메카노케미컬 방식에 의한 BMN 세라믹 합성 (Mechanochemical Synthesis of $Ba(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_{3}$ Ceramics)

  • Ba(Mg$_{1}$3/$Nb_{2/3}$)O$_3$ powders were synthesised from mechanochemically treated mixtures of Ba(OH)$_2$. 8$H_2O$, MgO and Nb$_2$O$_{5}$. Perovskite BMN powder of nanosized particles was successfully synthesized by using mechanochemical methods. Density and dielectric constant of samples with mechanochemical methods showed higher values than those of conventional processing.ng.

Effect of Preparation on Structure and Magnetic Properties of ZnFe2O4

  • In this work, Zinc ferrite nanoparticles have been prepared by various methods, conventional (ZC), mechanochemical processing (ZM) and Sol-Gel (ZS) method, to compare their structural and magnetic properties. The cation distribution obtained from XRD shows the degrees of inversions are 4%, 14.8%, and 16.4% from the normal $ZnFe_2O_4$ structure. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) confirms changes in cation distribution of $ZnFe_2O_4$ fabricated by sol-gel and mechanochemical processing. The $^{57}Fe$ M$\ddot{o}$ssbauer spectra of the samples were recorded at room temperature. The spectra exhibit a line broadening. The magnetic properties of the samples were studied by vibration sample magnetometer (VSM) at room temperature and the results show that the sample ZM has ferrimagnetic behaviour.

고에너지 볼밀로 만든 $LaAlO_3$ 분말의 합성과 소결 특성 (Synthesized and sinteristics of $LaAlO_3$ ceramics from high energy ball milling powders)

  • Fine $LaAlO_3$ powders were successfully synthesized from $La_2O_3$ and ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ powders milling for $10{\sim}50hrs$ via the high energy milling technique (mechanochemical methode) in room temperature and air. The particle size of $LaAlO_3$ powder were estimated from XRD patterns and SEM images to be $160{\sim}180nm$. The $LaAlO_3$ ceramics are derived for the synthesized powders (milling for 10, 30 and 50hrs) by sintering at $1400^{\circ}C$. The micrographs of grains showed a agglomeration and the degree of agglomeration increased with the milling time. The $LaAlO_3$ made from synthesized powders milling for 30hrs can be sintered to 98% of theoretical density at $1,400^{\circ}C$ for 4hrs.

The Origin of the Residual Carbon in LiFePO4 Synthesized by Wet Milling

  • This study reports the origin of the electrochemical improvement of $LiFePO_4$ when synthesized by wet milling using acetone without conventional carbon coating. The wet milled $LiFePO_4$ delivers 149 $mAhg^{-1}$ at 0.1 C, which is comparable to carbon coated $LiFePO_4$ and approximately 74% higher than that of dry milled $LiFePO_4$, suggesting that the wet milling process can increase the capacity in addition to conventional carbon coating methods. UV spectroscopy, elemental microanalysis, and evolved gas analysis are used to find the root cause of the capacity improvement during the mechanochemical reaction in acetone. The analytical results show that the improvement is attributed to the conductive residual carbon on the surface of the wet milled $LiFePO_4$ particles, which is produced by the reaction of $FeC_2O_4{\cdot}2H_2O$ with acetone during wet milling through oxygen deficiency in the precursor.

형광성 Willemite의 수열, 습식 및 고상 합성에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Preparation of Fluorescence Willemite Powders by Hydrothermal, Wet and Solid State Reaction)

  • Willemite powders which have been prepared by solid state reaction were easy to intermixed impurities, and particle surfaces were demaged in the progress of crushing. The above defacts were easy to accompany non-crystallization for mechanochemical effects and luminescence efficiency was deteriorated. The goal of this study improve each of defacts, and synthesize high purity and fine Mn doped willemite powders by wet and hydrothermal methods without crushing progress. It has been experimentally verified that the single phase Zn1.98Mn0.02SiO4 willemite powders which prepared by hydrothermal synthes is at 220$^{\circ}C$ for 10 hours in 2N KOH solution. The products are like needle and composition is the same with starting composition.

청정 수소 저장을 위한 고효율, 저탄소 배출 암모니아 합성기술 동향 (Advancements in High-Efficiency Ammonia Synthesis Technology: A Key Solution for Green Hydrogen Storage in the Carbon-Neutral Era)

  • 최근, 무탄소 에너지원(특히, 선박 및 혼소 발전), 고효율 청정 수소 저장 및 매개체로써 암모니아가 다시 각광받고 있다. 암모니아는 화학공학에서 매우 중요한 공정 중 하나인 Haber-Bosch 공정을 통해 합성할 수 있지만, 이 공정은 에너지 소비량이 높고 탄소 배출량 역시 높아, 기존 공정을 통해 암모니아를 합성할 시 탄소 저감 효과가 미미하다. 이러한 기존 공정의 치명적인 단점을 해결하기 위해 최근, 높은 에너지 효율로 탄소 배출이 적게 암모니아를 합성할 수 있는 열화학적 합성 방법이 많이 개발되고 있다. 소재측면에서는 기존 공정보다 완화된 공정 조건에서도 충분히 높은 암모니아 합성 성능을 보일 수 있는 고성능 촉매 소재를 개발하는 연구가 진행되고 있으며, 공정측면에서는 매체 순환식(chemical-looping) 합성 방법, 플라즈마 합성방법, 기계화학적 합성 방식 등 다양하게 적용되고 있다. 이번 총설에서는 최근 청정수소 저장을 효과적으로 저장하기 위해 어떤 암모니아 합성 기술들이 개발되고 있는지 자세히 소개하고자 한다.
