Consumer Value and Social Media Usage on Luxury Product for Vietnamese Consumers

  • Vietnamese luxury market is rapidly growing, however, there is a few researches on Vietnamese consumers' perceptions of luxury products and influential factors in purchasing intention. The purpose of this study is to explore Vietnamese consumers' value dimensions and mediating effect of social media information for their decision making for luxury product. Data were collected using self-administered mail survey. This study examines the influences of consumers' perceptions of quality and value, and social media word-of-mouth on Vietnamese consumers' luxury purchase intention.

  • 지금까지의 인터넷 관련 교육은 주로 '정보통신윤리'와 '인터넷 중독'에 초점을 맞추고 있어 인터넷미디어 시대를 위한 '인터넷미디어'의 창의적이고, 바람직한 이해와 활용을 이끌어내기 위한 '인터넷 리터러시 교육'의 필요성이 사회적으로 제기되고 있다. 미디어 교육과 관련된 기존 연구에서 가장 취약점은 '교육성과' 에 대한 분석이 전혀 이루어지지 않고 있다는데 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 전국 중학교 학생 708명을 대상으로 진행한 인터넷미디어 교육에 따른 인터넷에 대한 감성적 태도, 매체 인식, 인터넷 이용효능감, 인터넷미디어 능력, 인터넷 윤리의식의 변화를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 인터넷 이용효능감과 인터넷미디어 능력은 큰 변화를 나타냈으며 아울러 수업을 통해 자연스럽게 인터넷윤리 의식도 높아지는 결과를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 인터넷미디어 교육 프로그램의 실질적 성과를 입증하였다는데 의의를 가질 수 있다.

대학생들의 Ifland 이용 동기가 만족도 및 지속적 사용의도에 미치는 영향: 혁신성의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The effect of college students' motivation to use Ifland on satisfaction and continuous Use Intention: Moderating effect of innovation)

  • 본 연구는 메타버스 가상 커뮤니티 Ifland의 이용 동기가 만족도와 지속 사용의도에 미치는 영향과 혁신성의 조절효과를 실증적으로 검증하였다. 구체적으로 Ifland 이용자들을 대상으로 이용 동기를 확인하고, 만족도 및 지속 사용의도와의 관계를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 Ifland 이용 경험이 있는 362명의 대학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, Ifland의 이용 동기는 오락휴식, 정보추구, 사회적 상호작용, 자기표현 동기로 나타났으며, 이들 Ifland 이용 동기가 모두 사용 만족도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, Ifland에 대한 만족도가 지속 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 혁신성은 오락휴식 동기와 만족도의 관계에서 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 만족도와 지속 사용의도 간에 조절역할을 하는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

스마트폰의 '스마트한 이용'에 대한 탐색적 연구 '스마트함', '스마트하다'의 이용행태에 대한 2차 측정모형을 중심으로 (Exploratory Study on Smart Usage of Smartphone Using the Second-order Measurement Model)

  • 진화하는 모바일 기술은 새로운 스마트폰을 출시하고, 주기적으로 이용자들에게 교체하도록 유도하면서 모바일 기술 속에 이용자들을 가두어놓는 것 같다. 그러나 단순히 기기의 이용이 기술 자체의 속성에 의해 전적으로 결정되는 것이 아닌 바, 이용자들이 '어떻게 수용하고 있으며 인지하고 있는가'에 따라 스마트함에 대한 의미에 차이가 발생할 것으로 보았다. 특히 이 연구에서는 스마트폰의 '스마트함', '스마트하게 이용한다'라는 현상적 개념을 '스마트한 이용'의 개념으로 구체화하였고, 2차 측정모형(second-order measurement model)을 통해 스마트한 이용의 구성개념을 검증하였다. 그 결과 8개로 구성되었던 1차 요인들은 6개로 축소되었는데, 이 과정에서 '사용준비성'과 '미디어 통합성'이 '다기능 사용 준비성'으로 묶였으며, '시간 효율성'과 '관계 연결성'이 '관리 효율성'으로 합쳐졌다. 결과적으로 '스마트한 이용'의 구성개념은 '다기능 사용 준비성', '관리 효율성', '미디어 일체감', '기기연결성', '이용자 중심 최적화', '외부연결성(being connected)'의 6개 요인으로 추출되었다. 이에 스마트한 이용이란, 스마트폰의 기기적 특성을 기반으로 모바일 공간 속에서의 자율적 활용 역량으로 적절히 조율되는 이용행태로 설명될 수 있을 것이다.

