This paper presents new QRD-based recursive least squares algorithms for bilinear lattice filter. Bilinear recursive least square lattice algorithms are derived by using the QR decomposition for minimization covariance matrix of predication error by applying Givens rotation to the bilinear recursive least squares lattics algorithms. The proposed algorithms are applied to the bilinear system identification to evaluate the performance of algoithms. Computer simulations show that the convergence properties of the proposed algorithms are superior to that of the algorithms proposed by Baik when signal includes the measurement noise.

This paper presents a nonlinear least squares decision feedback equalizer Bilinear systems are attractive because of the ability to approximate a large class of nonlinear systems efficiently. The nonlinearity of channel is modeled using a bilinear system. The algorithms are derived by using the QR decomposition for minimization covariance matrix of prediction error by applying Givens rotation to the bilinear model. Result of computer simulation experiments that compare the performance of the bilinear DFE to two other DFE's in eliminating the intersymbol interference caused by a nonlinear channel are presented In the paper.

This paper presents an efficient hardware architecture to enable the high-speed Givens rotation-based QR decomposition. The proposed architecture achieves a highly parallel givens rotation process by maximizing the number of pivots selected for parallel zero-insertions. Sign-select lookahed (SSL)-CORDIC is also efficiently used for the high-speed givens rotation. The performance of QR decomposition hardware considerably increases compared to the conventional triangular systolic array (TSA) architecture. Moreover, the circuit area of QR decomposition hardware was reduced by decreasing the number of flip-flops for holding the pre-computed results during the decomposition process. The proposed QR decomposition hardware was implemented using TSMC $0.25{\mu}m$ technology. The experimental results show that the proposed architecture achieves up to 70 % speed-up over the TACR/TSA-based architecture for the $8{\times}8$ matrix decomposition.

We propose a fast algorithm using Extreme Contour Point (ECP) to detect the angle of rotated images, is implemented by rotation feature of one covered frame image that can be applied to correct the rotated images like in image processing for real time applications, while CORDIC is inefficient to calculate various points like high definition image since it is only possible to detect rotated angle between one point and the other point. The two advantages of this algorithm, namely compatibility to images in preprocessing by using Sobel edge process for pattern recognition. While the other one is its simplicity for rotated angle detection with cyclic shift of two $1{\times}n$ matrix set without complexity in calculation compared with CORDIC algorithm. In ECP, the edge features of the sample image of gray scale were determined using the Sobel Edge Process. Then, it was subjected to binary code conversion of 0 or 1 with circular boundary to constitute the rotation in invariant conditions. The results were extracted to extreme points of the binary image. Its components expressed not just only the features of angle ${\theta}$ but also the square of radius $r^2$ from the origin of the image. The detected angle of this algorithm is limited only to an angle below 10 degrees but it is appropriate for real time application because it can process a 200 degree with an assumption 20 frames per second. ECP algorithm has an O ($n^2$) in Big O notation that improves the execution time about 7 times the performance if CORDIC algorithm is used.

