Social readjustment is very important in rehabilitation of stroke survivors. The purpose of this study was to examine the level of social readjustment and related factors in stroke survivors. Especially, to find the most useful predictor for social readjustment is a major point of this research. The study included 254 outpatients who were given follow-up care after discharge from. Occupational rehabilitation and resumption of the perceived meaningful social activity prios to the stroke were used to measure social readjustment. The resumptions of first meaningful social activity was the best predictor for life satisfaction in stroke survivors(r=.245, p<.01). The substance of perceived meaningful social activities were job, meeting with friends, hobby and activities for the family. The sum of meaningful social activities (r=.175, p<.01) and occupational rehabilitation (r=.116, p<.05) were significantly related to life satisfaction. There were significant difference in IADL, depression and life satisfaction according to resumption of meaningful social activity. But, occupational rehabilitation was not related to depression. The level of social readjustment was different between occupational rehabilitation and resumption of meaningful social activity. It was 45.7% in the first meaningful social activity and 36.6% in occupational rehabilitation. The related factors with resumption of the first meaningful social activity were that of IADL, depression, illness intrusiveness and cognitive function. And the level of IADL, illness intrusiveness, cognitive function, and age were significantly related to occupational rehabilitation. In conclusion, we suggest that the resumption of the first meaningful activity in stroke survivors is the best predictor of social rehabilitation. Thus, nurses need to work for resumption of meaningful activity as well as occupational rehabilitation.
The purpose of this study is to reveal the similarity and difference by comparing the quality of life between senior citizen group and disabled people group. For this purpose, I surveyed the questionnaire composed of sociological variable of population, social support, society activity participation, activity of daily living, self-efficacy, and quality of life to 113 senior citizens and 107 disabled people and analyzed the actual proof relationship of cause and effect in between variables. I executed the analysis of structural equation model by using SPSS 14.0 and AMOS 7.0 for the analysis of data. As the result of the study, firstly, the variables highly co-related with the quality of life to both senior citizen group and disabled people group were self-efficacy and society activity participation, and the variables highly co-related with self-efficacy were the quality of life and society activity participation. Secondly, the variables which show the meaningful difference between senior citizen group and disabled people group were society activity participation and activity of daily living. Thirdly, in the senior citizen group, social support, society activity participation, and activity of daily living have meaningful effect on self-efficacy, and all variables have meaningful effect on the quality of life. However, in the disabled people group, social support did not have meaningful effect on self-efficacy, and the social support and self-efficacy did not have meaningful effect on the quality of life. Based upon these study results I discussed the meaning and implications of the study, and suggested the successive study tasks.
The advancement of knowledge society has enabled the social network community (SNC) to be perceived as another space for learning where individuals produce, share, and apply content in self-directed ways. The content generated within social networks provides information of value for the participants in real time. Thus, this study proposes the social network community activity-based content model (SoACo Model), which takes SNC-based activities and embodies them within learning objects. The SoACo Model consists of content objects, aggregation levels, and information models. Content objects are composed of relationship-building elements, including real-time, changeable activities such as making friends, and participation-activity elements such as "Liking" specific content. Aggregation levels apply one of three granularity levels considering the reusability of elements: activity assets, real-time, changeable learning objects, and content. The SoACo Model is meaningful because it transforms SNC-based activities into learning objects for learning and teaching activities and applies to learning management systems since they organize activities -- such as tweets from Twitter -- depending on the teacher's intention.

Middle-aged women experience physical and mental changes along with the loss of femininity, and they feel psychologically empty according as their child's growth and independence reduces the role of care and parenting. These women understand the sense of loss and emptiness caused of their role reduction as an opportunity to maintain their values and beliefs for their leisure life. Accordingly, middle-aged women overcome negative emotions facing in the middle-aged such as depression or empty mind, and establish self-esteem and social support in recognizing it as an opportunity for building relationship and self-realization in social relations, which come through human to human communication by doing craft activities. In this study, in order to analyze the effect of the experience factor of craft activity to self-esteem and social support for middle-aged women, we set up a research model with the experience factor of craft activity as an independent variable and self-esteem and social support as dependent variables. As a result of the study, educational experiences, recreational experiences, and deviant experiences had a meaningful effect on self-esteem, but aesthetic experiences did not have meaningful effect. And, recreational experiences and aesthetic experiences had a meaningful effect on social support, but educational experiences and deviant experiences did not have meaningful effect on social support. Therefore, the institutional system for craft experiences, that can provide content of environmental characteristics for aesthetic factor and visual elements are required. It influences to the change of senses and emotions of middle-aged women. Also, there are limitations that this study did not consider factors of ultimate life changes through craft activities. Thus this study suggests development of new model for variables of wellbeing-related matters.
