How Dense Are Rational Numbers?: An Inclusive Materialist Case Study to Digital Technology (초등학생의 디지털 테크놀로지를 이용한 유리수 조밀성 탐구 사례 분석: 포괄적 유물론에서의 접근)

  • This study examines the influence of the bodily interaction with digital technology on meaning-making process in a mathematical activity. Increasing interest in the use of multi-touch dynamic digital technology has brought the movement of the body to the center of research focus in recent mathematics education literature. Thereby, we investigate the process in which the meaning of the density of rational numbers emerges around the bodily interaction on the multi-touch dynamic digital technology. We analyze a case of a small group of primary school students with microethnography. In the result, the students formed the higher level of meaning of the density, where the finger movement of zooming in-and-out played a crucial role throughout the meaning-maknig process.

  • This thesis aims to suggest probability of modern confrontation of Yulgok YiYi's thought. For this, find out the meaning of Li-Qi-Zhi-Miao(理氣之妙) and through the Qi-Fa-Li-Cheng-Yi-Tu(氣發理乘一途), and Li-Tong-Qi-Ju-Shou(理通 氣局說), Yin-Xim-Do-Xim-Shou(人心道心說), he creatively reveal the relation of Xin(心) Xing(性) Qing(情) Yi(意) continually. On one side he suggested the way of ideal man, on the other side he was showed adaptablity to the real world. So I think Yulgok had placed emphasis on the Zhongyong(中庸) and Yijing(周易), so he point out the meaning of ShiZhong (時中). Then he had high ideals practical Zhi-Zhonghe((致中和). So This paper is to find out his foundation of epistemology, and then to know It's modern meaning of methodology of moral Education's Implication on the relation of Xin(心) Xing(性) Qing(情) Yi(意). So We ca find out Ji(機) is very important the transition of Qi-Zhe(氣質).

  • As the social value gradually increases, the company's social responsibilities are granted and there are a growing number of requirements for a public value to economic value for the company. The cause marketing which has become widely known, it allows us to realize these values and in dictionary meaning, enterprises justification combines with marketing strategically, and is also illustrated as 'Cause Related Marketing.' For specific action plan, it is a marketing by connecting the selling of the product and donation to work out together to improve environment, public health, and poverty. This study examines how the cause marketing impact on the consumer's purchasing behaviour and purchasing intention and to find out whether there is an interrelationship. As a result, it turned out that cause marketing effect on purchasing attitudes and also the purchasing behaviour impact on the purchasing intention. Furthermore, the cause marketing influence on purchasing intention. As the idea of consumption gradually changes from the product consumption to value-based consumption as the time flows, the result of this research drew out the meaningful contents.

The Study of Documentaries' 'Rhetoric' as a Statement on Social Issues: Focused on EBS-TV (사회적 쟁점에 대한 발언으로서 다큐멘터리의 수사학 연구: EBS-TV <지식채널(e)>를 중심으로)

  • has become the representative program of EBS after first airing in 2004. After seeing as a media text, this study was fulfilled on the basis of Bill Nichols' "Rhetoric" discussion, in order to analyze the structural method and social meaning of the program. As a result of the study, we were first able to see that was taking form as a documentary to make a constructive statement on current affairs related to Korean society, by mobilizing 'knowledge' related to these issues. Second, the "rhetoric" plays an important role in the program's process to generate meaning, and despite the text being relatively short, the rhetorical process undergone for the generation of meaning has been fully reflected. Moreover, the program was successfully structuring a new method of generating meaning by enthusiastically raising questions and choosing a unique method of vision mix. Third, by looking at the study's results in-depth, we can see that was creating a ideological place for open discussion, which was providing viewers with the satisfaction of overcoming our society's dominating ideology and forming new ones. In that sense, the easily accessible 'knowledge'that surrounds us holds somewhat of a political meaning. On top of that, it can be seen that the program especially, is a media text that holds a cultural political meaning, which is an important factor to consider in the Korean broadcasting industry. In conclusion, we found out that this program uses 'knowledge' to see the possibility of 'knowledge'journalism by making constructive statements through a 'rhetorical' process.

