing is closely associated with the development of the digital technology and new media environment. Eventually, weathering the crisis and pioneering the future will be possible through changes in the media environment. The purpose of this study is to show how the media covergence and integration phenomenon is occurring in the film industry. This study will also focus on what new problems are occurring as a result, and seek out the solutions that are available.

  • Nowadays, the rapid progress and worldwide use of smart-media(SNS) has resulted in coming of the smart media convergence age. In practice, however, the effectiveness of smart media convergence society is limited by the difficulties of using it, which include accessibility, waiting for loading, clutter, old information, privacy risks, expensive communication, etc. The conquest of these difficulties must be policy target of broadcasting and telecommunication for high quality of communication life. From this perspective, this paper proposes a new policy of broadcasting and telecommunication based on the dynamic quality of life for the smart media convergence society. This smart convergence policy will not promote only the development and production of smart media contents but also its stable supply and it will secure the accessibility and privacy. In conclusion, this paper reveals that the components of quality of life are important elements of broadcasting and communication policies which will eventually lead to the popular use of smart media and enhance its quality.

  • The development of digital technologies has changed the paradigm of an information-oriented society. Accordingly, the media-art and the net-art using digital media have been developed more interactively. Under the this influence, various experimental works using digital media are being produced and having a try to combination of art and digital on the network. In this paper, we looked into the relation between characteristics and playful of the net-art and analized the relation among interactive, network characteristics and intuitive play implemented on the net-art. Based upon these analyses, we intend to offer new aesthetic experiences through playful expression for humorous emotion on a traditional character, Dokkaebi.

A Comparative Study m the Consumer's Attitude and Effect of the UCC as a Commercial Media among Countries (상업적 매체로서의 UCC에 대한 소비자의 태도와 효과에 대한 국가간 비교 연구)

  • UCC paradigm based on Web 2.0 has made new business models and came to the forefront as a commercial media. The purpose of this study is to analyze the customer attitudes toward UCC and it effects as a commercial media. Based on prior studies of Internet and Web advertising, informativeness, entertainment, irritation, trust, usefulness, ease of use, incentives, innovativeness, and flow were identified as affecting factors of the attitude of UCC advertising. Results show that all factors except ease of use and incentives significantly related to the attitude of UCC advertising in Korea. In China, all factors except informativeness, entertainment, and usefulness were found to be significantly related to the attitude of UCC advertising. Customer attitude toward UCC advertising was also found to be significantly related to the such effects as brand attitude, word of mouth and intention to buy in both countries. This study contributes to improve the understanding of UCC as a commercial media and provide the base of activation strategies for it according to the cultural differences.

  • Multicultural education is not about learning about a specific ethnic group, but rather developing the ability to cross the border of one's own culture and have conversations with people of other cultures. I think the purpose is to promote empathy and consideration. This study emphasizes the importance of developing multi-dimensional educational programs for all members of society for multicultural social integration, and it is necessary to lead personal, social and civic action movements to create a fair society through media-based multicultural literacy education. said that In order to achieve harmony and integration in a multicultural society, it is the most important to acknowledge cultural diversity and to discard cultural prejudices and inequalities for symbiosis between the mainstream culture and the minority culture. In particular, the United States and Germany, which have successfully led multicultural social integration, are comprehensive in all areas, including interculturalism based on peaceful coexistence and respect, labor market issues, vocational education issues, housing and health issues, and communication issues through media literacy. He led a multicultural national integration system with approaches and methods. Therefore, our multicultural education policy should also pursue a new paradigm that presupposes a change in the public's awareness of a multicultural society.

  • After the pandemic, the world has brought about a society that connects to digital content faster. In the performing arts world, technology is also changing the production environment, content, and format of works. In addition, theatre and performances linked to digital media and virtual reality continue to be actively developed and increased. This paper first diagnoses how theater and acting education are meeting consumers(students) in a time when these changes progress rapidly. In the post-COVID-19 era, a crack began in the traditional method of education. We look at the existing problems of traditional education of theatre and acting in detail and look at the points of change from the changes in the virtual world and digital media environment. In conclusion, post-pandemic theater and acting education needs to shift to a consumer-centered paradigm.

  • This study focused on university students' risk perception of cybercrime through media exposure. For this purpose, I tried to figure out the results of risk perception on cybercrime with 8 factors. As a result, the lowest type of cybercrime was internet fraud, and it was caused by media type and degree of exposure, where university students get information about cybercrime. There's a difference of students' risk perception by media type, news media was the best. Depending on the media of the environment, even in the area of cyber crime there is a difference of perception of risk for each individual. And it can be confirmed that the risk perception in response to the exposure of the media has changed.

  • Today, the city greatly increase the interest in the night, increasing the importance of building and landscape lighting is a trend. Landscape lighting and a combination of factors, especially the media has been expanding in the domestic media facade. The facade of the building for the implementation of the screen to install the LED, or are projecting the image through the projector. The facade of this study present a paradigm shift in traditional media based on interactive and works by combining the artistry of the item type, art, colors, patterns, and interactions were drawn into 5 main topics. Categorized by 5 types of lighting techniques, lighting system, manner of expression, changing the way lighting design elements were based.   • Purpose - Sports and the media have been developed together through a close relationship. During the past decade, the media landscape and the coverage of sports events have been changed. Sports fans can use the sports content at the time they want, on the platform they prefer. Furthermore, thanks to the advanced information technology, sports fans are likely to be more engaged in sport in communication technology-friendly stadium. However, the literature on the relationship between sports and the media has heavily focused on the differences of media types, clear distinction between media suppliers and consumers, and the limited media extension. Given the limitation of prior research, therefore, it has not fully reflected the change in society and culture, the importance of media recipients or consumers, and the mediating characteristic of the media. In order to generate further insights for sport media related industry and its society, it is necessary to comprehend the contemporary phenomena of real world situation in new media and sport and to discuss how new media influence sport and how their relationship is changing in managerial context. The purpose of this study is to identify new media cases as distribution channels in sports context and is to develop insights by discussing its role and meaning of new media in sport society. Research design, data, and methodology - The study employed the theory-centered review and case analysis. In order to explain phenomena of the role of new media in contemporary sport and to generate related insights in sport context, the study reviewed the new media cases applied in sport industry and interpreted their meaning by employing medium theory, remediation theory, and new media theory. Results - The study discussed the limitation of prior sport media research and identified the characteristics of sport as new media such as remediating, extending sensory organs, reiterating physical space and electronic space. Conclusions - The study derived the characteristics of sport as new media, in a sport setting, and through sports settings. Findings would assist to comprehend the role of new media in spectating sport and provide insights for sport media study.

Performance of Dual Polarized MIMO System using Six-Port Receiver for Cognitive Radio

  • Cognitive radio is a paradigm for wireless communication in which either network of wireless node itself changes particular transmission or reception parameters to execute its tasks efficiently without interfering with the licensed users. This paper represents a performance of the cognitive radio technology on dual polarized MIMO system using six-port receiver. Six-port technology is well known direct conversion receiver. In this paper, a six-port phase discriminator based polarization signal separation is shown. That is, the SER(Symbol Error Rate) performance is improved using polarization separator and simple receiver architecture is proposed applying six-port receiver. The six-port technology has priority to adapt changeable frequency system and variable environments for cognitive radio. In general, dual polarized MIMO system has good capacity and quality using polarization separator [1].