This study attempted to compare the social interest, motivation, and attitude of nursing college students who participated in a voluntary program and the students who didn't participate in a voluntary program. The purpose of this study can be summarized as to find the effect of a voluntary program and to offer fundamental data for institutionalizing a voluntary program in college. The subjects were composed of two groups, one group attend the voluntary program and the other group doesn't. The subjects were 390 nursing students: 179 in the experimental group and 211 in the control group. The results of this study are as follows : 1. Before voluntary activities, the mean value of the control group was higher than that of the experimental group in social interest and altruistic motivation. The difference is statistically meaningful(t= -2.2.53, p=.25, t= -2.509, p= .013). 2. After voluntary activities, selfish motivation and altruistic motivation in the experimental group was higher than before. The difference is statistically meaningful(t= 2.404, p=.0l7, t=-2.751, p=.007). 3. The social interest, selfish motivation, altruistic motivation toward voluntary activities and selfish attitude, altruistic attitude toward voluntary activities will not have changed in the control group before or after voluntary program. However, the altruistic attitude lowered after voluntary activity. It is statistically meaningful(t=2.694, p=.008). 4. After the voluntary activities, there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in altruistic attitude. In the experimental group, the mean value of altruistic attitude increased significantly, but in the control group the mean value of altruistic attitude decreased ( t = 2.15, p = .032). The results of this study showed that voluntary activities not only increase social interest and altruistic attitude, but also the subject's understanding toward the community. 3. The social interest, selfish motivation, altruistic motivation toward voluntary activities and selfish attitude, altruistic attitude toward voluntary activities will not have changed in the control group before or after voluntary program. However, the altruistic attitude lowered after voluntary activity. It is statistically meaningful (t=2.694. p=.008). 4. After the voluntary activities, there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in altruistic attitude. In the experimental group, the mean value of altruistic attitude increased significantly, but in the control group the mean value of altruistic attitude decreased (t = 2.15, p =.032). The results of this study showed that voluntary activities not only increase social interest and altruistic attitude, but also the subject's understanding toward the community.
Purpose - This study aims to analyze the effects of the social support on the economic activities from the Korean Chinese residing in Korea. Particularly, this paper focuses on the consequence of the economic activity intention according to the three kinds of social support. Research design, data, and methodology - For the statistics process of data collected by this survey, SPSS 19 statistics package program was used through data-coding and data-cleaning processes to analyze the data in this study. Results - This hypothesis was selected partially. As a result of investigating hypotheses in detail, Hypothesis 1-2 was significant as shown in the significance level 0.1, and when the emotional support was regarded important, the will of economic activities was also higher. Hypothesis 1-2 was found to be meaningful with the significance level of 0.05, and when the social support was regarded important, the will of economic activities was also higher. Lastly, Hypothesis 1-3 was found to not be statistically significant. Conclusions - The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for vitalization of the Korean Chinese' economic activities and governmental support for it, and to be a guideline in preparing successful strategies for expansion of the Korean Chinese' economic activities in the future by applying these results.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of social interaction on metacognition, learning motive and academic achievement in elementary science learning. The science lessons emphasizing social interactions that is applied to this study was comprised of 5 stages, 'introduction', 'inquiry activity', 'small group emergent activity', 'large group emergent activity', 'conclusion and assessment'. The results of this study were as follows: First, applying the learning model emphasizing social interaction to the experimental group led to a significant difference between the result of the pre- and post-test, regarding metacognition, especifically those of declarative knowledge. And meaningful difference was drawn from the results of all elements in the lower category of regulation of cognition between the experimental and comparison group. Second, a significant difference was found between the pre- and post-test regarding learning motive, especially those of attention, relation, and self-confidence. Third, after applying the learning model emphasizing social interaction to the science classes of the experimental group, students' academic achievement improved significantly in the post-test, compared to the results of pre-test.
The aim of this study was to observe processes and implication to a given program for the 20 gifted children grade 5 by making the number from 1 to 100 with natural numbers 4,4,9 and 9. Revelation of creativity, mathematical tendency of students and meaningful responses were observed by the qualitative records of this game activity and the analysis of result. The major result of a study is as follows: The mathematical creativities of students were revealed and developed by this activity. And the mathematical attitude were changed and developed, so student could actively participate. And students could experience collaborative and social composition learning by presentations and discussion, competition with a permissive atmosphere and open-game rule. It was meaningful that mathematical ideas (negative number, square root, factorial, [x]: the largest integer not greater than x, absolute value, percent, exponent, logarithm etc.) were suggested and motivated by students themselves.

This study analyzed the characteristics of generation Z leading the trend of the fashion industry through the creative activity of Virgil Abloh. A literature review and case study were conducted together with detailing the research methodology. As a result of research, generation Z is conceptualized as a "digital native" who grows in digital technology environment with excellent visual sense. They are "SNS creators" who have influence on Social Networking Services (SNS). They are also characterized as "social activists" who reject social conventions and prejudices. They are a "leading creators" who seek to differentiate with creativity. The characteristics of generation Z in the creative activities of Virgil Abloh have a feature of digital native in that they seek visual originality. In terms of communicating with generation Z through SNS and influencer marketing, it has the characteristics of SNS creators. It expresses social activists in providing consumers with diversity, and social perceptions of differentiation. In terms of providing content that encourages consumers to express their personality, it has a feature of leading creators. It is meaningful in that it contributes to the understanding of the market change and marketing strategy according to the consumer development and the activity of the fashion designer.
The purpose of this study, a self-written questionnaire was conducted on 110 people aged 65 or older to analyze the factors of meaningful activities in elderly. As a research methods were student t-test and one-way ANOVA were conducted using the SPSS statistical program, and hierarchical regression analysis was performed to identify factors affecting meaningful activities of the elderly. As a result of the study, the highest score was 3.95±0.64 in "I think my work (activity) with my family is rewarding." As a result of hierarchical regression analysis, the factors affecting the meaningful activities of the elderly were 'resident' in both stages 1(β=-.308, p=.002), 2(β=-.330, p=<.001), and 3(β=-.281, p=<.001), and 'age(β=-.215, p=.026)' in the second stage, indicating that the factors affecting the meaningful activities of the elderly were 'resident' and 'age'. In conclusion, it's necessary to develop and apply a systematic program that prioritizes conversation and communication while working with families for the younger elderly(65-74). In the future, it will be necessary to systematically apply various programs for meaningful activities in old age.