Reciprocal Peer Review and Revision in Writing (동료 간 상호리뷰와 글 수정행동)

  • This study examined how students revised their writing after reciprocal peer review and how their revision activities were influenced by the review. Undergraduates in physics class wrote a laboratory reports, exchanged comments with peers, and revised their reports afterward based on the comments they received from their peers. The comparison between the original and the revised drafts showed that students were mainly concerned with micro-meaning revisions, focusing on making changes on individual words, clauses, and sentences. Revisions that dealt with macro-meaning of the texts were not as frequent. Giving and receiving comments influenced later revision activities. Receiving comments on micro-meaning of the texts led to a significant increase in both micro- and macro-meaning revisions. Receiving comments on macro-meaning of the texts, however, did not prompt relevant revision activities. Even when students engaged in macro revision, it was negatively related to writing performance gains in one subgroup, suggesting that even after peers point out macro-problems in their writing, students are not competent to solve the problems yet. The results of the study suggest that more efforts are needed to help them to understand and manipulate the macro-meaning structure of the texts.

The Play World Structure of EBS Character "Pengsu" (EBS 캐릭터 '펭수'의 놀이세계 구조)

  • Even ordinary-looking plays can have a profound meaning. Based on this assumption, Eugene Pink (1960) has established an analytical model of play with five elements, namely "delight", "meaning", "community", "rules" and "tools." It was an effort to reflect on the true meaning of play beyond the cortical entertaining nature of play. In this study, it was carried out that all the texts containing images and performance from the EBS character "Pengsu" were selected, since he emerged as a new star in 2019. And also his play structure was analyzed by applying the Pink's model. As a result, Pengsu's play structure was confirmed to be systematic and complete as a play prototype because it was well-organized with five elements of play. It was regarded as a successful character that skillfully attracts participants to the play world. Among the components of the play, "fun" was found to be his funny appearance, sudden and unconventional behavior, "meaning" was the elimination of authoritarianism, self-esteeming and energizing, "community" was a multi-platform media user who crossed off-on-line, analog-digital-line, "rules" was to set his concept fixed as a young stranger with an ego to unreveal his identity, and "tools" was shown as his character itself and continual discourse. It shows that until now, Pengsu has a social net function of quite spreading the positive meaning of encouragement and comfort, advice and guide, consideration and forgiveness, introspection and nirvana to all members of our society, including the youth who are struggling with uncertainty and anxiety by showing rather exaggerated and stimulating performance that precisely combines these play elements.

A Study on Error Analysis of Words Used in Shiji Liezhuan Presented in the Great Chinese-Korean Dictionary (『한한대사전(漢韓大辭典)』에 수록된 『사기(史記)·열전(列傳)』 관련어휘 오류연구(誤謬硏究))

  • This article attempts to correct errors in five words related to Shiji (The Grand Scribe's Records) Liezhuan (A Series of Biographies), which are presented in the Great Chinese-Korean Dictionary. The author analyses the problems with meaning interpretations of three words and additional meaning interpretations of two words. The main points of the study are presented in the following. First, in relation to the error correction in meaning interpretation, this study finds out that the explanations of "jiayu," "jiaochi," and "guancai" in the Great Chinese-Korean Dictionary are incorrect. Most of the cases include plausible interpretations of the words that are likely to cause readers to be confused with the meanings. Each of the words should be interpreted as "lend${\rightarrow}$give," "arrangement${\rightarrow}$new decoration, ornamentation, or embellishment after removing old one," and "accept something carefully or accept something after inspection${\rightarrow}$look over carefully or search for something." Second, as for the supplementary correction, this study points out that the explanations of "xiaoshi" and "shennian" are not sufficient. The following meanings for each word should be added, including "display skills" and " be trapped inside one's own mind." Furthermore, when comparing with the different translation versions by scholars at home and abroad, we can come to a following conclusion. The interpretations made by Zheng, Fan-Zhen are the most accurate for the "jiayu" item. With respect to the "jiaochi" item, the interpretations given by Piao, Yi- Feng; Wang, Li-Qi; Yang, Zhong-Xian; and Hao, Zhi-Da are relatively appropriate. The "guancai" item is adequately interpreted by Piao, Yi-Feng and Wang, Li-Qi. In the meaning interpretation of the "xiaoshi," Jin, Yuan- Zhong gave correct explanations. In addition, it is considered that Wang, Zhong provided the most ideal translations for the item "shennian."

