CAD 시스템에 의하여 작성된 기계도면의 자동검증시스템에 관한 연구 (A Computer Aided Automatic Verification System for Mechanical Drawings Drawn with CAD System)

  • Mostof existing CAD systems do not provide the advanced function for systematic checking of design and drafting errors in mechanical drawings. We have reported a computer aided drawing check system to single plane projection drawings made by a CAD system. This paper describes a checking method of dimensioning errors in mechanical drawings. The checking items are deficiency and redundancy of dimensions, input-errors in dimension figures and symbols, etc. Checking for deficiency and redundancy of global dimensions has been performed applying Graph Theory. This system has been applied to several examples and we have confirmed the feasibility of this checking method.

슈퍼커패시터 양산화를 위한 하이브리드 복합금형 개발 (Development of Hybrid Composite Die for the Production of the Supercapacitor)

  • In this study, a high-speed procedure to be used in composite molding technology is developed for the production of a hybrid supercapacitor in a progressive and revolutionary current in a production system, as are the related operating conditions. Mold parts with solid modeling, the ease of programming of future mold product designs, tolerance management, and pre-explode tests by the building of a progressive die design system using Cimatron_E10 Die Design Software for the strip layout are done. The capacity of the super-hybrid composite mold design will save time and money through its verification of the manufacture of molds. We plan to apply this to future related products for production cost savings of more than 30% achieved by considering the components of the production costs, labor, and material costs of production as compared to conventional production methods.

유사도 개념을 이용한 다목적 모듈화 설계법 (Multi-Objective Modular Design Method Using Similarity Concept)

  • At present, the significance of a new manufacturing system that can shift from 'mass production' and consider life cycles of a product is pointed out and extremely expected. In such a situation, it is recognized that the modular design, often called 'unit design,' is the important design methodology which realizes the new production system enabling 'cost reduction,' 'flexible production of a multi-functional artifact,' 'settlement of an environmental issue,' and so on. A module (unit) of a product is generally defined as 'the parts group made into the sub-system from a certain specific viewpoint.' So far, there have been many researches related to the modular design. However, they are often limited to a certain viewpoint (objective). This paper proposes a simple but effective method for multi-objective modular design. In the proposed method, a new design metric, called similarity index, is proposed to evaluate the modular design candidates from the multiple viewpoints.

  • Manufacturing processes of industrial tire are composed of mixing, extrusion, curing, trimming and inspecting. Among them curing is the most important process in the production of industrial tire. In this study the newly developed spring vent system was designed in order to solve rubber intrusion problem inside spring vent system in the curing process. After the experiment it is concluded that rubber intrusion was caused by angled stem head part. New spring vent system was manufactured and new design of spring vent system is proper to use for industrial tire curing process.

  • 의류산업은 대표적인 노동집약적인 산업 중 하나로 의류 제조의 기본 공정인 봉제 작업은 인력에 대한 의존도가 매우 높다. 의류 생산비용은 라인의 효율성에서 큰 영향을 받는데, 생산비용의 절감을 위해서는 생산 속도를 조절하여 라인의 균형 유지하는 것이 중요하다. 그러나, 현재 의류 생산라인에서 활용되고 있는 인력에 의한 생산 실적 집계 방식은 이를 위한 부수적인 인력의 소요 등으로 인한 추가 비용이 소요되어 중소기업들이 직접 적용하기 쉽지 않다. 완제품의 인력에 대한 의존도는 집계 시간의 추가 소요와 인적 오류가 크게 잠재되어 생산비용의 증가와 함께 효율성의 저하를 초래할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 에너지 소비 데이터를 수집하고 이를 CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) 기법을 적용하여 분석함으로써 재봉 작업을 통하여 생산한 제품의 수량을 추적하고 자동으로 집계할 수 있는 봉제 작업 생산 추적 시스템을 제안한다. 개발된 시스템을 통하여 2종의 재봉 작업을 테스트 한 결과, 최대 98.6 %의 정확도를 보이며 재봉 작업을 감지할 수 있었다. 개발도상국에서 의류봉제산업은 매우 중요한 산업이나, 위에 언급한 문제들을 해결하기 위하여 고가의 첨단기술을 적용하는 등 많은 자본을 투입하는 것은 크게 제한된다. 적정 기술을 적용한 본 기술은 이러한 개발도상국의 의류산업에 큰 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