  • SNS가 사회전체에 미치는 영향이 커지면서 기업들도 SNS의 신속성, 공유성, 상호작용성 등에 관심을 갖고, 이를 어떻게 활용할 것인가에 대해 고민하기 시작했다. 본 연구도 SNS의 업무적 활용에 초점을 두고 과업 지원도구인 SNS와 과업과의 적합성, 사용자특성 그리고 성과와의 관계를 실증하고자 한다. 연구를 위해 과업-기술적합모형을 토대로 사회적 요소, 정보기술로서 SNS의 특성 그리고 사용자 특성을 고려하여 연구모형을 제안하였다. 연구결과 과업-매체 적합성에 직무특성, 가상능숙도, 매체특성 모두 유의한 영향관계를 가지며, SNS이용에는 가상능숙도와 SNS 특성 변수가 유의한 영향관계를 보였다. 또한 과업-매체 적합성은 SNS이용과 업무성과에, SNS이용은 업무성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 SNS의 전략적 활용은 업무성과 향상에 도움이 되며, SNS활용 전략 수립시에 개인특성이 고려되어야 함을 시사하고 있다.

대학의 교실수업에서 이러닝시스템 이용의 활성화에 관한 연구: 사회적, 기술적, 개인적 특성 (A Study on the Factors to Increase the Usage of e-Learning Systems in Class-based Education: Social, Technological, and Personal Factors)

  • Universities have recognized e-Learning Systems as the critical IT resources which contribute to improving the competitiveness of the universities as well as the quality of the traditional class-based lectures. Instructors deliver the main contents in the class. Other supplementary activities like online discussions, sharing of teaching-learning materials, submission of homeworks, communication among the learners and between the instructors and the learners, and so on can be efficiently facilitated using e-Learning Systems. In other words, e-Learning Systems enable a blended learning combined class-based lectures and e-learning in a variety of ways. Nonetheless, compared to the level of implementation of e-Learning Systems, the usage of both the instructors and the learners is not high. Accordingly, this study examines the determinants to affect on the usage of e-Learning Systems from the learners perspective. To draw the key determinants, we review the IS literatures related to adoption or use of the IS like Media Richness Theory (MRT), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Social Influence Model (SIM), and Self-efficacy Model. The variables are drawn out to be expected on the usage of e-Learning like Media Richness, Ease of Use from MRT, TAM and Instructor's Influence, Co-learner's Influence from SIM, and Self-efficacy. To test our model and hypotheses, we have collected data in the class-based lectures using e-Learning System complementary. The results of the test with 192 data are as follows: Firstly, it shows that the Instructor's Influence and the Media Richness are the influential determinants to affect on the Perception of Usefulness of e-Learning Systems. Additionally, the Co-learner's Influence and Ease of Use in order is significant to the Perception of Usefulness. Secondly, as to the degree of use of the e-Learning Systems, the Co-leaner's Influence, the Media Richness, and the Ease of Use are, in that order, the significant determinants. The Perception of Usefulness, also, founded a key factor on increasing the use of e-Learning Systems. On the other hand, the Instructor's Influence is not significant to the use of e-Learning Systems. Finally, it has been found that Self-efficacy is significant to the Perception of Media Richness, Ease of Use, but not significant to the Perception of Usefulness.

Continuous usage intention of social media as an online information distribution channels

  • Purpose: This study aimed to explore the variables that may play a significant role in inducing Facebook users to use Facebook as online information distribution channels continuously. Research design, data, and methodology: The population of this study are all Facebook users who have actively used Facebook as a social media as online information distribution for at least one year. Purposive sampling technique was used in this study and 290 respondents were enrolled. The data was collected using a questionnaire and further analyzed with path analysis and SEM-PLS approach. Result: The results showed that perceived ease of use, perceived critical mass, perceived enjoyment, and perceived information intelligence have a positive and a significant effect towards perceived usefulness. Perceived usefulness also has a positive and significant effect on users' attitude, and users' attitude has a positive and significant effect on intentions to use Facebook continuously among its users. Conclusions: Hence, it is important for Facebook as an online information distribution channel to maintain its perceived usefulness in order to create a positive impact on its users' and induce Facebook users' to use social media continuously.

