  • In a high power laboratory, artificial lines are used for SLF tests of circuit breakers. The line side PTRV is affected by the stray capacitances of testing and measuring equipment as well as the circuit parameters of artificial lines. The changing pattern of PTRV was examined, and the circuit parameters of artificial line for some examples were compensated using the changing pattern to satisfy test conditions specified.

사상체질과 신체분절의 연관성에 관한 예비연구 (A Pilot Study on the Association Sasang Constitutions with Body Segments)

  • This pilot study aimed to set up a reasonable method for measuring body segments parameters and finding out some useful body segments parameters to diagnose Sasang constitutions. In this study, we have tried to take a secure effort in measuring and diagnosing of Sasang constitutions based on the consensus among Sasang constitution experts. And we also have tried to find out some useful body segments parameters based on the actual data. We measured 9 clinically meaningful body lengths specified by Sasang constitution experts and analyzed these parameters statistically according to each Sasang constitution. We have found that Taeeumin female's ratio of foot length to height was significantly large and Soyangin's ratio was significantly small, but more data are needed to confirm this finding.

단일 바퀴 구동 캐스터 기반 모바일 로봇의 캘리브레이션 (Calibration of Mobile Robot with Single Wheel Powered Caster)

  • Accurate kinematic parameters of mobile robots are essential because inaccurate kinematic model produces considerable uncertainties on its odometry and control. Especially, kinematic parameters of caster type mobile robots are important due to their complex kinematic model. Despite the importance of accurate kinematic parameters for caster type mobile robots, few research dealt with the calibration of the kinematic model. Previous study proposed a calibration method that can only calibrate double-wheeled caster type mobile robot and requires direct-measuring of robot center point and distance between casters. This paper proposes a calibration method based on geometric approach that can calibrate single-wheeled caster type mobile robot with two or more casters, does not require direct-measuring, and can successfully acquire all kinematic parameters required for control and odometry. Simulation and hardware experiments conducted in this paper validates the proposed calibration method and shows its performance.

  • Coordinate measuring machines(CMMs) are used to obtain the dimensional information with micron accuracy. This paper is concerned with the development of the horizontal arm type coordinate measuring machine using open architecture controller. The coordinate measuring machine considered in this paper consists of three orthogonal axes in the x, y and z directions. Open architecture controller IS used to implement a measuring system which can be fulfill to various needs of endusers of coordinate measuring machines. The open architecture controller presented here is embodied in personal computers. The programs and man-machine interfaces(MM1) are developed for various measuring conditions. Through the computer simulation based on the mathematical models of the coordinate measuring machine, control parameters are optimally tuned.

레이저 변위계를 이용한 암석 절리면의 3차원 거칠기 측정기 개발 (Development of a 3D Roughness Measurement System of Rock Joint Using Laser Type Displacement Meter)

  • In this study, a 3D coordinate measurement system equipped with a laser displacement meter for digitizing rock joint surface was established and the digitized data were used to calculate several roughness parameters. The parameters used in this study were micro avenge inclination $angle(i_{ave})$, average slope of joint $asperity(SL_{ ave})$, root mean square of $i-angle(i_{rms})$, standard deviation of height(SDH), standard deviation of $i-angle(SD_i)$, roughness profile $index(R_P)$, and fractal dimension(D). The relationships between the roughness parameters based on the digitzation of the surface profile were analyzed. Since the measured value varied according to the degree of reflection and the variation of colors at the measuring point, rock joint surface was painted in white to minimize the influence of the surface conditions. The comparison of the measured values and roughness parameters before and after painting revealed the better consequence from measurement on the painted surfaces. Also, effect of measuring interval was studied. As measured interval was increased, roughness parameters were exponentially decreased. The incremental sequence of degree of decrease was $SDH\; i_{ave},\; i_{rms},\; SD_i,\;and\; R_ p-1$. As a result of comparison of parameters from pin-type measurement system and laser type measurement system, all value of parameters were higher when laser-type measurement system was used, except SDH.