About vibration model of Six-degrees-of-freedom(DOF), in mass load, examined results for knowing dynamic interference and response variation is as follows; In case of putting mass load upon the object, experimented results on two-degrees-of-freedom of the translation-1 direction and the rotation-1 direction at open-loop-control system, about 0.19 arcsed in input of the translation-$0.1{\mu}m$ and $0.022{\mu}m$ on input of the rotation-0.5 arcsec, the justicse of motion equation is acknowledged as confirming the appearance of the interference-$0.022{\mu}m$. In establishing calculation of transformation matrix by using analogue circuit, as simulating results that used incomplete differentiation, interference is $1.7{\times}10^{-3}$ arcsec on input of the translation-$0.1{\mu}m$ and $1.4{\times}10^{4}{\mu}m$ on input of the rotation-0.5 arcsec in open-loop-control system. Also it is $4.2{\times}10^{-4}$ arcsec on input of the translation-$0.1{\mu}m$ and $5.6{\times}10^{-5}{\mu}m$ on input of the rotation-0.5 arcesc in closed-loop-control system. As closed-loop-control system is better than open-loop-control system, equivalent accordance is confirmed on original response. Finally, fundamental validity of this theory is acknowledged.
Precipitation of the ordered icosahedral quasicrystal in Mg-6wt%Zn-1wt%Y alloy has been characterized by transmission electron microscopy observations. The lamellar-type icosahedral qusicrystal phases (I-phase) with the face-centered icosahedral (FCI) structure are observed in alloy after solution treatment at $550^{\circ}C$. In the alloy annealed at $400^{\circ}C$, polygon-shaped I-phases are observed in the ${\alpha}$-Mg matrix. The interfaces of the I-phase with the matrix are facetted and the facets are on five-fold and two- fold plane of the I-phase. The orientation relationship of the I-phase with the matrix is determined to be $[I5]_I//[001]_{Mg}$, $(2f)_I//(2\overline{1}0)_{Mg}$ and $[I2]_I//[311]_{Mg}$, $(5f)_I//(0\overline{1}1)_{Mg}$. The icosahedral grains are occasionally found to be twinned with one of the five-fold axis as the twin axis. The twin boundaries appear to be fairly straight and perpendicular to the fivefold twin axis. The icosahedral twin can be expressed as a rotation of $63.4^{\circ}$ or $116.62^{\circ}$ around two fold zone axis.

Rotational machines such as optical disk drives, hard disk drives, and so on are subject to periodic disturbances caused by their mechanical characteristics. In the meanwhile, it is well known that repetitive control rejects periodic disturbance effectively. This paper presents a practical application of repetitive control to the track-following servo of an optical disk drive. The repetitive control system is composed of two repetitive controllers which compensate for periodic disturbances generated by track geometry and eccentric rotation of disk and a feedback controller stabilizing the feedback loop. A robust stability for all plant uncertainties is proved using linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). In the controller design, a weighting function is introduced for the feedback controller to ensure a minimum loop gain and a sufficient phase margin. The repetitive controllers and the feedback controller are designed by solving an optimization problem which can consider the robust stability condition and the system performance. The developed repetitive control system is implemented in the digital control system with a 16-bit fixed-point digital signal processor (DSP). Through simulation and experiment. The feasibility of the proposed repetitive control system is verified.

In this paper, it is proposed that an attitude and position estimation algorithm based on a stereo camera system for a helmet tracker. Stereo camera system consists of two CCD camera, a helmet, infrared LEDs and a frame grabber. Fifteen infrared LEDs are feature points which are used to determine the attitude and position of the helmet. These features are arranged in triangle pattern with different distance on the helmet. Vision-based the attitude and position algorithm consists of feature segmentation, projective reconstruction, model indexing and attitude estimation. In this paper, the attitude estimation algorithm using UQ (Unit Quaternion) is proposed. The UQ guarantee that the rotation matrix is a unitary matrix. The performance of presented algorithm is verified by simulation and experiment.

This paper presents the mosaic method that the video sequence with shift and rotation information after Mellin Transform. The results are used to compute the projection matrix for each image registration. So before registration, we process camera calibration in order to reduce the image warp by camera and then compute the global projection matrix for image registration for reducing errors from rut image to last image. This paper describes the mosaic method that compute duplication and movement information quickly and robust noise using projection matrix on Mellin Transform.
Accurate determination of the relative restraint of beam-to-column connections is important for both the strength and the serviceability of structural frames. But steel frame analysis is carried out under the assumption that the connections are either fixed or pinned. Overestimating the connection restraint can result in underestimating lateral sway and underestimating the connection restraint can lead to underestimating forces developed in the beams and columns. This implies that the exact stiffness of connections as well as the geometric effects should be considered in the frame analysis and the overall behavior of connections could be described adequately. Therefore, the stiffness matrix which is able to consider the moment-rotation of connection was derived previously and the modified exponential model, power model and the proposed log model are adopted for modeling the semi-rigid connections. The main purpose of this study is to examine the feasibility of the derived stiffness matrix and to show the validity of log model proposed.