어머니의 스마트폰 중독이 아동의 미디어 기기 의존에 미치는 영향: 어머니의 일-가정 양립 갈등과 부모 감독의 순차적 매개 효과 (The Effect of Mothers' Smartphone Addiction on Children's Media Dependency: Sequentially Mediated by Mothers' Work-Family Strains and Parental Monitoring)

  • Smart devices have become an essential part of human life; however, excessive dependency on these devices has become a serious issue for both children and adults. In this study, a research model was developed which hypothesized that mothers' smartphone addiction influences children's media dependency, and that this effect is sequentially mediated by mothers' work-family strains and parental monitoring. To test this hypothesis, an analysis of data from the 13th Wave of Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC), conducted in 2020, was performed. The data were collected from 726 children (359 boys, 367 girls) with an average age of 12.23 years (SD=.30). The analysis was conducted using SPSS 27.0 and Process MACRO Ver. 4.2. The results were as follows. Maternal smartphone addiction increased mothers' work-family strains, which in turn lowered the level of parental monitoring, which was associated with an increase in children's media dependency. Furthermore, mothers' smartphone addiction had a partial mediation effect on children's media dependency. In sum, this study revealed that the mothers' smartphone addiction increased children's media dependency, and this effect was sequentially mediated by an increase in mothers' work-family strains and a decrease in parental monitoring. This study verifies that mothers' smart device usage as well as their working environment has a significant effect on children's media dependency. Therefore, to increase parental monitoring of children's media usage, mothers' work-family strains need to be reduced.

  • This paper presents the role and its function of Tool server. MPEG-21 means multimedia framework for delivery and consumption of multimedia which is being discussed in ISO/IEC 21000. A view of MPEC-21 aims to define multimedia framework to enable transparent use of multimedia resource across a wide range of networks and devices used by different communities. MPEG-21 will enable all-electronic creation delivery and trade of digital multimedia content and transparent usage of various content types on network device. Therefore, we can provide access to information and services from almost anywhere at anytime with various terminals and networks. In order to support multimedia delivery chain that contains content creation, production, delivery and consumption, we need many standards(elements) for identify, describe, manage and protect the content. Thus, we define Digital Item Player(DIP), Digital Item Adaptation(DIA) server and Tool server as primary objects of MPEG-21 multimedia framework. DIP provides a function which creates and consumes Digital Item(DI) as a kind of a digital object by user. A DI contains both media resources and metadata including rights information. DIA server deals with the usage environment description schema of the user characteristics, terminal and network characteristics and natural environments. DIA server adapts the original DI to the usage environment description sent from the terminal and transmits the adapted DI to the terminal. Tool server searches for a tool requested from DIP or DIA and downloads the best tool to DIP or DIA server. In this paper, we present how Tool sewer is organized and is used among 2 primary objects. The paper is structured as followings: Section 1 briefly describes why MPEG-21 is needed and what MPEG-21 wants. We see requirement that tool server must equip functionally in section 2. The proposed tool server,its structure and its functionality are presented in section 3. Section 4 explains a scenario that tool server transmits tool to DIP and shows the experimental result. The paper concludes in section 5.

  • Culture is the soul of tourism, and communication is the key to the inheritance and development of tourism culture. Therefore, culture and communication are essential for the development of tourism. Digital media art is a new form of art that combines technical, artistic, and media-oriented elements. Its artistic expression and crossover communication capabilities drive its usage in cultural tourism communication. This paper examines the influence of digital media art on tourism culture communication and development by elucidating the concept and characteristics of tourism culture communication and digital media art, applying the theoretical knowledge of communication, and deriving the specific characteristics of digital media art on tourism culture in terms of the transmission-reception relationship, content, medium, and effect. The role and value of digital media art in disseminating and developing tourism culture are discussed. We aim to provide valuable insights for the dissemination of tourism culture.