비용 최소화를 위한 플래어 시스템의 배관 서포트 타입 최적설계 (Optimal Determination of Pipe Support Types in Flare System for Minimizing Support Cost)

  • Floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) is a production facility that refines and saves the drilled crude oil from a drilling facility in the ocean. The flare system in the FPSO is a major part of the pressure relieving system for hydrocarbon processing plants. The flare system consists of a number of pipes and complicated connection systems. Decision of pipe support types is important since the load on the support and the stress in the pipe are influenced by the pipe support type. In this study, we optimally determined the pipe support types that minimized the support cost while satisfying the design constraints on maximum support load, maximum nozzle load and maximum pipe stress ratio. Performance indices included in the design constraints for a specified design were evaluated by pipe structural analysis using CAESAR II. Since pipe support types were all discrete design variables, an evolutionary algorithm (EA) was used as an optimizer. We successfully obtained the optimal solution that reduced the support cost by 27.2% compared to the initial support cost while all the design requirements were satisfied.

플래쉬 시스템에 의한 지열 발전 성능해석 (A Study of Geothermal Power Production with Flashed Steam System)

  • Flashed steam system is one of the important geothermal power production methods. In this paper, optimum operations and performances of single and double flash systems are presented. It is shown that double flash system can produce about 26.5% more power than single flash system. Temperature of geothermal water($T_R$) is the most important parameter in the geothermal system. Optimum single and double flash temperatures and net power produced with these optimum conditions are expressed as a function of $T_R$ in this study. Thus net power output from geothermal resources can be estimated with the results of this work. Condenser Temperature($T_{con}$) is also important and the net power production can be shown as a function of ($T_R-T_{con}$. Volume flow rate per unit power is also to be considered as the condenser temperature decreases.

Joint Optimal Production-Delivery Policy for Multiple Products with a Single Production Facility

  • The synchronization of production-delivery artivities is one of crucial factors to get competitive collaboration benefits between the manufacturer and the retailor(s). There were several researches to study on He optimal delivery policy to minimize the total cost of integrated system of both manufacturer and retailor(s). In this research, we investigate the joint optimal shipment policy in case that a manufacturer produces multiple products sharing a single production facility in the manufacturer side and retailor(s) deploys JIT delivery pattern with equal-size shipment policy. We formulate this problem as a form of 'Common Cycle Approach' in classical ELSP (Economic Lot Scheduling Problem) and provide simple optimal solution procedure.

연속 3 차원 튜브 벤딩장치 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of the Continuous 3D Tube Bending Machine)

  • A continuous 3D tube bending machine has been developed for industrial boiler panel production. The machine consists of a main bender, a sub bender, a side bender, tube feeding rollers and control system that includes data management system. Tube position is controlled by a numerical control system. The bending former can be easily replaced according to the shape of bending form. Reduction of working time and improvement of production capacity from the practice have been achieved by bending a long tube in the machine developed.

LOM 시스템을 이용한 패턴제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on Manufacturing Process of Pattern with LOM System)

  • Rapid Prototyping(RP) has been widely applied in designing and developing process of new products. RP can reduce the lead time and expense required to bring a new product form initial concept to production. Among several RP process can dramatically reduce the total build time and be applied for fabrication of large-sized and free form object because it uses in LOM the paper thickness is 0.05∼0.38mm as deposition feature segment. In this study, mechanical properties of pattern with LOM system is studied for optimal design of sand mold casting. The main result is that tensile, compressive strength and pattern size are significantly affected by temperature of hot roll.