낙구식 점도계를 이용한 아이스슬러리의 점도측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Measuring Method of Ice Slurry Viscosity Using the Falling Sphere Viscometer)

  • The present study has dealt with the measuring method of ice slurry viscosity using falling sphere viscometer. The experimental apparatus was composed by test section and high-speed video system. And the spheres used in this study were alumina and glass. The main parameters were ice packing factor (IPF) and falling velocity of sphere so the acquired results were discussed for these parameters. The viscosity of ice slurry was calculated by using measured falling velocity and moving distance at instantaneous time and the Stokes hypothesis was used for this calculation. It was clarified that possible measuring range was $IPF\;=\;0.06{\sim}0.14$ of this type of measuring device and measuring method. In addition, it was clarified that the viscosity of ice slurry increased to increase of ice packing factor (IPF) of ice slurry.

3상 인버터 구동기를 이용하는 교류 서보전동기의 전류제어 파라미터 계측법 (A.C. servo motor current control parameter measurement strategy using the three phase inverter driver)

  • 본 논문에서는 교류 서보 전동기 PI 전류제어를 위한 주요 시스템 파라미터인 상저항과 상인덕턴스를 측정하는 방법을 제시한다. 서보 전동기 전류제어를 위한 PI 제어이득은 주요 계통 파라미터인 권선간 저항과 인덕턴스 정보를 활용하여 튜닝하는 자동적 방법이 기본적으로 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 이 두 파라미터를 3상 인버터 제어를 통해 계측하는 방법을 제시한다. 이 제어 및 계측 방법은 3상 인버터를 이용하여 3상 권선에 비례입력 만을 이용하는 스텝 전류제어를 수행하고 그 결과로 얻어진 출력 상전류를 측정함으로써 구현된다. 더불어 이 방법은 권선간 인덕턴스 계측을 위해 특정 스위칭모드에서의 인버터 자연-순환(freewheeling) 전류를 이용한다. 이 인버터 제어를 이용하는 측정 방법은 새로운 추가 계측 회로 및 복잡한 계측 알고리즘을 사용하지 않고 실시간으로 파라미터들을 계측 및 연산할 수 있는 해석적 방법이다. 실제 전동기 제어에 사용되어지는 구동기 회로를 그대로 사용하면서 스위칭소자의 도통저항과 각종 결선 저항을 포함하는 합성 저항 및 인덕턴스를 계측할 수 있는 방법이다.

  • Efforts have been devoted to developing rapid and accurate methods for measuring the errors of machine tools. The method os measurement and calibration of machine tool errors should be general and efficient. The objective of this study is to show in detail the full sequence from the measurement of errors factors to the verification of the positioning accuracy after compensation for the volumetric error. In this paper, we described the steps in measuring the volumetric error parameters, a general error model composed of error parameters, temperature, and the desired position. The validity of the error calibration methods proposed in this paper was tested using a vertical 3-axis CNC machine with a laser interferometer and a ball bar.

Simulation Study on Measuring Pulverized Coal Concentration in Power Plant Boiler

  • During thermal power coal-fired boiler operation, it is very important to detect the pulverized coal concentration in the air pipeline for the boiler combustion stability and economic security. Because the current measurement methods used by power plants are often involved with large measurement errors and unable to monitor the pulverized coal concentration in real-time, a new method is needed. In this paper, a new method based on microwave circular waveguide is presented. High Frequency Electromagnetic Simulation (HFSS) software was used to construct a simulation model for measuring pulverized coal concentration in power plant pipeline. Theoretical analysis and simulation experiments were done to find the effective microwave emission frequency, installation angle, the type of antenna probe, antenna installation distance and other important parameters. Finally, field experiment in Jilin Thermal Power Plant proved that with selected parameters, the measuring device accurately reflected the changes in the concentration of pulverized coal.

Study and Experimentation on Detection of Nicks inside of Porcelain with Acoustic Emission

  • An usual acoustic emission(AE) event has two widely characterized parameters in time domain, peak amplitude and event duration. But noise in AE measuring may disturb the signals with its parameters and aggrandize the signal incertitude. Experiment activity of detection of the nick inside of porcelain with AE was made and study on AE signal processing with statistic be presented in this paper in order to pick-up information expected from the signal with noise. Effort is concentrated on developing a novel arithmetic to improve extraction of the characteristic from stochastic signal and to enhance the voracity of detection. The main purpose discussed in this paper is to treat with signals on amplitudes with statistic mutuality and power density spectrum in frequency domain, and farther more to select samples for neural networks training by means of least-squares algorithm between real measuring signal and deterministic signals under laboratory condition. By seeking optimization with the algorithm, the parameters representing characteristic of the porcelain object are selected, while the stochastic interfere be weakened, then study for detection on neural networks is developed based on processing above.