Error Correction Methode Improve System using Out-of Vocabulary Rejection (미등록어 거절을 이용한 오류 보정 방법 개선 시스템)

  • In the generated model for the recognition vocabulary, tri-phones which is not make preparations are produced. Therefore this model does not generate an initial estimate of parameter words, and the system can not configure the model appear as disadvantages. As a result, the sophistication of the Gaussian model is fall will degrade recognition. In this system, we propose the error correction system using out-of vocabulary rejection algorithm. When the systems are creating a vocabulary recognition model, recognition rates are improved to refuse the vocabulary which is not registered. In addition, this system is seized the lexical analysis and meaning using probability distributions, and this system deactivates the string before phoneme change was applied. System analysis determine the rate of error correction using phoneme similarity rate and reliability, system performance comparison as a result of error correction rate improve represent 2.8% by method using error patterns, fault patterns, meaning patterns.

The Meaning of Practice in Theory (이론(理論, Theoria)에 있어서의 실기의 의미)

  • What is 'Art Theory'? In the western sense, the term poses a vague ambiguity, and in the eastern, it is rather an abstract and metaphysical concept. As for etymology, theory is derived from theoria and theoria from theoros. It refers to an act of viewing or seeing, of course not in a metaphysical sense. Plato understood it as 'eide'. During the time of Plotinus, theoria encompassed gazing at every possible reality, and this gazing, that is theoria, is closely related to reality as aunit that theoriacan perceive. However, we tend to distinguish, as other scientists of dualism have done, studio art from theory since a pre-modern approach to art has been particularly tuned to studio practice, set apart from theory. Therefore, in studio classes, students are expected to learn the subject based on the foundational curriculum methods such as medium, genre, technique:, rather than bringing out their own interpretations and discussing theories. As a result, students have become artists, who are not able to understand their own art. Art professors who conduct class in studio are required to proceed with specific 'theories' as well as 'intellectual reflections'. In this respect, this thesis presents poiesis and an idea of 'acting out'. Although art history and aesthetic theory tend to view art as a finished product, actual art-making and related theories should not only be acknowledged as 'completion' (finition) but also be accompanied by theoretic interpretations of the act itself and process. Accordingly, it is to accept and appreciate art as finished result in view of current theory and aesthetics thus boils down to aisthesis. Likewise, poietics starts from a point where an artist is related to studio and examines the 'work process' that extends as far as to the exact end of work. Through the study of such relationship, it is possible that theory understands 'studio' and 'process', and an artist can grant an independent meaning to studio where s/he pours her/his heart out creating a work of art. Theory is a study on artistic discovery thus should be equipped with functions that can accommodate fortuity, imitation, thinking, culture, and surrounding.

Teaching Diverse Proofs of Means and Inequalities and Its Implications (여러 가지 평균과 부등식을 이용한 대학수학 학습)

  • In this paper, we attempted to find out the meaning of several means and inequalities, their relationships and proposed the effective ways to teach them in college mathematics classes. That is, we introduced 8 proofs of arithmetic-geometric mean equality to explain the fact that there exist diverse ways of proof. The students learned the diverseproof-methods and applied them to other theorems and projects. From this, we found out that the attempt to develop the students' logical thinking ability by encouraging them to find out diverse solutions of a problem could be a very effective education method in college mathematics classes.
